Honestly folks, go somewhere else. The customer service is dismal. I've lived here for about 1.5…read moreyears, in a lease that they didn't explain well when I moved in. I moved in after a fire in my home. When I moved in I was told that I was receiving a discounted rent rate because my apartment was not remodeled like many of the others. what a joke that was, I found out later that was never true and that renter amounts change based on occupancy. I've tried to get my ice maker fixed more than 10 times. work order after work order just to have a maintenance person come and "fix" and then immediately have the same problem. At what point do they replace the damn refrigerator? I also met with management after being treated like "dirt" by one of the employees when I tried to discuss a concern. The manager listened but everything she told me were lies. She told me they would come look at our carpets...hasn't happened and it's been about 3 months. She said they would replace our countertops with the upgraded counters. now she said "we are not doing that". I finally did get my refrigerator bottom piece that was missing since I moved in but that took over a year and again my ice maker has never worked properly. Before I moved in they asked what I thought would qualify them as luxury. sounds dumb but the ice maker was one of my musts, and I've never had it function properly. Additionally, I'm in the military and was deployed overseas for a couple of months. While gone my bank accounts were hacked and I had to call the bank to shut down any debit cards, credit cards etc. My rent is automatically debited and of course that stopped. Now I wasn't aware until about 6 days after the due date this had happened. As soon as I learned of the fraud alert I called the apartment complex. Keep in mind I pay around $2400 a month to live here. More than my house payment for a crappy out of date apartment. When I contacted the apartment complex from overseas I thought they understood and I paid them as soon as I received my new account information. I returned from overseas a week later and found an eviction notice on my door and they charged me about $600 in late fees. Again, I have never been late so you would think due to the situation of my fraud alert and all accounts being shut down while I was overseas thy would have some mercy. but nope... no care at all by management yet they can lie, not answer my requests. treat their tenants rudely and there is no recourse. I can't get out of here fast enough, unfortunately that won't be until April when my lease expires.Know that there's no such thing as living here a year and then moving out once you're ready. You have to sign another year lease. All kidding aside, you're better off in a low income apartment because that's how this "luxury" apartment complex takes care of you.

Bottom line: do not move in here…read more Management was very friendly and helpful while living at Austin Springs, but they are also very pushy and when we gave our notice that we were leaving, they became very rude to us. They up the rent more than $100 every year. They try to sell you on a "special deal" when it's time to renew your lease, but you only have 4 days to consider it and it's still increased by at least $100. I think it's ridiculous that you have to pay for the trash valet, even if you don't use it. They will charge you additional cleaning fees when you move out, even if you clean the apartment. They have a clause in their contract that says they can keep your security deposit AND charge you excess. We didn't read the fine print. However, the apartment was not cleaned well when we moved in. The dryer vent was smashed and filled with lint, the microwave was cracked, there was a hunk out of one of our doors, the toilet seat was broken, and there was some sticky substance spilled under our sink. When we reported this to the office, they tried to come out 2 weeks later at 9pm to clean it up, but we had already cleaned by then. Maintenance does is fairly quick to respond but they do a sloppy job. Parking is extremely difficult. People end up parking wherever they can and blocking cars in. The office does not do anything about it. There are other places near there that are just as nice, less expensive and less shady.

Grounds were mostly maintained 4. Most people seemed friendly 5. Maintenance requests were addressed promptly 6. No shortage of hot water 7. Washer and Dryer were excellent 8. Internet worked great 9. Walls seemed fairly solid so you wouldn't hear everything your neighbors were doing 10. Location felt very safe The Neutral- 1. Living-room was an odd shape which limited what furniture fit 2. Certain rooms were always super hot/cold while others were the opposite 3. No ceiling fans 4. Kitchen sinks were super tiny 5. Kitchen cabinets were very dated and needed to be lined in order to use 6. Refrigerator was very old and super tiny 7. The lights outside the apartments were way too bright so you needed blackout curtains 8. The halls were dirty, smelled bad, and were not well maintained The Negative- 1. Lots of people refused to clean up after their dogs even though there were free disposal bags at all of the grassy islands. I was always dodging poo landmines 2. I would hear dogs barking nonstop in other apartments in my building 3. Toilets were super old and plumbing was weak 4. Bathroom fixtures were super old and the bathtub made creaking sounds when standing in it 5. Water would get freezing cold and then scolding hot in a matter of seconds if someone flushed a toilet or started the dishwasher or washer, so you had to make sure no one used any water while you were showering 6. There were HUGE spiders and tons of stink bugs on the balconies 7. People were lazy and would leave trash outside of the dumpsters rather than putting it inside of them and then the trash would blow around the lot 8. The pool always had tons of tree debris and bugs floating in it 9. The garages were dilapidated, dirty, full of water and mold, and not worth having since you won't want to leave anything in there 10. I had to dodge TONS of goose poop walking on the sidewalks and entryways 12. People speed through the parking lots and I saw a duck get hit :( 13. The main doors to the buildings were always open so anyone could enter. I would get random people knocking on my door which was unsettling 14. My packages would often get delivered to the wrong building or apartment and the people who received them would just keep them

There's always some project going on here. Some buildings are 2 story, some are 3. But what I LOVE most about this place is we have our own private Amazon locker for item pickup. Just bring your phone with a code or the barcode and the door opens and poof theres your item. The pool is a beautiful spot to hangout. There are bikes the rent right here on property (I haven't done that yet so I'm unsure if its free or not). All in all, there's a reason we've stayed ten years. Just keep in mind it is an apartment and not everybody is up to date on apartment etiquette - but thats really any apartment complex.

The staff are poorly trained and not knowledgeable. The apartments are the epitome of landlord special with an additional touch of neglect. The problems started before move in. The staff said there was a "mix up" with our unit assignment, and made us drop everything to change all of our utilities and resign a different lease the same day of move in. When we moved in, in February, there was a paper on the counter that said they have a "white glove guarantee"- the apartment was so disgusting we had to deep clean before moving our stuff in, and in addition, the windows were stuck OPEN with a full 2 inch gap above the windowsill. Open windows in winter, which weren't fixed for 2 weeks, uninhabitable conditions. We were offered no discount on rent or lost utilities. When I called to talk to office staff, a sexist member of the office staff told me I should try harder to shut the windows--FYI the windows required entire replacements, which could not be resolved by trying harder to shut them. In addition to the price gauged rent, you can expect to pay up to $400 monthly in additional utilities, including a required internet and cable package. As if anyone needs to pay for cable these days, you are REQUIRED to pay for it. The monthly charges on top of rent also include various fees that are deceptively snuck in. The entire time we lived there we also had maintenance requests unanswered- staff were not receptive of these things and they were not resolved. The cherry on top was my move out process. They asked us on 10 separate occasions to renew our lease. They were weird about us having a roommate. The manager accused me of not turning in the keys, which she later found, after several accusatory calls and texts, and then asked for my forwarding address after I had provided it 3 separate times, just confirming that they hadn't been reading any of my messages documenting things. One last thing-- a member of the office staff, Katie, spread rumors about us both within the leasing office and to other residents. A neighbor told me that Katie had been discussing our personal lives to other residents, and when I called to discuss this, a man in the office confirmed this and told me she had been transferred anyways. Extremely rude and unprofessional. Disgusting behavior.

I would not suggest this apartment complex to anyone. Unfortunately, the Aston North Scottsdale is…read morea terribly run and horribly unsecured property, and the Connor Group has done nothing to improve this but lock people into binding leases through shady, manipulative tactics and neglect its residents. My biggest grievance is the DOMESTIC SHOOTING that occurred on property Halloween night including several individuals from MANAGEMENT and MAINTENANCE. The Connor Group handled the situation horribly thereafter. Instead of transparently informing residents of the incident and offering us an option to peacefully vacate our leases, after the safety and security of our home had been breached by those responsible with keeping it, but the Connor Group did not even inform residents of the full situation. A short email was sent out informing us of a "domestic incident" and extra security and police expected to be around. They then replaced the entire on-site staff, either shipping them off or removing them from their positions and the property. New management is "temporary" and "doesn't know anything." It is unfair to put residents through such a traumatic experience, and then leave them out to dry in this manner with no reasonable option out. The Connor Group does not even have an early termination clause in their leases, you are simply required to pay the remainder of the term. I am appalled by the Connor Group and the way it has treated its residents. On top of this, in less than a year at the Aston I have experienced: - Overly aggressive sales tactics, scaring residents into renewing due to "high demand in prices" that haven't changed in months - Delivery drivers leaving packages all over the property, rarely in lockers as they almost never have access to the proper areas to deliver. - Residents partying and having sexual relations in the pool area all night, disturbing other residents - A perpetual beeping in the parking garage that can be easily heard throughout the apartment complex, disturbing residents in their sleep - The health department had to shut down the pool due to improper maintenance and cleaning - Multiple broken doors on the property (that took months to be repaired) The Connor Group needs to do better, and at least offer residents a reasonable way out when they ask.

We have written complaints for the 1st month we have lived here about smoking when they had told us that smoking in the apartment buildings was not aloud that was a lie. We have complained of lots noises banging on walls etc. Which apparently others in this 8912 building has also complained. We have went to the authorities only after getting harassment emails from the office not only not knowing where the loud noices are coming from but to just assume for we as well have offered the office to come check out the issue and to invite them into our home as well. They have threatened us with a eviction and have called us screaming at my husband over the phone. My husband is a local police officer there for working many hours as I work at a bar from 3pm to 3am. We are hardly ever home. When rent was do we have always paid on time. We even have them set to auto pay and they have charged us 200. For a late fee when it shouldn't of been late. I pay on the web site with a 5,000. Credit card limit which they are attached to. I'm tired and we are doing our best to keep the peace, this office is unreasonably hate full and shows no respect for their tenants. Please be advised to read you contracts before moving in. Know your rights and have a attorney go over what those rights are with you. Hope everyone is having a great Holliday Im sorry for the ones that has also experienced these issues here and for the ones thats causing the lissues please check yourself and leave others alone

The garage parking that you pay for should and needs to be pro-rated since the garage has been broken all of 2023. We now have break-ins. This is from people coming in through the unsecured garage. Another violation of the Ohio revised code including the amount of trash and unsanitary conditions in the garage. As this is a contract that is broken. I think 450.00 taken off rent for the 6 months of garage parking that the garage hasn't worked. I think anyone that lives and pays for the garage should be asking for their proration. I believe that management here is more concerned about stupid stuff such as events and posting on their Facebook page instead of the real issues. Maybe this company is way over its head and really doesn't need to be in the rental industry.
