Do not pick this hotel if you want a nice night away booked the jacuzzi suite upon arrival in the room noticed the wallpaper was stapled together at the seems the sink stop was just sitting in the sink as well as the jacuzzi tub drain stopper was broke and laying in the tub when we told the front desk they said there was nothing they could do and the g.m said it wasn't in there policy for the jacuzzi to hold water do not waste your money with this terrible location no refund no rebate no nothing

Left over food from last patron .

$100 hotel that was worth about $65 . Carpet was dirty . I opened the fridge and there was already McDonald's food inside of it .. Lady at the desk wouldn't budge on the rate . The lights above the beds looked liked a $20 poor installation job. Breakfast was alright. Stayed here a few years ago for $75 a night and it was clean and new. Waste of my hard earned money.

    Bathroom without tub.

Hotel is kind of secluded and near a Meijer store. The outside looks good but the interior appeared very dated. No hot breakfast; but muffins, sausage croissant, juice and other drinks were available.

Was just recently renovated! Very nice for $65 and BUG FREE!! Breakfast had a pretty nice selection. Eggs, sausage, 2 types of waffles and more. My only complaint is that the pool was a little cold.

    Yellow stain all around toilet.

Very happy with our room and cleanliness of the room and hotel overall…read more However, I was very disappointed with the breakfast. There were no healthy or fresh options at all- very sugar laden and *highly* processed food. Also, there were no non-pork options (they had sausage gravy and Canadian bacon). Would have loved to see some healthier and fresh options. It was one of the most disappointing Marriott breakfasts I've seen.

Kind staff and a decent bathroom are the only praises I can give this place. An additional down…read morepayment on the room that was not listed on their website soured the experience before we even got in the room. When we did get there, it became apparent it was not like the pictures. The room is much smaller in real life, so props to their photographer for expert use of focal length and framing. Ground floor particularly isn't pleasant, the curtains are hardly thick enough to feel like you have privacy. The pool was dirty when we got there. Shallower than I expected, though here I will credit them--if you look at the pictures you can clearly see it's marked as 3' deep. You're not exactly getting to go for a swim so much as soak yourself. Breakfast can be technically called edible--every juice was watery, eggs were rubbery, and nothing here was what I'd call "good." I'm not expecting fine dining when I go to a hotel, but having to throw away my and my wife's plate because of how unpleasant it was, well, that's pretty damning. Woke up with a stiff neck and a sore back, so I can't even take joy in being unconscious and forgetting for 8 hours where I am. Employees are nothing but kind, manager was a bit of a dismissive jerk. The toilet is the perfect height. Yes, the best part of this experience is taking a dump--what a hotel! The idea that this is worth $151 a night ($177 with taxes (and the rates aren't cheaper for booking further out!)) is absurd. The one amenity worth anything is the "privilege" of cooking your own food, but the idea that this somehow elevates it over the Hampton right next door or any other nearby hotel reads to me as people on here coping with how much they spent on this garbage with "well at least I can do my cooking here"--as a big believer in the joy of a homemade meal, are we really deciding we need to spend almost (and perhaps more than) $200 to go out and do the same thing we could've done at home? Dear god, if you're traveling, ask to stay with a friend, find a cheap AirBNB, and cook there! Be honest with yourself--you're at a hotel. You're going to walk down the street to one of the fast food or late night places, maybe you're going to doordash something, because you didn't come to a hotel to do anything for yourself, you left to luxuriate in the bliss of dirtying a room you don't have to clean. Honestly I think they only let you cook so when you throw away the complimentary breakfast you can go and buy some eggs and make something yourself and get tricked into thinking they're still "providing" you a service. Don't kid yourself. Don't stay here unless you're desperate.

The beds were super comfortable (you get to choose between a "firm" pillow and a "soft" pillow!) and the shower was nice and spacious, and the 4th person to shower that night still had hot water. The wi-fi signal was good and we appreciated how many outlets there were for us to charge all our electronics. The free breakfast was pretty good as far as hotel breakfasts go - I just had a bagel but my friends said the waffles were amazing. Even though we were sort of crazy-looking in our costumes all the staff members were very kind to us - they all seemed to know about the convention and they didn't think we were freaks or anything (I wish I could say the same about the guests at the state park.....but that's a different review!). All in all we had a great time. If Midoricon comes back to Maumee next year we will definitely be booking with this hotel again!

I like that they are dog friendly (although it is +$25 per night). There is easy grass area around the parking lot to walk my dog. Several nearbyy places to eat. My rooms with 2 queen beds also had a microwave & fridge, side chair, dining table with 2 chairs, and desk with a chair, $95 after all the taxes (+ dog fee). In the morning, they had coffee/tea, cereal, scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, and fruits. I had interactions with check in, check out, and housecleaning staff, and all were very nice. #ReviewsByRL

The Innkeeper, Tim, was very friendly and extremely knowledgable about the house, its restoration, and everything in-between. From its 13'7" ceilings to the giant 12' high doors to the hardwood floors it literally felt like stepping back in time. Most of the house had been renovated with a beautiful blend of new and old, giving it a neuveux riche feel. We stayed in the Grand Suite, which was larger than nearly any hotel suite we've ever been in. It had a comfy king size bed, a giant armoire, a small couch and a small table for intimate dining in your room. The attached bathroom was equally as impressive with a giant 6 foot tub and a large walk in shower with two shower heads. We had the house to ourselves and were made to feel at home by the Innkeeper Tim. He made us breakfast in the morning in the kitchen, which was newly renovated with beautiful stainless steel appliances and marble counter tops. Tim made us more food than we could eat (a four course breakfast!) and just put the cherry on the top of our visit. We can't wait to visit again. This hidden gem is a must visit if you're in the Toledo, Ohio area!

While the food, furnishings, and architecture were top notch, a few fundamental items of a hotel/B&B were quite poor: the staff, the heating, and the water pressure. First, the staff gave me an eerie, unpleasant feeling, overall. For example, I was pressured to leave the house while I was waiting for my ride, after I had checked out. I was just in the lobby for about 15 min. Next, during my stay in mid-December, the rooms were cold and the two electric heaters in the room, supplementing the radiators, did not do the trick. Finally, the water pressure in the shower was among the lowest I have ever experienced, ever. If you have ever seen that Seinfeld episode, it was like that. Thus, two stars.
