The location is a little bit odd as you have to drive behind a few businesses to reach the hotel , but it was less than an hour most directions from all of the things that I wanted to do and I believe based on the reviews I read that it was the best choice in the area for value and quality. I will admit I got off to a bit of a rocky start as I jumped in the shower right away to find that the shampoo bottle was completely empty. Nobody likes getting out of the shower midway to try and find their travel shampoo. I was also frustrated that there was only a tiny travel size body wash offered for my entire stay and a half roll of toilet paper. However afterwards, when I asked for more shampoo and body wash, the staff was helpful and prompt. As a matter of fact, all the stuff was very nice in every interaction I had at this location. The room itself was very clean and comfortable and had everything that I needed. There were four large incredibly fluffy pillows on each bed and the high ceilings made the room feel very large. I was able to see my car from my room. The Wi-Fi connection is very good and very fast. The refrigerator worked well and kept everything nice and cold. The heating and air conditioning unit did make a bit of an annoying noise when it was running, but it was efficient and I just made sure to turn it off before I went to sleep so that the noise didn't bother me. The hotel is pet friendly and we paid $50 for our 4-day stay to have our dog with us, which comes out to $12.50 a day and I think that's more than reasonable. They also have a small pet relief area just across the parking lot. They offer breakfast as well, which I only went to one morning, but it was very nice. They had biscuits and gravy, bacon, eggs, and assortment of cereals, pastries and fresh fruit. So, if the breakfast is important to you, you definitely get a good variety and a good value here. They also have a fitness room, but there is no pool. Overall, this was a great stay and definitely worth a little bit of an extra drive each day. I would absolutely recommend this hotel if you are looking for a good quality hotel in the area.

They are a little pricy compared to the other hotels in the area but the bed makes it worth the extra few dollars I spend. Breakfast is nice and the staff have always been friendly. The older women on the cleaning staff with the horn rimmed glasses seem to give me a West Virginia feel that maybe seems dated but who cares.

But sometimes I arrive very late and cannot drive without a rest period.

Floors are sticky and carpets stained. There were just basic things like pieces of plastic and receipts still on the floors, dead bugs someone else smashed hanging from walls, and hairs stuck to sheets and wash cloths. Just deep clean this place and you have a charming little inn. But right now it's not so charming.

This is hands down the worst place I have ever stayed in my life. We staying in a room that was supposed to be nonsmoking and as soon as I walk in the first thing that I noticed was the smell and that there was an ashtray sitting on the table in the middle of the room. The lights for the room did not work so we had to use our phones to see in the dark. The bed sheets smelled dirty, there is no way that they washed anything beforehand and this is during COVID when every other business is taking extra steps to be more clean.. Not even sure how I slept at all here to be honest. Everything in the bathroom seems that it had not been replaced in at least 50 years... Its not worth it to stay here, go anywhere else.

Then this guy comes in all tricked out with piercings and tattooed listening to an INFOMERCIAL on his smart phone, so loudly that it's matching the damn television. Then a couple comes in trying to talk to each other over the droning noise of the damn INFOMERCIAL and Church Service that I could feel my temp rising and I was being thrown into a panic anxiety attack....I was about to scream. I suffer from them and have PTSD, things trigger my outburst and this was growing into one quickly so I had to leave my food or explode... Uncalled for and she slept through all that!!!!!

I'll preface that I have status with both IHG and Hilton, so I am starting on an equal playing field on that matter. - HI breakfast is much better (biscuits and gravy make this a solid winner) - Both have evening cookies, HI had more - HI has a coffee machine available 24/7 - Neither has good entertainment options (no Netflix or streaming on the TVs) - Both breakfasts start at 6, but HI had breakfast out and ready at 5:40 (I wasn't up this early at Hampton, so can't compare). - Parking seemed to fill up faster and be a bit more challenging at HI

The supplied soap, lotion and shampoo are in pump bottles, and they all worked fine. The breakfast is typical with cereals, oatmeal, pancakes, sweet buns, breads, eggs, breakfast meat and other items. All the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful. The beds are a little squishy for us, and the internet could be faster. It is quiet for the most part. We did have a heavy walker one night on the floor above us. The desk chair in our room relaxed back a bit too far and could use replacing. We did find a gummy on the floor in the bathroom so maybe a little more attention to detail when cleaning. We would stay again. Great Thai place nearby called Thai Valley Kitchen that is excellent.
