New "Designed to Dream" style Sleep Inn & Suites opened in Oct 2010. New and clean. Sets up on a hill to itself. No eateries within walking distance, but plenty a short drive down the hill. The staff is very friendly and eager to please.

View from our room. Third floor.

Great hotel. The staff was amazing. I deducted a star because the heating system was LOUD. Like hilariously yet scary loud. Sounded like a mix between a jack hammer and a souped up muscle car's engine. It was so loud I laughed in disbelief. It did warm the room and we only need to turn it on once so it wasnt a big deal for us. They have quiet hours starting at 10 which was great because we really needed rest that night. The room was clean, the rollaway bed we needed was perfect, and the view from the room.was beautiful. The breakfast was just enough for us...eggs, sausage, cereal, waffles, coffee and more along with very nice staff. Oh...they had warm cookies in the lobby and fruit infused water. Two nice homey touches. Despite the loud heating system, we would stay again. The staff, amenities, and comfortable room made it a great stay.

What I made myself for breakfast - YUM!

One of the cleanest hotels I've stayed in. Breakfast was really good. Definitely stay again.

On a vacation to the Cumberland Gap National Park we decided to book a hotel for the night via…read moreExpedia. "Days Inn" sounded classy and it was the only hotel within 50 miles which would accept my furry travel companion. On arrival, late Friday night, we found a hotel with only a "Days Inn" tarp thrown over the old hotel's road sign. Thats where the similarities to a "Days Inn" ended and the similarities to the Bates motel began. This place was sketchy... like, you wouldn't want your worst enemy from middle-school to stay there... even the one who called you fat. But, tired and overwhelmed by a long drive, we checked-in. Dun dun dun... My favorite of our experiences was the astonishingly loud bathroom fan switch which must have been connected to a jet engine... or the lack of a bed skirt over the incredibly stained box springs... or the overpowering cloud of smoke that knocked us over as we walked into the non-smoking room... or the apparent dried sausage on the carpet in the corner of the room... I really hope it was sausage. *They did have a free continental breakfast... However, sausage was NOT on the menu?! I really really hope it was sausage. Please don't stay here.

This hotel should be condemned, torn down and should not be allowed to have guests. The wall had a huge hole in it that they attempted to patch. The bathroom smelled like mildew. The shower curtain had mold on it. The outlets were coming out of the walls. I was afraid to walk barefoot on the carpet. The pool was disgusting. Clumps of long hair floating in the water. Don't even want to give this place 1 star. There needs to be a negative star rating cause this place would get -10!!!

Our room (17) was newly (and completely) renovated, top to bottom. All new bath. Some weird things: big room with minimal furniture. Light switch for bathroom is across the room (like not in the bathroom at all) with a group of 5-6 switches for almost everything else in the unit EXCEPT the one blinding light above the refrigerator. The headboard for the king bed is for a Full bed, which seems to be so you can reach those 5-6 switches, and the one side of the bed is about 18" from the huge windows. Kind of gross having to rub against those old curtains when you get up, knowing that tons of other people have had to rub against them, too. Move the bed across the room to where the TV is. Only other issue is the bath towels which seem to be cheap, worn out, and are very very rough, too the point of being almost painful.

The window was blocked off by plexiglass and the small bathroom window was only one you could open so you had no cross ventilation. The beds felt like a rock with a blanket on it. The tub had no non slip strips in it and there is no grab bars. Bring your own towels cause the ones they give you are thin, small and rough also bring your own soup, shampoo and conditioner. They have packets of colored water to give you. Oh ..hope you don't have a low hanging car, cause there's a slope that will tear up your car if you do. And pool?? Forget it. Its a drowning waiting to happen. Don't expect much help from the front desk, they will give you a card and tell you to call a number and when you call the number the person will sound a LOT like the desk clerk of the inn. Stay away!!!! When I told them of the mold, they said they didn't know and it had been recently redone.
