The grief and depression was hitting heavy. My mom's death was so sudden & unexpected. She died two days before my birthday. When I first met Judy I never thought I was going to be able to ever attempt anything in my mom's room. It was a hurricane of mess, grief and sadness. I couldn't go in there without crying in the beginning. Laundry was piling up to the ceiling. My mom folded all my clothes for me even at my age. Her closest friend left me hanging after she died and stopped coming over to check on me and help with my laundry. One day, I got so overwhelmed and tired of seeing the pile of clothes I went on FB {within a local group I'm part of} and originally asked for laundry recommendations. Someone who could just come 1-2x a week and fold my clothes nothing else. It was really tedious trying to find someone, I was losing patience and hope. Finally a good human being recommended Judy. I immediately sent her a FB message and that was the beginning of my new start and an wonderful friendship with Judy. She scheduled me timely for a consultation (this was back in December 2025, and yes I'm still working with her to this day) Letting someone in your house is a BIG DEAL! Especially when your in a fragile state of mind and going through something traumatic in your life. Judy was so reassuring, calming, empathetic and genuinely felt my pain. She knew my mom's room was going to be a huge challenge. I can honestly say in 7.5 months of working with her we have made so much progress. It's definitely not easy going through your loved one's belongings especially when they passed suddenly.
