This is the most awesome mattress store ever! I checked out all the big mattresses manufacturers at the chain stores and was not convinced that they would provide years of comfort and sleep. I had one of those foam organic mattresses and had a terrible problem falling asleep. So I started out by checking out mattresses at Mancini's Sleep World, etc. and I would think I found a good one, then I would check out the reviews and learn about the problems people found after time. I actually started to feel helpless but then I wandered into Naturepedic in SOMA SF and met the kindest person ever, the owner, Richard. I tested out all of the organic mattresses and found the one. It is called the Halcyon and is the most comfortable mattress I could have purchased. It is really heavy, but built to last, and with a price tag to match. But now I fall asleep every night and stay asleep. I had to give myself permission to spend so much money on a mattress, but am so glad I did. I have seen reviews where people claim the mattress hurt their back. I can honestly say the complete opposite has been true for me -- my back problems that plagued me with my old mattress have completely disappeared. I sleep deeper and wake up feeling genuinely rested every single morning. What truly sets this store apart is Richard himself. This extraordinary young owner delivered parts of my mattress personally in his own car -- a level of personal service you simply don't find anywhere anymore. Years after my purchase, when I encountered an issue, Richard stepped up immediately and resolved it with grace and generosity -- no questions asked. If you are lucky enough to work with Richard, you are in the very best hands. I cannot recommend this store and this man highly enough. read more

SLEEP365 - Halcyon mattress from Naturepedic. Tell Richard I said hi. - Mattresses Near Me - San Francisco, California

We needed to replace our beloved old organic mattress and were very ready to purchase. Unfortunately, the previous mattress store we had purchased our aging mattress had closed years ago so we searched online for a mattress company where we could try the bed in person. Sleep365 seemed to meet all our criteria for mattress quality and materials. The reviews were good. We made an appointment (it was one of the 'by appointment only' weekdays) and were looking very forward to a new mattress. Our appointment was confirmed the day before and thought we were set. Welp, we hitched up the covered wagon to drive across town to the storefront on SoMa. Though it looked very nice inside through the window, the lighting was dim the door locked. DENIED. We waited outside on the busy street checking our emails and vmail as we tried to contact our salesperson from the store to see if anyone was going show up to the appointment. The reviews were stellar; we must have been the unlucky ones. Wasted day and not willing to be fooled again. Still on the lookout for a good mattress, though. read more

My favorite store to buy mattresses! I purchased a Sleep365 Sunset king mattress in October 2025. Dominic is the best!

I was planning for a fabulous night's sleep when I bought the Halcyon mattress by naturePedic but it was a nightmare. It wrecked my back so badly I ended up with doctor's bills, and time having to go to the natural path to fix my back... even after purchasing a different mattress my circadian rhythm was off because I did not sleep more tan 3 hours for three months while trying to figure out different modifications of the bed. None of them worked. their 'no return' policy left me stuck. Even after begging, they only refunded 50% of $9000 was not nearly enough for the pain and hassle. Avoid this brand unless you want sleepless nights and pain and suffering. The Halcyon mattress by naturepedic was an extreme nightmare for many months. The Naturepedic Halcyon mattress was a massive letdown. The only thing it had going for it was the 'natural, no offgassing' claim, but that didn't save it. It trashed my back, leaving me in pain and racking up doctor's bills. Their no-return policy is a joke 50% back after fighting tooth and nail to even get a partial refund. I am happy to say I have a new mattress and I am sleeping better. I feel good when I wake up now I bought a Sleep Number bed. There's probably offgassing but at this point I don't care because I just need to sleep well. read more

Shopping for a mattress as a couple can feel like a quest for the Holy Grail--two people, two sets of needs, one perfect mattress. Thankfully, Sheryl at Sleep 365 turned what could have been a comedy of errors into a masterclass in customer care. My partner and I thought we'd hit the jackpot with a modular latex hybrid mattress, but after multiple reconfigurations, it became clear it wasn't the right fit for either of us. That's when Sheryl really stepped in. With her unmatched patience, razor-sharp attention to detail, and deep expertise, she guided us through layer swaps, firmness adjustments, and every possible setup to try to make it work. When it became obvious we needed a new direction, Sheryl went above and beyond to help us find the perfect alternative. She listened to both of us (no small feat when balancing two sets of preferences!), offered thoughtful solutions, and somehow managed to keep us smiling through the process. Sheryl's genuine care and dedication turned what could have been a stressful experience into an enjoyable one. She treated our mattress dilemma like her own mission, and thanks to her, we're on the road to finally sleeping soundly on a mattress that works for us. If you're shopping for a mattress--especially as a couple--do yourself a favor and visit Sheryl at Sleep 365. She's the ultimate mattress whisperer, and her commitment to making customers happy is nothing short of extraordinary. read more

We had the best experience shopping with Richard. We didn't realize you had to make an appointment for a store visit and when my husband called, Richard was able to answer all our questions over the phone instead. This guy knows his mattresses and with such a large investment, we wanted to make sure we made the right decision and after debating between two options, we went with Richard's recommendation and after sleeping on the mattress for over a week now, we can't be more grateful to have received his advice. We absolutely love our purchase, the customer service was top notch, and the quality of mattress is unbeatable. The delivery was also smooth and on time and they even helped take the old mattress away. I highly recommend their services if you're looking for a new mattress. read more

We had such a great experience in this store with Sheryl! She was very personable, patient, and knowledgable, answering our questions, clarifying any misconceptions we had about the beds, and making recommendations. She also switched out layers for us in the Naturepedic so that we could make sure we had the right combination. We flew up to SF to try these beds together, and we finally made a purchase after months of looking around. Thank you, Sheryl, for helping us feel confident in our choice. It was a pleasure purchasing a bed from you! read more

Not only are the mattresses they sell amazing - the people who work at the store are the kindest, most respectful people I've ever interacted with in a retail store. Furthermore, the are incredibly knowledgeable and patient. And- the best thing - is there is no pressure to buy a mattress. They let the quality of the mattress speak for itself. read more

The 5-star reviews are all accurate! Richard, the owner and CEO, was such a pleasure to work with. It was incredibly easy to make an appointment to view the mattresses. Right after I described what I liked and disliked about my now old mattress to him, he showed me to a mattress and topper that felt amazing, which, after trying out a few other mattresses, I ended up purchasing the mattress and topper Richard had originally recommended. The store was very clean and sanitary. Richard provided me with disposable sheets to lay on. The mattress itself is very high quality when compared to the likes of Brentwood, Avocado, Purple, etc. Best of all, it's a well-certified organic mattress, and it's truly safe to sleep on. Lastly, Richard hand delivered the mattress to me. You don't get that type of customer care these day's. With no hesitation, I recommend this place. Hi read more

SLEEP365 - My Sunset Organic Hybrid Mattress with the addition of their organic cloud-like latex topper. I will never buy a bed in a box again. - Mattresses Near Me - San Francisco, California

After many hours of online research, phone calls with vendors and a couple trips to brick & mortar stores, I decided on a queen size organic mattress sand narrowed my list of vendors down to Avocado and Sleep365. I had a productive and informative 30-minute video call with an Avocado rep that customized the layers of mattress, foam, pad, etc. we both agreed was the best choice for me. I was fairly certain I'd buy my mattress from Avocado but I still had an appointment with Richard at Sleep365 later that day. As a salesperson myself, I appreciate Richard's consulting approach (definitely non-salesy), his expert knowledge of mattress, bedding and related items. He has an intuitive and accurate assessment in customizing the specific layers of the mattress to ensure body alignment and ultimate comfort. He was very helpful and patient mixing up the different layers he thought ideal for me so I could test them by sitting and lying on the bed. I ultimately purchased from Richard/Sleep365 the Naturepedic EOS Classic, support coils in firm, comfort layer in medium latex, cotton mattress pad protector, Kapok latex side-sleeper pillow (I'm a back sleeper and highly recommend this pillow), and sateen fitted and flat sheets. I don't recall ever having the restful sleeping I've had with my customized Naturepedic from Sleep365. I highly recommend a visit to Richard at Sleep365 if you are shopping for a mattress, bedding, bed frames, etc. Thank you, Richard, for your caring and follow-up to ensure I am happy with my purchases. read more

We had a great experience at Sleep365. In need of a new mattress, we walked in on a Sunday afternoon looking for help. Sheryl took the time to listen to what we needed, thoughtfully pointed out a few mattresses that could meet our needs, explained construction and pricing details of each, and patiently let us try them out while we made up our minds and asked a bunch of follow-up questions. We ended up with a mattress that we were really happy with, and the post-purchase support has been great as well. Delivery was faster than expected. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Sleep365 to a friend, or anyone concerned about a healthful, good night's sleep. Thank you, Sheryl and Sleep365! What a gem of a shop for carefully-made, organic mattresses! read more

Had a great experience buying a Naturepedic mattress from Richard! The store has a very calming vibe and Richard was patient and helpful in letting us try various mattresses and answering our questions in our two visits to the store. We appreciated his low pressure, non-pushy vibe that made the shopping experience stress free and very pleasant. We had delivery timeline constraints which he was able to accommodate. Additionally, he was responsive and helpful in follow up questions we had regarding the delivery and getting a price adjustment for a sale! read more

I can't thank Dominic enough for helping my elderly and cantankerous parents pick out a new bed. They couldn't agree with each other and even exchanged the first mattress they selected, only to return to the store to try some different options. Dominic was beyond patient with their not so nice behavior and after quite a lot of their bickering he steered them to the option where they each got to customize their own side for a pretty minimal extra cost. While their behavior was rather embarrassing (I was there both times to make sure they came away with a solution) they were very happy in the end. They can't say enough good things about where they landed with this purchase. My mom has terrible respiratory problems so I am incredibly delighted that they are now in a non-toxic bed. Thank you again to Dominic for being so helpful and patient with them. read more

We just purchased our 3rd naturepedic mattress. The first was for my son's crib, the second for his full sized bed and this third one was for our new king size bed. Loved the ability for each person to build their half of the mattress the way they like but also the option to get a more affordable organic mattress that was more of a one size feels comfortable for all approach. Thanks to the store manager for helping us navigate options and find a solution that provided the organic qualities we wanted at a price point we felt comfortable with Can't wait for it to arrive. read more

I got my 4 month old's crib mattress from here. Great customer service and timely delivery. Love the mattress. We ended up getting the crib floor model too and it was an awesome deal. Will ship here again. Highly recommend. read more

5 star, no less. We likes very firm mattress and was referred here by a friend. Richard was helpful from the very start, helping us choosing the right mattress and different customizations. He was also very responsive to our calls and texts. The mattress we got was made from coconut, all natural products and firm on the back. The combination of good quality mattress, honest service, and reasonable price gives it a 5 star. read more

We got a mattress for my son. I was dragging my feet to find one but Dominic helped us out and we got one that we like for a good price and I'm greatly relieved. The mattress is made of good materials, seems to be very well build, and is really comfortable. Thanks! read more

My husband and I haven been mattress shopping for a while and have tried a lot of different spots -- from high-end beds to middle of the road -- and most mattresses have been virtually indistinguishable. Richard @ sleep365 was phenomenal at helping us find a mattress that we've been super happy with, 6 months post-purchase. First of all, it was easy to get in touch with him and set up an appointment during these weird COVID times. Once we got there, he was personable and listened to what we were looking for and the problems we had with our current bed. He recommended a few models and took the time to explain the constructional differences between them. We spent at least an hour trying the different beds, and adjusting the layering to narrow down the one we wanted. We never felt rushed or misguided, it was a great experience figuring out what was working vs. not. We ended up getting a mattress, mattress cover, and four pillows. Delivery was smooth. 6 months later my neck and back pain are gone and my husband and I have dramatically improved our quality of sleep. read more

This is a great shop. They sell 100% natural and organic customizable mattresses and pillows, and sustainably made bed frames. They carry a line of mattresses from Naturepedic that is very clever. Latex mattresses are great, but they weigh a ton! So Naturepedic sells mattresses that are a combination of coils (as in a box spring) and a layer of latex on top of that. That makes the mattresses much lighter, plus it gives much more flexibility in finding the exact degree of firmness or softness that is comfortable. Sleep365 provides excellent customer service and their staff will do whatever they can to help customers find out which mattresses or pillows are the most comfortable for them. This includes replacing the layer of latex on a set of coils so that we could be sure that we got the exact combination of coils and latex foam that we wanted. There is also a 30 day return period for pillows and a 90 day period to customize mattresses so that you can make sure they work for you. The mattresses have a 20 year warranty. read more

TL/DR: Buy your next mattress from Sleep365 If sleeping on a supportive, organic cloud is what you're into, Sleep365 is the place to go. After trying several "bed in a box" mattresses and getting poor sleep and sore backs, we made our way to Sleep365 to up our sleep game. Richard helped us out and he was so helpful and knowledgeable. He offered insight into sleeping positions and mattress firmness, and gave us plenty of time to lay and flop around on the mattresses in search of the one. After we found our dream mattress, Richard went above and beyond to make sure we received it. There were delays with the third party shipper (nothing to do with Sleep365) and Richard ended up personally picking up and delivering our mattress to make sure we'd get it. As for the mattress itself, it's cozy and soft and what every mattress wishes it could be. read more

This is a really good sized shop that is clean and has a lot of options for organic mattresses, organic sheets, pillows, mattress pads, etc. I love the customization options on all of the mattresses so they can all be made as firm or as soft as you need! Sheryl was extremely helpful, answered all my questions and was very knowledgeable about the products. She also wore a mask the entire time which was also very much appreciated. She was really kind and patient and was responsive to emails when additional questions came up. Sheryl made my family and me feel very welcomed and comfortable. The mattresses were all super comfortable and we're very excited to be getting a new organic mattress! Thank you Sheryl and sleep365! We will be back for our future needs and will tell our friends! read more

Richard helped me pick out the perfect mattress for myself and a great mattress topper for my son's bed! He is super knowledgable and so helpful during the mattress shopping experience. Before I went to Sleep365, the only thing I knew about mattresses was that I didn't want one that was too firm. He really took the time to get to know me and my sleeping habits and helped me find a mattress that would be comfortable for the way I sleep (on my side). The SOMA location is beautiful and easy to find (but avoid the nearby parking garage - I think I accidentally parked in an unauthorized area and got stuck in there for nearly 20 minutes before a resident helped me escape... but that's a tale for another day!) read more

I needed a mattress for my daughter and wanted to purchase an organic one. I called to come in and Richard was really accommodating. I was happy to hear they had a San Francisco location because oddly when I did a Google search only their Burlingame location came up. Richard was beyond amazing to work with! He was very knowledgeable, super friendly and wonderful through the whole process! He was very engaging with my 5 year old who was so excited about her new bed. In this new world I have very limited interaction with people so it's a breath of fresh air when that interaction is such a joy like it was when dealing with Richard! I would highly recommend purchasing your next mattress here and especially working with Richard! read more

We LOVE our new organic mattress!! Super comfy and healthy for our family and our world!! Highly recommend!!

I was calling around town in search of a mattress pad, and on the basis of my conversation with owner James, I cancelled the organic queen mattress I'd ordered online and bought one from the Sleep 365 showroom. I bought the Marina organic latex mattress, along with a box spring. It's the best bed I've ever owned. The mattress is firm support yet you melt into it and barely even turn in the night you're so comfortable. James provided a substantial discount, free white glove delivery to the second floor of our house, and removal of the old bed. read more

THE STAFF HERE IS AMAZING! I just purchased a twin mattress from Sleep365 and because of covid FedEx was running behind and they had ensured me that it would be there by my daughter's birthday (the big girl bed was the big present). It wasn't going to show up on time so the staff there called another store from San Jose and had them HAND deliver to Marin a mattress in time for her birthday. They MADE her birthday dreams come true and went the extra mile. They were delightful to work with and I cannot recommend them enough. Best customer service I have experienced in ages! read more

Originally, I purchased pillows from the Sleep365 San Jose location but was so glad to see that a store was now in the city, very convenient! They had parking available off of Harrison which made it super easy to visit and they have my favorite coffee place within walking distance, Vega! I now needed to replace my full size bed to a queen for more room and wanted something more eco-friendly. I went shopping around and discovered there are more brands now available selling natural mattresses, but a lot of them still have foam or are not certified by a reputable source. Sleep365 had options that were made right here in San Francisco so I love that aspect. They also had the entire line of Naturepedic Organic mattresses which were awesome too. I met Richard who helped me figure out exactly what I needed. This whole company is amazing, very consistent service...definitely recommend going here, trying out mattresses and talking to an expert versus trying to figure out what I need online. It is worth taking the extra time at the store because of how much my sleep means to me. read more
