    Presidential Suite

Beautiful place! The nicest staff! We came down to get married in Afton, TN. The Inn was very accommodating to my million questions throughout the entire process. We stayed in the corporate apartment preparing for the wedding. We stayed in the Presidential Suite the night of our wedding. The only thing I would change is staying another day after the wedding. It was not fun waking up early to have both places cleaned out by 11am, lol.

Beautiful, clean historic hotel located in President Andrew Johnson's hometown. It's located downtown and in walking distance of most of the historic sites ( Johnson's tailor shop, home, burial site-just a few of the sites nearby) The staff was very friendly and accommodating. And the grand entrance of the hotel is an absolutely stunning! Photos do not do it justice, you simply must see it in person. Rooms were very large and beds were extremely comfy. Nice little art gallery located inside. The coffee shop was great but it is small so you're probably better off taking it to go. Staff was great too. The front desk clerk let us know about tours of the Andrew Johnson site. We purchased our tickets ( only 5 bucks) and we greeted by our guide. Our guide was a local elderly man who, to our surprise, was a direct descendent of the Williams family from the historic mansion located behind the hotel. Very knowledgeable about the city and the sites. We enjoyed it. The only issues we had were a slight problem with our TV ( which Amy handled pronto) and the restaurant. I'd love to give a review of the restaurant but after sitting ten minutes and watching tables seated AFTER us being waited on, we got frustrated and went elsewhere. It was NOT busy. So disappointed because the place had great reviews. Menu not very kid friendly.Advice to staff: try to at least acknowledge that we're sitting there!

Overpriced but worth it if you've got the money. Nicest hotel in Greeneville. Plus, great architecture and history.

If you decide to eat at Brumley's (hotel restaurant) - I recommend not eating any type of seafood there.

I went down to counter and they told me just go to a different floor. I saw no vending machines in the building. I always rent a room where there is a swimming pool, but no pool. It was completely drained. There were people in the back of building where pool was playing in the dirt by the building. (Not exactly sure what they were doing) There was no cleaning of room - not even the trash. The shampoo and conditioner containers were completely empty. My daughter and I stayed there for 2 nights at a cost of $315. I would recommend staying anywhere but here. They really shouldn't advertise amenities they don't have.

Signed said call zero, but 15 minutes later someone finally showed up. The man finally checked me into room 220! I went to the room, the hallway was like 120 degrees and dirty!!! Found my room, the door was wide open!! The room looked used!!! I sent my son into the bathroom just to see if someone was there! No one was there!! The room was messy and I really think they rented me a USED room. I called front desk, NO ANSWER!! I was exhausted from traveling and my son was there to play ball for the Greeneville Flyboys No cold water, so our showering options was hot shower, extremely hot shower, or the Devils Shower...it was skin burning hot!! Had to keep turning it off, to continue showering. I turned AC to 65 but room never went below 73. The room was so horrible!!! Hot and dirty!! I told the desk clerk when I checked out, she said she would have someone contact me, but three days later....NOTHING!!! I would like compensated for this stay!! This was horrible!!

However, the pool is sorely lacking. If you're a larger person, the chairs aren't really stable enough. They're the cheap Dollar General chairs. I stacked two together and was able to balance myself fairly comfortably but there is no soaking up the sun. Also, there is only a ladder into the pool. They have a pool lift but who actually wants to use that. Having gradual stairs that someone who doesn't want to be in the water all the way or can't use the ladder would be more accessible for the disabled. I came back to edit my review. 2 stars. Cable doesn't work. The wifi is terrible. I'm better off using phone data. We asked about the cable and they blamed Comcast without even looking at the box.

Hotel review: 1/5…read more The line was out the door for check in. Though we had pre-booked our stay, it took about 30-40 minutes for us to get checked in. When we got to our room, there were no bath towels. We went back and asked for some, and they said they would bring them. We called the office about two and a half hours later, as they still hadn't brought them. The lady said she was cleaning the pool and would bring them afterward. She never did. When we got ready to go to bed, we realized that the second bed had no comforter. We went back to the office and no one was there, though the sign said that the check-in is monitored 24 hours a day.. We called and someone picked up and hung up. We called again and no one answered. So we had to sleep with just the sheet. We went back up again this morning to tell them we still had no towels or comforter. They gave us pool towels, as they were out of bath towels. They brought us the comforter an hour later. It was unwashed and had lipstick stains on it. We asked for a different one, which they said they would bring for our second night. Six hours later, we still haven't received it. The shower curtain has mildew stains on it, and the pull thing to start the shower is broken, so only a small trickle comes out of the shower head. The security door on the side of the building is propped open 24/7 and will not shut. Room 303 and the rest of the property really need some attention. The website said that they have a continental breakfast, but this morning the gal at the front desk said they do not serve breakfast. You should update your website to say no continental breakfast, and to say that your front desk is NOT monitored 24 hours a day, because no one was there from 9pm to 6 am. Also update it to say no wi-fi. We will NOT be staying in the Greeneville Econolodge next time we are in town.
