Raleighs rentals were extremely prompt to reply to an email and extremely helpful. We needed to return our rentals on sunday morning and they were more than willing to accommodate us. They literally do run this business out of their living room but dont let that deter you. They are extremely knowledgeable and have quality equipment. Plus u cant beat the price. They truely only care about getting people to enjoy the mountains and not turning a profit. Great people and great experience. You wont be disappointed.

Whenever we visit Idaho Falls we always check out Idaho Mountain Trading - love a good local gear…read moreshop! They have it all, from snowboarding, skiing, rock climbing, longboarding, camping, attire, bags, shoes and everything in between. They have a solid sale section as well and clothing for women, men and children. As most gear shops, the prices reflect quality and lean towards the moderate to expensive side, but that's less IMT and more the general gear, but again solid sale sections and not above normal market cost. Though we have a pretty solid collection of gear we have accumulated over the years, we will get a few small items when we visit, as we always seem to find some cool pieces, including my favorite fleece coal baseball cap! The team is always friendly and offers assistance and greeting upon entering. Will continue to enjoy out periodic visits!

I moved the toe cap one hole over to get through the day but climbed into this shop to buy a replacement since I had such a good experience last time around. And guess what? They're still awesome. Cody replaced my strap and noticed my binding placements were unbalanced and had a few suggestions. After having me step in to them to take a look, he centered my bindings. All this for a $5 part. They clearly care about snowboarding and want people to have a good time on the mountain. My sister was looking to demo the Burton step on bindings and he talked us through it too. I think we'll hold off on those but because of his obvious enthusiasm we chatted further and got recommendations for new boards. We'll definitely be back!

Alta, Wy. We came here in the summer for the Bluegrass…read morefestival put on by the resort. Unfortunately the experience was muddled by the smoke from the fires all the way in Spokane. The promoters were not to be deterred, thankfully, as I spent a lot of money just to get here. Compared to other festivals this one is run exceptionally. There is no heavy handed security people acting like wanna be cops. There presence is there if you need one. All of the staff is friendly, helpful and happy. The crowd is organized well and there is plenty of room for everyone. The only morning competition and run for space is for shaded areas and shade shelter spots. If you want to get close to the performers it's easy to just walk up to the standing area in front of the stage. For such big name acts, the festival crowd is mellow and friendly. At no time did I smell tobacco or witness its use in the standing area, a real rarity! The biggest positive, somewhat surprisingly, is that they don't price gouge now that you are captive. At some festivals the whole town raises their prices just for you. All the prices here were pretty much normal. Some of the food trucks were a bit pricey but not obscene. The sandwiches at the coffee shop were way overpriced but overall the food and beverage scene was good. We had to take the lift to the top in order to see the mountain peaks through the smoke. I'm glad we did, it was fun and spectacular. The lodging was very nice, with a good supply of hot water and a comfortable bed. The sounds travel well through the walls and ceiling so a good nights sleep is not guaranteed. We had an elephant man upstairs who walked about in his room for hours! WHY? Just bring ear plugs, they may help. The room key gets you into the pool area, but the hot tub had too many people in it to try. Did not matter, the air temp was 95 degrees at 6:00 pm. It's a bit of a drive to get here but I think I liked this festival better than Rocky Grass, just because everything is so much easier. If there is another great lineup I'll be here! Billy Strings?
