The thoughtful technician Ben came out and fixed our main door knob. He was thorough and explained all our options and left us with a fabulous and secure situation. I was afraid it was going to cost us a bunch more than it did but in the end was quite pleased with the tally. He also adjusted the strikeplate so the deadbolt fits perfectly. We had been "getting by" with the irksome little things this door kept throwing our way and Ben fixed it all with ease. His experience and wisdom sure left us in a better spot. Highly recommend this company. We used them from the jump when we moved here almost 14 years ago. This was about the fifth time we had to call them out on two different houses. I moved to Louisiana 12 years ago and for about 11 years of that I've driven by this place never given them a thought. Well. In the last year I've now had three occasions where I needed a key or a lock issue and these guys came through. The first was a car key for a 1966 Mustang. I went to Lowe's, then Hub City Ford and then Courtesy Ford and all I got was "sorry, can't help you". Lafayette Lock made a new set of keys in 5 minutes. Boom. I then had a house lock with a bad part and they had a replacement part in stock without having to replace the whole lock or re-key it. Nice! The last one was my wife locking her keys in an older car. They come over and popped the lock. So. Anytime I have a lock issue they are now the first stop I make. I live an hour away I called at 841 am spoke to a guy stated would be 15.00 To cut the key and 65.00 to Program total with tax right at 100.00. I drove to Lafayette get there and told 55.00 to cut and 65.00 to program. I told him that's not what I was told their excuse they have a lot of new guys so basically I drove over an hour for NOTHING!! Not A way to do business in these times. It worked twice and called them back to tell them it's not working and he said they don't guarantee their work! What kind of customer service it that. Today, I waited an hour for an inexperience representative to cut and program my non-transponder car key that they ordered for me a few days ago. After he was done, I tried the key and it didn't turn the ignition. The rep realizes his mistake and he was trying to make it right by switching out the chip from the mis-cut key to the new transponder key body. His boss told him no. He then proceeded to tell me that he will need to order another key and it will get here tomorrow. I told him how upsetting it was to wait and now he wants me to wait another day. He gave me an "oh well" look and said would I like a refund. I said yes. While processing the refund, he called me a derogatory name. I was shock at this bad service and the nerve to speak to me in this manner. I will understand if I curse him out, but I didn't. Don't do business here. read more
