It did seem quite dated (ie 90s era brass, carpet, old phone, etc.) with the interior finish. That's probably the biggest issue here. But, it seemed very clean (perfect health score) and is still nice. The only thing that would improve the hotel is to update the interior finish in the rooms. Otherwise, it's good and you'll be comfortable here. I really liked that they give you a $8 voucher for the nearby coffee shop. That's a nice perk since the coffee is better than what you'd find in a regular hotel. Also, they have 3 free Tesla chargers. That's a big benefit if you have a Tesla and want to charge on the road. Overall: Great hotel with a lot of charm. Worth a stay.

Went out and came back later with family. We all came to my room. The room had been supposedly be cleaned. Immediately saw the sheets were not changed even though the bed was made. I was offered the opportunity to come and get new linens and stuff to do changing and cleaning myself. The next morning I called the front desk and ask for late checkout. I at the time was a gold member but Diamond now. As a perk late checkout is allowed. At 11AM a knock on the door and I told I was late checkout. At 11:25AM was told either I vacate the room by 12:00 or I will be charged for another night. Unreal, I filed a complaint with Hilton and so far received no nothing. I advise avoid this place if you expect quality services and respect.

The issue though was that the elevator was out of use (ended up finding out it was caused by a bad capacitor caused by a lightning strike, a maintenance individual coming in to replace it and not doing it, and then an emergency switch catastrophic failure), but this was disclosed as I was making my reservation on the phone. From my last review, one item I never elaborated on was the cable. Yes, this hotel does have History, Discovery, and Travel channels. I went down to find either country fried steak or a chicken patty along with sausage patties and hash browns in the breakfast area. Whatever it was, it was so good (the meat inside was white, so probably chicken). This is definitely a nice change from just having sausage or bacon like at other hotels I have stayed at. By introducing a meat with breading, it is further enhanced by the sausage gravy that this hotel serves for its biscuits and gravy! One could even make waffles and you get? Chicken and waffles! Suggestion: If the owner of this hotel reads this review, consider putting out cold cut salami or ham slices and a cheese plate. Complimentary parking in spacious outdoor, uncovered lot. Good shower pressure. Well maintained, clean. We saw someone picking up trash outside. We went to check in and purchased some souvenirs that were a bit on the pricey side. An older gentleman who was nice walked us to our hot springs which was just a secluded hot tub near a free-flowing body of water. The hot tub temperatures were warm and not skin-burning hot, but it was perfect since it eased my tense and painful muscles that I had been temporarily suffering since the beginning of the week. I can't say if the water was real mineral water or not. I just wasn't expecting the hot springs to be a hot tub with jets. My expectations were much higher, as I had imagined like the ones in Colorado. I was hoping to nestle my body against some geological formations as I was engulfed in peace and relaxation.

Comfort - 3 out of 5 - about what you would expect from a hotel bed and pillows. The room I stayed in this time (415) was rather large which was nice. Room amenities - 4 out of 5 - basic amenities such as microwave, fridge, coffee, and basic toiletries. What I really liked was the number of outlets. A total of about 10 in the room and 2 on each side of the bed. Also had basic USB in at least 3 of them (no USB-C). Though I didn't use either, they do have a pool and gym. Service - 3 out of 5 - everyone that I came into contact with was friendly, but then again I didn't come into contact with many people. Food - 3 out of 5 - basic breakfast food, nothing flashy. Always have hot options as well as cereal, yogurt, fruit. They switch up the hot options for those staying longer than a night. If visiting Kingsport, I highly recommend staying at this hotel.
