I would not stay in this hotel again. The elevator was scummy - looked like it hadn't been cleaned forever. The ice machine on the third floor did not work. I went down to counter and they told me just go to a different floor. I saw no vending machines in the building. I always rent a room where there is a swimming pool, but no pool. It was completely drained. There were people in the back of building where pool was playing in the dirt by the building. (Not exactly sure what they were doing) There was no cleaning of room - not even the trash. The shampoo and conditioner containers were completely empty. My daughter and I stayed there for 2 nights at a cost of $315. I would recommend staying anywhere but here. They really shouldn't advertise amenities they don't have. read more

THURSDAY, AUGUST 5TH, I checked into this very Low Quality Inn and paid $120. Stayed here and very very upset!! First I went to check in about 10:30pm and there was nobody at the desk. Signed said call zero,but 15 minutes later someone finally showed up. The man finally checked me into room 220! I went to the room, the hallway was like 120 degrees and dirty!!! Found my room, the door was wide open!! The room looked used!!! I sent my son into the bathroom just to see if someone was there! No one was there!! The room was messy and I really think they rented me a USED room. I called front desk, NO ANSWER!! I was exhausted from traveling and my son was there to play ball for the Greeneville Flyboys No cold water, so our showering options was hot shower, extremely hot shower, or the Devils Shower...it was skin burning hot!! Had to keep turning it off, to continue showering. I turned AC to 65 but room never went below 73. The room was so horrible!!! Hot and dirty!! I told the desk clerk when I checked out, she said she would have someone contact me, but three days later....NOTHING!!! I would like compensated for this stay!! This was horrible!! read more

Avoid if you can. Stayed 4 nights last week, upon check in we were told there is no maid service during stay. Ok, not a huge deal. During the stay, my husband developed bites on his arms and legs. Had a suicide in the family on the way down for our stay. Called to cancel the reservation and male clerk was a complete asshole and dick and should NOT be working in customer service. Absolutely no sympathy or compassion and refused to let us cancel any of our days, not even the ones that were after the 24 notice. Will NEVER use Quality inn again! I understand places have policies, but you'd can't cancel within 24hr when a suicide happens while you're in route on the day of arrival. Horror business and EXTREMELY HORRIBLE SERVICE. read more

I have to stay here for a work trip or else I would immediately leave. As soon as I walked in the room the stench of mold and mildew was so strong. Looks like they've repainted and torn out the carpet recently based on the older review pictures. So now there's a solid two inch gap between the floor and the bottom of the door. I can literally see into my neighbors room from my room and into the hallway. Carpet muffles noise... so now everything is echoing. I can hear my neighbors talking, flushing their toilet, watching tv etc as I'd they were in the same room as me. I hear every footstep above me. In terms of the name, don't let it fool you. It's a quality but not necessarily a good quality! This wasn't the worst experience I've ever had in a hotel, but I'd have to say this was not a good experience in any way! I have high expectations in terms of customer service and cleanliness. Almost anything else I can withstand. The lady at the front desk was extremely nice but clearly they were understaffed as she was struggling trying to juggle phone calls reservation issues hotel problems and everything else that goes along with working at the front desk. They definitely need more staff, especially during peak times. This property gets only an 84 on the health ratings but I would say the board of health is extremely generous. The property clearly has the fish and see some of cleanliness and conditioned make it very difficult to enjoy your stay. First off they were simple easy to clean items that were definitely not. The sheets were stained, the bathroom looks like it had been cleaned in a while, and the cleaning staff did a poor job and restocking soap, shampoo and towels. I had to take off the sheets and comforter off of my dad and threw them on the floor. The housekeeper didn't bother to put them back or even remove them. She did replace the towels but only replaced two of them. She also did not replace the bathmats, which were definitely needed. She did a very shabby job of making the other bed. There is mold in the showers, the commode is rusted out, the grout's disgusting and even the sink had issues. Water sprayed everywhere because the bottom piece was missing from the spout. The phone didn't work, so no wake up call is possible. The wi-fi and breakfast were ok. This was pretty much a fail and if my company weren't paying for this I would've demanded my money back. I expect more, even from Choice Hotels. Heck I expect more from hotels that charge by the hour and have heart shaped tubs, mirrors on the ceiling and meth dealers in the parking lot! read more

The worst hotel we have visited on our trip across country. It is OLD and paint is peeling off everything. The breakfast was poor quality, we had to eat out instead. I say zero stars, but there's not that option. Where do I start? Umm. Gross. The whole hotel smells of cigarette smoke. The employees stand outside the door chain smoking. People (friends/family of employees?)who are NOT paying guests hang out in the back and at the pool. Some sitting in their cars all day with doors open and big rigs in and out. Sketchy stuff going on. Our room was nasty. We booked for 3 nights months ago for a wedding, and felt we had to just ride it out because there was no refunds. Smells, stains, old towels, small square pillows on a king bed, nasty hot breakfast. I ate bagels for 3 mornings out of convenience to get to our activities. The waffles were fine, probably only because you make them yourself, fresh. The toilet was gross, loud and you had to hold the handle down a good 7 seconds. The shower, the pipes rattled a very loud noise. A yapping dog across the hall the last night. What looks to be illegal rolled substance right in front walk way. This place is a hot mess. To stay here for $250 for 3 nights, is a great deal, IF it's decent. IT'S NOT. Honestly, I thought it was that inexpensive because we were going to the small town of Greenville, TN., not because it was a crap hotel. I have learned my lesson! I will end this review to say the staff was friendly. We didn't ask for anything, but it was the first place I ever stayed where I didn't want anyone in the room. Do not stay here. First, you can't charge anything to your room. You have to have cash to buy a water bottle. The ice machines are our of order on every floor. When getting into my room for the first time, it was muggy and hot. Once I turned the air conditioning on, it took almost an hour for the room to cool down. The toilets are not nice. What a HORRID experience! Arrived and checked in. The room they put us in hadn't been cleaned at all. The bed wasn't made, there was gum on the sheets, no garbage bags, melted ice in the ice bucket, no towels and wash rags. Asked for another room and they put us on the 3rd floor...which apparently is a smoking floor. The sheets had burn holes in them, the whole floor REEKED of smoke and weed and the AC in the room didn't work right. The towels were filthy. We had 3 other rooms since it was a group there for a funeral. One of the rooms was fine except the AC didn't work right. One other was okay but not very clean. The final room was full of bugs, so he asked to change rooms. The next room hadn't been cleaned and there was blood all over the sheets. He went next door to the Hampton and they said they had 6 other parties come from QI that same evening. Will NEVER stay there again. read more

This was the worst hotel experience I have had. I got to the hotel and stood at the front desk for a while. I had to actually call the hotel to see if someone could come to the front desk to check us in. Then, we get to our floor and there were water buckets all over catching water from the ceiling. Once we were in our room it looked decent and clean. We had the people next to us attempt to come in our room 2 or 3 times via the door that separated our rooms. They kept banging and making noises all night. The room above us sounded like they were hammering on the floor all night. I attempted to workout at the exercise facility (which is outside, across the back parking lot and behind the dark, green algae pool). However, all of the pieces of equipment were broke and non-functional. When I went to the "continental breakfast" the burners were not keeping the food warm. The eggs and sausage were cold. Decided to try the oatmeal and it came out of the packet clumpy (probably expired but could not find an expiration date). Thought I would try it anyway. Went to the water cooler, where they said the hot water was located, and the hot water tap was broke. I will NEVER stay here ever again. read more

When I complained they moved me to another "better room" where there no roaches. If possible this room was more out of date with a mattress from the 80s hard as a rock with no matteress cover gross. This, in comparison to every other hotel in greeneville, may be a decent stay, but it is by far above average. The beds are about to fall apart. The shower pipes rattle, causing the shower head to pulse. (I tried changing the settings on the shower head, that did nothing). The curtain rails looked liked someone with NO experience put that rail up. Shower overall was dirty. And some towel still had dirty stains. The walls are paper thin and consider keeping your nice shirts in your bag; there is a 1 1/2 foot space to hang your clothes. Above all, this place is infested with these small bugs that look similar to nat. You try killing them abd they just come back. A new batch. As far as the pros, they have an updated tv and good desk Space. Staff is also very courteous. Next time, I will not consider staying here. read more

This was definitely an experience to be remembered and not a good one. Booked it online and didn't realize there was still smoking rooms to be rented. Went to our room and it smelled so bad of smoke it made you sick. When I went down to the desk about it the clerk decided he wanted to be less than helpful and make smart remarks about it. Told him if it was an issue I could go somewhere else. He changed our room from a king to 2 double beds that couldn't be any harder if it was cement. He also assured us how breakfast was the best he's seen at a hotel. Guess he don't get out much! Water in the egg pan sausage ok but little dried out. Sausage and gravy was good coffee fair. I've had worst but it's been a long time ago. One good point was the lady that checked us out was very busy but very nice and friendly probably the only bright spot this place has. NOT PET-FRIENDLY! This was the worst hotel experience we have ever had. We paid $120 for a horrible room and then had to pay a pet fee for each pet. And they were not friendly about asking, the owner and the workers HATE animals. The clerk at the front ran from my 10 pound Bichon screaming I HATE DOGS, and I am not exaggerating in the slightest. The owner followed us around while we walked our dogs outside, he was frowning and acted as if we were doing harm to him and his property. So after paying $40 for a pet fee we went to our room to find our carpet was stained and disgusting. Our dogs are extremely well behaved and non-shedding dogs. We pad $160 for the dirtiest room we've ever stayed in and felt extreme hostility. I would rather sleep in my car than stay here again. read more

We had a two nite reservation. We arrive after a day long drive. We get there at about 7 or 730pm. We find out THEN, they cancelled our reservation! They had a water pipe break TWO DAYS ago..and the 3rd floor is still wet. So that was 3 days altogether. And NO call from them, no email, text, etc. What the heck! We got sorry..and handed a piece of paper with other Choice hotels on it. This is horrible, and I WILL NOT stay at another one after this incident. We stayed at the Hampton Inn and the Quality Inn. The Hampton was $169 and the Quality Inn was $89. Same type of room but the service was outstanding at the Quality Inn. I'm picky about hotels and I highly recommend this Quality Inn, if you're staying in Greeneville TN. The Hampton is way overrated. read more

I honestly wish I could give this place a negative score. The fitness room had 4 machines that were dirty and the room was full of mold, roaches and had a musky smell. The pool was small and unkept. Our shower bottom was black. The shower curtain had mold on it and was not clean. The towels had left over hair from past guest. The wash cloths were stained. This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The 1st room, #120, they had reserved for me, smelled so badly, like vomit, a dirty wet dog, musty mold, all in one small area. My daughter had reserved me a room there at my request and she and her sons, who were staying next door at the Hampton with the boys' baseball team, walked in with me just to make sure all was well. As soon as we walked into the hotel, there was a weird smell, but when we went in the room, it was gag inducing. We all left very quickly. My daughter asked if there was another room available. Rm108 was next. It smelled of chemical fresheners/deodorizers, so strongly you have no doubt they were used to try to cover up smells like were present in 108. I didn't want my daughter worried and wanted them to go out and enjoy themselves with the boys' ball team dinner so I said it would be fine. There were levels of disrepair and things which needed attention. The ceiling in one corner of the bathroom was cracking with paint chipped. The faucet had a thin stream of continuously running water, with a sign above it (placed by the hotel) to conserve water. The light above the full length mirror did not work. There was something grossly sticky on the lamp switch and I had to clean it off before turning the lamp on. The rubber piece at the bottom of the bathroom door had a crack in it which did almost cause a tumble. The gal who was at the front desk a little after 6 when I went to "breakfast" said due to Covid they didn't have much. How convenient to not serve your guests a decent meal. It was ridiculous what was provided, while next door at the Hampton, my daughter and grandson's were eating biscuits, waffles, cereals and milk, etc. I had to check out earlier than I had planned just to go get a decent breakfast. Then, when I did go to leave, there was no one to be found. I waited for a few minutes, went ahead and took my bags to the car, came back in, waited a little longer and still no one around. There was a phone to call for help. I picked it up and dialed and a man with a foreign sounding voice answered. I told him I was needing to check out and he told me if there was nothing I needed just to leave the key at the desk. I did and walked out. The stay was during the first week of June. The pool was too dirty to swim in. The breakfast on our first morning was really bad. This may have been due to an employee not being trained on how to prepare the breakfast items. The second day, coffee was not left in the room to use in the brewer. The third day, no one cleaned the room. No towels and still no coffee. The hotel is not very old but is looking rough in places. The carpet has many stains and the place just looks like it needs a remodel. The price was reasonable at 90 a night and may be it is get what you pay for. Next time I will pay a little more and stay at a nicer place. read more

Nice hotel, one of the two newer ones in Greeneville. The other is Hampton Inn which is directly in front of this hotel. The room was large and clean. I liked that the sink/vanity area was outside of the toilet/shower in our room because it's easier to get ready when sharing the room with others. I was worried walking in the hall to our room with the smoke smell. We passed a bunch of rooms with "no smoking" signs outside their doors but the smell was still in the air. When I got to my room it may have been considered a smoking room (no sign outside of door) but as soon as I stepped inside, I no longer noticed the smell thank goodness. I felt this hotel was quiet, I didn't hear street noise, cars or neighbors. I heard the kids in the pool at Hampton Inn when pulling in, I can't remember if Quality Inn had a pool but I'm glad it was a quieter stay. The hot breakfast was a good idea in theory. The eggs were ok, not fantastic which I wouldn't expect mass cooked (and perhaps powder?) eggs to be. There were two Belgian waffle makers, which was popular with most guests. The picture had a Belgian Waffles and bacon but of course, no bacon. The breakfast meat at least the morning I stayed was sausage. There was also biscuits and gravy. I would stay here again. I might skip the breakfast next time, just depends. read more

We went to Greeneville in early June to pick up a puppy from a nearby breeder. We brought our two Shelties. The staff was amazing! Our room, while not huge, was absolutely immaculate and absolutely quiet. The serve-yourself breakfast in the lobby the next morning was delicious...biscuits and sausage gravy, scrambled eggs, sausage rolls, all sorts of cereals, bagels, toast, make-your-own waffles with fruit toppings, juices, etc., etc., etc. All of the staff greeted us when we returned with our puppy, almost as happy as we were. In addition, right in front of the hotel is a great local restaurant, Fatz. We plan to return as the little city and the hotel were very inviting. read more
