We booked a 2 queen room for just the 2 of us as it was lower rate than a king bed room. (Why?) Bed was a little firmer than I like but overall the room was comfortable and quiet. Bathroom had Dove products, enough towels and really good water pressure. There was a fridge, microwave and a Keurig coffee maker with pods. There were enough ports to connect and charge our devices. I have vision problems and I really appreciate that this hotel has nice wide hallways that are well-lit with no dark corners. Breakfast had a good selection of hot and cold food, coffee and tea, fruit and pastries. There's also a small area across from reception desk where you can buy snacks, essentials like toothpaste and microwaveable food. The only thing missing was beer and wine. The hotel does not have a license to sell alcohol but the Marriott next door (short walk) has a full bar. The hotel has recently gone thru a complete renovation and everything looks and feels upgraded. Every staff member we interacted with (front desk, housekeeping, breakfast staff) were professional, helpful and well trained in hospitality. We'd gladly stay here again when in the Raleigh area.

The front desk said housekeeper DIDN'T touch our bed, which was clearly a lie because a towel which I put on bed last night to prevent menstrual blood on the sheets was also gone. Me and my family visited Benson over the 4th of July holiday to celebrate our Family Reunion. This Holiday Inn was such a pleasant surprise. When you walk in, you are greeted by friendly staff and a clean establishment. There are free toys for children, coupon and discount pamphlets for the area, a bowl for entrepreneurs to place their business cards to win gift cards and more! There is complimentary fresh fruit on the tables.. it is SO welcoming. This place is 10/10 for the Southern Hospitality. I stayed in a 2 queen suite which was clean, pretty, modernly decorated and came with dove toiletries. There is a NICE fire pit out back, a huge new grill and plenty of comfy seating. There is also a pool and free WiFi and access to a computer which helped my family prepare for the games for the reunion. Breakfast in the mornings was from 6-10 and EVERYTHING was a treat!
