Beauty is Joi is only opened on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays so check the website for her hours. It's located off of Chamblee Dunwoody Road and there is plenty of free parking. Joi is VERY thorough and wants to ensure you get the best waxing. The girl knows her stuff! What really impressed me was how knowledgeable she was about hair, skin and upkeep. This place a little hard for me to find initially, if you're coming off of 85N and turning right onto chamblee tucker. I recommend making a left at presidential parkway (next to shell) and make a right into the Park Ridge 85 Office Park. If you take a immediately a left, you will find building 5 and look for the blue door on the right hand side of the building (if you're facing the building). My first appointment I just had medium pressure (deep tissue is an additional 10 dollars), it was pretty good but I definitely would have enjoyed it more with more pressure. After my first appointment, she helped me schedule my next appointment on the spot. I had to reschedule my second appointment due to a schedule conflict, but again, Spa Zone was prompt at returning my phone call to reschedule my appointment. This time, I asked for deep tissue and it really helped relieved some of the muscle aches and tightness I've built up. I really like that she does a bit of the face and scalp massage as well. I called earlier in the day around noon to see if her business was open and to my surprise, she was able to fit me right in on such short notice. In light of everything going on in the world, I have been trying to support many more Black-owned businesses and I'm so glad I could start my Saturday with her. She is located in Tucker, GA in a quaint little space and upon arrival she asks you to arrive with your mask on (you will be able to take it off during the service), wash your hands, and takes your temperature because #covid19. Very appreciative of her efforts to keep her clients safe and her space sanitized for each guest! I decided to get the Refined Facial and B3 Back Facial. The entire experience was about two hours and included extractions, steaming, masks, and recommendations on products I could use to clear my acne and hyperpigmentation up in the future. She also has products on-hand for purchase as well. To my surprise, my back facial also included a massage and wow! Jamecia is so gentle, but really understands how to target your problem areas. She is also, in my opinion, very affordable for the quality of products she uses, location and precision in her work.
