This is an employee review. My split top 360 King decided to malfunction 3 years after I purchased it for $10k and right before I went in for prostate cancer surgery. I called the Sleep Number corporate number and they sent me a useless part that wasn't part of the problem. I went through my surgery then realized I really need my bed to work for comfort. The repair center wouldn't repair my bed because I didn't have a remote. They referred me to my Sleep Number store and said to tell them I needed a remote for free. I called the Elk Grove store. Monique answered right away. I explained my situation and asked if I could buy a remote. Free wasn't in my thoughts because I just wanted a remote. She explained remotes are no longer available because of the chip technology and corporate shouldn't have referred me to them. Instead of ending the conversation, Monique went above and beyond her sales duties and became my advocate. She called corporate and explained my situation. She made sure the corporate employee, Rainy, understood my frustration and dilemma. Rainy is sending me a remote so I can now move on to the next step in getting my bed repaired. Thank you, Monique. Your kindness brought tears to my eyes during a low point in my life. To Sleep Number, give this woman a promotion and a raise. She represents a company I lost faith in and she redeemed my trust. This review is for the beds, not necessarily the store. I would caution anyone considering purchasing a sleep number bed that there are many issues. We have had our bed for 5 years. I started out really liking it. But then the issues started. Connectivity issues constantly. We kept having to reconnect the bed to the internet almost daily which was a pain. Then one side of the bed (we have a queen with dual pump) started losing air. By morning, my husband's side of the bed was nearly flat. We did the troubleshooting directions and discovered that we need a new air chamber at a cost of $320. And another $200 to have it installed if you choose to not install it yourself. This is ridiculous for a bed that is 5 years old and supposedly under warranty for 15 years. I am planning to just purchase a new bed and take the sleep number to the dump. I don't want to sink more money into a bed that has already had so many problems. And the sleep number warranty is not worth the paper that it is printed on. Buyer beware!! UPDATE to their reply-we DID contact the customer service and those are the prices to make our 5 year old bed usable again. Completely unacceptable. THEY DONT COVER ANY LABOR AND THEY DONT COVER MUCH OF THE PARTS. DO NOT BUY FROM ANY SLEEP NUMBER STORE. ITS THE MFG POLICY THATS WORTHLESS. We purchased a new King size ILE360 from Joeseph in June 2022. This was not good at all! Joeseph said we had to pay extra $50 for hand held mattress adjuster and that it would eventually be obsolete. Now we can only adjust mattress pressure through phone ap, which does not allow both sides of the king to change air pressure by a number setting like the hand held once did. Now 3 years into my 15 yr warranty and i call store where i am redirected to some foreign call center who will schedule sub contracted repair tech to come to my home only after they charge me $190 for tech labor first. I ask call center rep to order side wall piece for left side of bed so it can be replaced while tech is here. She tells me she cant and will only do so when repair guy says to do this. Now im pissed with this nonsense, shitty warranty support. Then the call center woman tells me, theres a 30 day clock ticking on the $190 repair ticket she just initiated. Which means, the parts for any repair must be called in immediately after diagnosing whats needed so the repair can be completed within the 30 days. This is all such TOTAL BULLSHAIT. I will never, ever buy a Sleep Number bed again, as long as i live. This sort of warranty should be illegal as its not a warranty for consumer but rather an easy way for each Sleep Number store to be liable for nothing after the sale. FCK THIS STORE AND THIS ENTIRE COMPANY, DO NOT BUY ANY SLEEP NUMBER BED. THESE ARE PRICEY BEDS WITH CRAP WARRANTY. read more

The manager as this location(Kurt or Kirk) is condescending and rude. I bought a bed which was delayed a week and called the location....his answer was you bought a bed for 15-30 years, why can't you wait for it to be delivered. He never apologized, don't buy anything from this location as the management is rude. There beds aren't cheap either, all a customer wants is a reason and some understanding on the customers end. read more

Monique and Kirk were so sweet and so helpful! I felt seen the entire time my husband & I were there, and almost felt like we were all friends by the end of our hour visit. We both have been through a lot health wise, and they listened to our whole life story, as well as show us electronically how our bodies were affected by our surgeries. Kirk was very knowledgeable and articulate (I think he was the manager). Monique, our sales person, was very sweet and shared her own disability/condition story. She really understood how some people look at us a certain way and judge without knowing us. We ultimately landed on a performance series for the support, but the prices here are comparably close to other places. I would recommend anyone come here if they want a real person to work with, not a sales person. read more

Came here to check out a mattress. As one entered there were three customers and two employees working. I was greeted as and informed that someone would assist shortly. While waiting we walked around the store checking out the various products and awaited service. Within 10-15 minutes we were helped by Debi. Debi assessed the individual sleep numbers and showed the comparison of pressure points based on sleep numbers. Given it was close to closing time-Debi continued to assist us and we did not feel rushed. We selected a mattress, and engaged in conversation with Debi. We learned that Debi was the store manager well it showed. She took GREAT care of the customer and listened to the needs and wants in a mattress. Also, received a great deal as there was a promo going on. Only sad part is having to wait 4 weeks for the new mattress - no fault to Debi but given the price of said product one would hope that the product would be delivered quickly. Nonetheless- patience is a virtue and I shall continue to dream about our sleep number mattress. read more

We bought our bed back in December. And honestly we hate it. We have been waking up sore, in pain. We had adjusted the bed so many times and nothing helps. We ended up having to buy a mattress topper cause it's like sleeping on an air mattress. I honestly would never get this type of bed again it's so uncomfortable. read more

Very good service! My bf and I are on the hunt for a new mattress that doesn't cause or worsen back pain (which we both have). When we walked into the store, we were greeted immediately and asked if we wanted to get our Sleep Numbers read. Of course!!! We laid down on their bed that's hooked up to a cool looking clear screen and were given our lesson on Sleep Numbers. (Note: this process took about 20-30 minutes, so make sure you come when you have a lot of time). The lady who helped us (I feel bad but I forgot her name) was very professional and asked all of our questions thoroughly and expertly. After she told us what our sleep numbers were based on the cool technology they have, she had us try out all of the different types of bed they had using our sleep numbers. We spent a good hour going on all of the beds, going back and forth, and finally deciding that we liked the iComfort the best (which was one of the most expensive ones!!) eeeek! When we told her we were thinking about getting the iComfort, she was not pushy at all to make the sale. She wrote down our final amount, what it would be with the 0% financing, and told us to come back when we were ready. I liked that we weren't pressured but were given great service the whole time. (We were even offered water while we were there!) We are still trying to figure out which mattress to buy, but my experience here was wonderful. Keep it up! read more

My husband and I went here in December 2019 interested in a bed. Our experience at the at store was amazing. We had a wonderful sales woman. We even walked in on a sale with the bed frame costing $300.00. She said we were lucky that was the only time of year this was offered . We tried the beds and decided to try one of the mattresses. The sales or Erwin let us know that we had 100 days to decide if we were satisfied. She did say that we would not be able to return the bed frame but after talking with her and it only being $300.000 and is needing a new bed frame wE decided we would be okay with that. The frame e would fit any mattress. Then everything went downhill. The mattress ended up not working for us. We needed to return it. I went to inquire about the payofff total I was told over $1000.00! WHAT! So my husband calls this has to be some kind of mistake. Our receipt didn't itemize the mattress Ann's the frame. The sales rep assured us that the sale or rice and mattress made up the price. My husband and repeated several times it's $300.00 on sale and she never corRected us. After a long time talking to a sleep number supervisor we were told that no we were never told is was $300.00 the frame is $1000.00 and there is nothing that they could do about it. WHO IN THE WORLD WOULD AGREE TO PAY $1000.00 FOR A BASIC BED FRAME ARE THEY INSANE!!!!!!!! And for the sales person never to correct us and say no it's only $300 off the frame is $1000. I feel scammed and cheated! I will never recommend this company to anyone. Shame on you and covering up the true cost of the frame by stating it's part of the mattress price. This review is specifically for the delivery department. Devanie the salesperson gets 5 stars. First off, a 4 hour delivery window in today's busy society is less than inconvenient. I asked for a morning delivery time at the store, and she put it in the notes. I called a few days prior to the delivery (delivery is scheduled for 9/23/17) to remind them that we needed a morning window. I was told that a technician would be calling 1-2 days prior with our delivery time. No phone call as of the afternoon of the 22nd, so I call the 800 number again only to be told that I have a delivery window of 1-4pm. I was told that since I called in with less than 24hours of delivery that nothing could be done. I'm livid at this point. I called on the 20th. I didn't mind waiting 2 weeks for the bed to be delivered because I understand that they build each bed as ordered, but when you spend $5000 on a bed, you'd think they would be a little more accommodating with the delivery schedule. The last bed I purchased was a Tempurpedic and it was delivered the next day with a set appointment. I sure hope this mattress is worth the headache. Update: The bed was delivered and the delivery team was great! Here are my new issues. I was told by the salesperson that our old bed could be moved to a different room. I was informed by the delivery team that they could not move the base, which is a heavy tempurpedic ergo base and I had no one to help me move it. After we solved that issue, I found out that legs do not come with the Sleep Number beds, which I was not informed of at the store. I called right away and talked to Steven at the store (he was great by the way). He was very helpful and said a manager would be calling me that day (Saturday) or on Monday at the latest to resolve my issue. Come Wednesday, I still had not received a call. I called the store and got Steven again. He was very apologetic and said he would have our salesperson call when she got in at 1:00. 7:00 rolls around and still no call. I call the store again to get the voicemail. Here it is after 10:00am the next day and still no call. I am not impressed with Sleep Number's customer service. It really makes me want to return the bed and never deal with this company again! read more

Update: Alex from corporate called and resolved the issue and send us brand new sheets! Thank you Alex for your great customer service! We really appreciate you. My husband and I purchased our new mattress before we got married from here! The service we received when we came in and purchased the mattress was great, we loved it so much that we even referred our parents and made them purchase a new mattress as well! And sleep number is not cheap either, therefore we invested a lot of money. We were told by the sales representative Kirk that we would be eligible to redeem some reward points as we referred our parents. Couple months down the road when we go back in to purchase some new sheets with the rewards that we were given, we are told that there is no rewards on file! So this whole time we got told something but yet it was never honored! We spent over an hour in store trying to deal with this until we were told to contact customer service! Not only did they mess up the rewards they somehow also messed and linked our parents account to ours which shows one whole big purchase on one account with two different mattresses and even that they are now able to explain how it happened! We did contact corporate and spoke to Joe who was not sympathetic at all and clearly stated there is nothing they can do about it ! Like NOTHING!!! They really don't care about their customers what so ever! Even tho they messed up big time they offered nothing and that we just have to deal with it! Such bad customer service be ware! From the get go the whole interaction with this company was not good. When we walked in we did not get greeted, no smilew, we were looked up and down with a unwelcome look from the manager. It took over 5 minutes for someone to come out and ask what we needed. And then he sent a sales guy to work with us. After spending a couple minutes trying to look and ask questions the manager calls the employee over and very loudly is telling him to hurry, and get done, that he needed to go to lunch. Well trust me we got the rushed experience. Didn't get to get all our questions answered and wasn't able to read through all that was being signed, was being cut off so the sales man could finish and leave. Sales man stated he took 100 off, he never did. As soon as we swiped and paid for the matress, then the manager comes over with a smile and butts into our conversation. Well a survey was sent out and I relayed that awful experience. Several days later I received a call from that manager, stating I'm sorry we were busy, we were in a hurry to get to lunch. I explained to her no that wasn't the issue. The issue was is you looked at us as if we didn't have money and you ignored us. As soon as we paid you became friendly.. and her response as a manager was sorry I don't know what you expect me to say.Unprofessional by far!! I explained to her I don't need to dress as if I'm going to my office or my husband is going to his job and look professional to buy a matress, I don't need to show you I have money. Fast forward, we get are matress and it is literally just an air mattress for over $2k. I woke up several times with the air deflating and my head below my feet, the air was leaking out of it. On the third day with both my husband and I with severe back aches called sleep number and told them we want to return it. The man I spoke with said let us order all these parts. Components and separators to try to see if it fixes and a new pump. The pump we had was so noisy it woke me up several times through out the night. On day 4, I was hurting so bad, with arthritis in my back and hips it made it difficult to walk without a cane for several days. My husband said to return it. So I called to return it and well what they don't tell you with your 100 day trial they take a large chunk of your money for the return. Plus they pick up on their time. I called the 28th of November and my pick up is not until December 10th. So today I called to ask why was I still getting the equipment delivered after receiving a phone message and an email stating your delivery is on the 10th. When I called the rude employee named Sabrina had an attitude, continued to cut me off on every question I asked. She said you obviously want to vent because I called it an over priced air matress. But it's a pick up not a delivery, she snappily says it's all the same. Then I asked about the refund, she got snotty and said 7 to 10 business days ma'am. Really do your home work before buying a matress. We ordered a equally priced matress from another company and took that sleep number air matress and put it in our spare room until it gets picked up. I went in the other day to buy new pillows for my husband and I. Carlos was the employee who helped me, he was very nice and informative about the different products. He listened to my thoughts on what I wanted and made great suggestions on what to try. I got a pillow for my husband and myself and I got the body pillow. They are all very comfortable! I finally broke down and decided to get a new mattress as I have been having terrible low back pain. I had been shopping at various places and not finding exactly what I was looking for so I decided to try out Sleep Number. I went into the Elk Grove store and was not anticipating much and a young woman, named Jenna came over to help me. She was very professional and knowledgeable about all the types of sleep number beds that they had available. I was so impressed with the nonpressure selling and how comfortable she made me feel I purchased a I8 bed that day and bought the medium down pillows too! This is an update of my original 1 star review which was for the Elk Grove store and remains the same. This review is for the FANTASTIC service received by Vince and Brandon who delivered and set up our bed. We ended up ordering the bed online due to the lack of service received at EG store. Our bed was delivered within 2 weeks, we had a time frame of 9a-12p and I received a call this morning at 8:15a letting me know they were on their way. They were both extremely courteous, fast, careful, explained everything and out the door in about an hour. They took away the old king size bed without any hassle or deep sighs or rolling of the eyes! They confirmed my decision on the purchase of a Sleep Number bed. I will be telling all of my friends about Sleep Number however I still won't be recommending the EG store. (or go there during the week/off-peak time... seems like other reviews were during the week, not on weekends). read more

My wife and I went to the Elk Grove Store. We were greeted and then asked what type/style bed we were looking for. We were shown several beds after our sleep number was figured out. She did not pressure us in any way to buy any particular bed and we did take our time on the bed we wanted. We were very happy with our choice. The bed was delivered within ten days and the two men who set it up were very professional and did a great job. They did have to come back as the bed on wheels was too high for my wife and they were not given enough sliders to replace all the wheels. They ordered the extra parts and did return the following week to replace the wheels with sliders. My only concern is when I got the bill (we financed at 0%) that it showed "Over limit Amount", even though we had been approved for that amount and it show up on my credit report as a ding. I called the credit company and they could do nothing about that, but I could pay the over limit amount if I wanted to. I went to the store and told the sales person there what happen and she was not the one who sold us the bed and was not quite sure why this happened and she would let our sales person know and also the corporate office and have them give us a call back. They have never called..... The bed is great and we sleep so much better, but do be careful about financing a balance (which you almost have to, due to the price) and make sure you don't get your credit report dinged like we did. read more
