First of all, I am happy with my bed. My complaint is with the financing the sales associate eagerly pushed on me. When he said "interest free for a year" he somehow failed to mention that "unless you pay the entire amount within a year you will be charged interest in arrears at 35% on the entire balance from the date of purchase". They deal with the largest predatory lender in the country Synchronybank. (Read the reviews of them on BBB website). A truly horrific institution which sleep number pushes hard, but does not disclose when pushing it. not saying they get a kickback from Synchrony, but it sure smells like it. Deceitful to say the least. On top of that Sleep number customer service is non-existent. No response after many attempts. Truly don't give a flip about their customers. read more

Excellent service and very knowledgeable salesman. Took the time to explain the differences in mattresses. On day of delivery, technicians arrived on time and quickly set up the mattress and base. They showed me how to use the "smart bed" applications and answered all of my questions. I have had the mattress 6 week and so far no problems. What a shame. The initial buying process and delivery were pleasant. GOD FORBID IF YOU NEED CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM SLEEP NUMBER OR THEIR FINANCE PARTNER SYNCHRONY BANK. I had an accounting problem with their finance partner, Synchrony Bank. I have to date spent SIX (6) hours on hold with incompetent people in India trying to resolve the issue. They evidentially do not have any management in the US. The result now is I have been billed twice. Yes, I have been zapped for another $7,900. The matter is still unresolved and unless I pay my credit gets dinged !!! I stopped by the store and asked the sales staff if I could get an email of someone in management to talk to about this. I was told that after talking to her manager and the area manager that they would turn in a "ticket" to have someone call me. What a crappy way to treat a customer that just spent $8,500 on a bed. I guess my only consolation will be a sappy apology of some sort from Chris V. from Business Customer Service, an oxymoron. On a side note I tried to get Sleep Number customer service on the line to adjust foot warmer .... Gave up after an hour of hold time. I can only assume that Sleep Number's business model does not depend on repeat business. read more

Weve had bed happliy for two years. Now, one air chamber requires replacement, which is partially out of warranty, so will require a cash outlay. The bed is very expensive so Im quite disappointed to replace parts this soon in its life cycle. Ill not recommend this product to my network of friends. Gene C. read more

We paid for delivery and setup. First they showed up and refused to remove our old bed. Then they refused to attach our headboard even though we purchased the headboard attachment. While we like the bed, I am not sure I would have purchased the bed if I had been informed about all of the setup problems. We are not the first customers to confront these issues and they should be more forthcoming before the purchase. Doesn't say much for their integrity. read more

Imagine being 9 months pregnant and all of a sudden your mattress you bought 6 months ago starts deflating. That's the situation I'm in now. I've got a mattress that we spent a lot of money on that can't be used. Best part is that I have to fix it myself (well, I begged since I'm on bed rest and they'll send a technician). What they don't tell you at the store is that if anything goes wrong, you have to troubleshoot by putting caps on the hoses to determine the cause. After the cause is figured out they'll send you the part to fix free of charge during their warranty, but it's $99 to have a technician come out to fix if you can't do it. Had I bought a tempurpedic my bed would last the normal 10 years. I'm 6 months or so in and my bed can't be used. Hope you have another mattress you can sleep on while you troubleshoot, wait for part and possibly wait on a technician. To be honest, it's very comfortable, but the price/inconvenience is not worth it. Wish I had known. read more

This review is for the experience at the Sleep Number store and not the bed...although I was talked into buying a $7,000 bed. Our salesman was Keith, and he was by far one of the most knowledgeable sales reps that I've met. He definitely knew his products and walked me through the long process of mattress buying. I went on a Monday just to look at the mattresses without any interest in purchasing one, and came back Wednesday to actually get it. Keith did call me on Wednesday to follow up, which is what sales people are supposed to do. He wasn't annoying about it, or pushy, but there were some times where he seemed very sales man like...go figure right? You get a yelp discount, so make sure you check in when you get there! All in all, a great experience. I'll update my review to include the bed once I get it and sleep on it for a while. read more

In store customer care was fine. Service Line was the worst I ever experienced in my life. It's been a week since I ordered, I have been trying to cancel ever since. They have $1300 of mine and I have been trying to get a hold of SOMEONE to cancel. I can not get through to anyone. This is absolutely rediculous. I want my money back. And they won't pick up the phone to cancel it out. Worst service EVER. Do not order from them. Each time I been on hold its been for 40 minutes or longer....USUALLY LONGER. read more

Moving across the country is a lot to deal with, as is getting settled in to a new place. Sold the bed back east and now it was shopping time. Everyone I spoke with at different stores all gave the same speech and you looked at different mattresses, lay in them for a few second while the sales person chatted w you and rushed you onto the next. Sleep number was totally different. And I had the pleasure of working with Gina at this location. She is very knowledgeable and took the time with us to understand what it was we were looking for. It was a process but as it was said you spend 1/3 of your life sleeping so comfort is so important!! And each person is different!!. After having time alone on the beds to lay and listen to our bodies we chose a bed. But the care didn't stop there. Financing and so forth was great again working with Gina who did all the hard work and continued communication post the sale is truly unique whine you buy a bed. If you are in the market for a new bed stop in here ask for Gina and tell her Gwen sent you!! I promise you won't be disappointed. Also you are in for lots of rewards as you mature w sleep number. Thank you Gina for everything you have done and I know will do for us in the future. !!! I am very upset after receiving a call 1 1/2 hours after our promised delivery time telling me that our delivery has been postponed for 17 days! When I asked why, they told me it was due to the truck being damaged. I was astounded that could happen in a huge city like Houston, Tx. I asked if they only had one delivery truck and she said no, we have five. I said then why can't another truck deliver it sooner, she responded that all 5 trucks had been vandalized. Vandalized?? Ok, maybe so but 17 days?? Were they totaled? I think not. I asked, then why can't you rent a truck for deliveries? She paused and told me that they would let me know if they figure something out between now and 17 days. This is unacceptable in a city this size with this many stores. I feel certain that they just don't have the mattress in stock and they are thinking up reasons to stall. I would much rather be told the truth than be lied to. If they lie about this, what else are they lying about? This is very disappointing because our sales service was impeccable. Sandy, at the Kirby store, was so knowledgable and went out of her way to find us the best deal on their top of the line mattress. If we don't receive it by July 16th, we will be demanding a full refund! read more

I just went to the Sleep Number store today for the first time. Craig was our sales person and I felt compelled to come home and write a great review about him and our experience. Craig was extremely informative and patient with us and knew everything there was to know about the products he was selling. There were no high-pressure sales tactics used and he was very open about many different options that we could select from. We left the store with satisfied and are eagerly awaiting our new Sleep Number adjustable bed in the next couple of weeks! read more

Horrible customer service. Larry, a true salesman, lied multiple times when asking questions and ordering components for our bed. When asked if they had adjustable legs, he said yes and we told him that we wanted to order them. When they came, they were not adjustable and upon our first return to the store, were told that there are no adjustable legs for that bed and we should get risers at lowes or Home Depot. We've had at least two other issues (not with the bed itself) and he was less than helpful or sympathetic when trying to fix the issues and just continued to attempt to sell sleep number products. Don't let Larry sell you anything and deal with a different sales rep. Also, if you buy a pillow in the store, get one that is in-stock and don't order one and have it shipped. Apparently, you can only exchange once and the pillow that the sales rep ordered for us in store was definitely not the same pillow that we tried out. Had to return and was told we can only exchange once although the incorrect pillow was ordered in the first place. For as much money as we spent on a bed (which is essentially an air mattress) I would expect better customer service. read more
