***SEE THE BBB WEBSITE FOR THE REAL REVIEWS OF CONNOR GROUP*** Since CG took over Dock Street Flats in Minneapolis, MN the problems that have arisen due to thier negelect/unwillingness to put money back into the building are impossible to ignore. The building is filthy (see photos) there is major price gouging with regards to trash, recycling and "shared" internet (mandatory $100 fee). My rent increased over 20% when I (unfortunately) renewed my lease after CG took over. No cable TV in the common areas/no satellite radio anymore (CG cuts corners to save $ anywhere possible). When it's time to renew your lease they schedule a "walk though" which is nothing more than a way to strong arm you (in your own home) into renewing your lease at a considerable (10-20%) increase. Some residents have reported they were given "one hour" to decide and the rent was $100 over price advertised on the website. The elevators/entryway have not been mopped or wiped down for months. Trash rooms accumulate trash/recycling and at one point the trash in the garage was not emptied for weeks, residents had to put trash on the ground and now there is a huge stain there (see photo). There is 1 maintenance person & 1 cleaning person for this 150+ unit building, no clening person on the weekends (Larmar had 3 cleaning & 2 maintenace who rotated weekends). My trash/recycling fees increased over 100% (that's not a typo) six months after CG took over (this is typical of the CG to do and you will consistently see it mentioned in reviews). As far as moving out? You'll be charged anywhere from $1-3k for painting, replacing carpets and cabinets. You won't get your deposit back and will wind up owing potentially thousands for routine maintenance on apartments upon move out (they won't do a walk through with you present, they do it after you move out so you cannot correct any issues they find). They will send your account to collections if you question it or refuse to pay. They have accused me of "tracking down" emplyees on social media (I don'thave SM accounts). When I ask which SM site this occurred on they ignore my inquiries (they can't answer because it ***never happened***). They won't answer questions via email and will insist to meet in person. This way they cannot be held to task for what they say as there is no paper trail . Join "Tenants United Against Connor Group' on Facebook for the real stories/reviews ***Do your research*** I will not be renewing my lease when it is up in 2024 and regret renewing it this year. I have personally heard Abby verbally berate an Amazon driver who was simply asking for a signature for packages he delivered......don't expect packages to be signed for (sometimes they will, most times they won't), you'll need to be home to sign for them yourself. I learned this the hard way when documents I needed were refused to be signed for by one of "helpful staff". Once you sign the lease you are nothing but a cash cow for the company and they will get every last cent they can out of you. Staff talks in circles and will tell you they are "working" to correct problems, however nothing will change. I've seen text strings with Mike in which he is extremely belittling to the resident. Again, DO YOUR RESEARCH. Current residents have expressed fear to write reviews due to the fact they believe CG will retaliate (and they do). Email me at alexsueeisch@gmail.com for more information/photos before you sign anything with CG. Take a look at 365, 270 Hennepin, 222 Hennepin, Nic on 5th, literally anywhere else in the area and realize that DSF is not "luxury" building and that you don't need to pay $100 for internet and $200 for trash/recycling, "common" electric, etc. When you move here you are literally opening your wallet for these lying litigious opportunistic people to grab as much as they please. Don't ask questions though as they will threaten you with a lawsuit or fire off a letter from one of thier attorneys (as they did to me). RUN from anything the CG is associated with. Former employees have confirmed a majority/all of positive reviews are faked. As of December 2023 Connor group is violating minnesota state law by ignoring my requests to send copies of the common utility bills they are forcing me to pay toward.

I live at Outlook DTC apartments and have lived there for almost 4 years now. I haven't had many issues since living there, only minor problems. The management company before The Connor Group was Greystar and they were not great themselves but my god the Connor Group has outdone themselves with their level of ineptitude. Yesterday, after the very heavy rain that passed through Denver, there was a severe issue where the roof had damage and it allowed water to soak thru the roof and into my apartment through the ceiling. There was water flooding out of my light fixtures, out of the fire alarm and out of the fire sprinkler system. I was at home during this time and immediately called the office to alert them of the issue. They told me to go downstairs while someone tried to remediate the issue. I got rather angry when I was downstairs because the women that work at this apartment acted like my apartment would be safe and that I should be able to return after the maintenance was done to remove the water. Now, Sarah is nice and she is trying her best at this company but she has little leverage she can do because The Connnor Group is just a horrible organization. The other woman that works at the front desk just does not care about anyone she was rolling her eyes acting like I was being dramatic. The water was falling all over my electrical stove and out of the lights. This concerned me as this feels like a fire hazard! I also live right across from the electrical room, was that flooding too?? They refused to accommodate me with any other place to stay in the interim and I ended up booking a hotel across the street for 2 nights to figure out what to do. I was not going to stay in my apartment. Thankfully I DIDN'T because it rained all morning and was flooding again. Why would I want to live in those conditions? My renters insurance at least covers this additional hotel cost. I've been at the hotel now and this is my last night - the apartment still has significant water damage in the ceiling and walls. There are water stains all over the ceiling and since it rained all morning, pretty heavily, there was additional flooding while I was gone. They still maintained that I needed to remain living in the apartment and that I would still be having to pay full rent and that they would be able to fix the issue in full once the roof was properly dried out. This seems ridiculous to me as the unit is not in a habitable state right now AND I work from home so this work that will need to be done to repair my drywall will be a nightmare. I am informed that other tenants below me are suffering from the same issues and I assume they are being told they need to live there as well. I don't see rain in the forecast anytime soon but if another storm comes thru before they fix the roof issue, my apartment will surely be flooded again. I now worry about mold growing and this being unhealthy as well as dangerous fire potential.

Picture of the poor cleanliness and management from the Connor Group at the L2 uptown property in Dallas.

This is a review of the "L2 Uptown" property owned by the Connor Group. The new Management company "Connor Group" came in about a month ago and since has turned what was a properly managed luxury apartment complex into an trash filled, pest /rodent infested, grotesque property. The pool has a film to it, which is not evaluated and cleaned on a daily basis. Trash lines the garage, trash rooms on each floor, and the grounds. An unprofessional staff of Maintenance people and office representatives that are poorly under trained to manage a property. A poorly maintained dog park, doesn't get washed, waste bags not filled, leading to bad smells, and inability to use an amenity. Common areas not maintained or cleaned. Strongly suggest not moving here.

Living in a Connor luxury apartment means living with the garbage every day

Horrible company that will find ways to rip you off. Read the reviews. Read the BBB complaint and read the responses from The Connor Group and you will see a clear pattern. A pattern of "we are right" and you the tenet are ALWAYS WRONG. They will spend thousands of dollars in staff time and lawyers letters, just to keep your $200 deposit. They will go out of their way to post unbelievably fake positive reviews on Google to drowned out the real truthful reviews. When an issue happens they'll try to calm you down and tell you they'll take care of it, but keep in mind they never put it in writing. And then by the time is it ready for them to take care of you they will act as if they never spoke to you about it and they will flip it around so that you will be victimized more and more and more. And then while you are down and out, they will kick you in the head and charge you for a new floor from the blood that you spill. Why?? Because they promised the employees a sense of ownership in a company in which is ran by Larry Connor who spends millions of dollars on a trip to the bottom of the ocean and to the skies above us as a want to be child astronaut. They care less about their tenants and more about how they can separate a penny from you.

I live in the Saxon Woods luxury apartments in McKinney TX. I have lived here since January of 2019. I personally have had many maintenance issues since I have lived here that have been generally ignored. Water leaking from the refrigerator, Water leak from the upstairs apartment that caused the light fixture in my garage to fall down was never repaired, Fire dept. access door outside of my apartment has been stuck open since I moved in, non functioning light fixtures. Many maintenance requests little to no response. There are two pools in the community, one has only been open for one month out of the twelve months I have been here. The security lighting (not working since I got here) has finally been replaced after a group of residents started a facebook page about Saxon Woods and began to organize a protest in front of the property. The entry / exit gates are often broken and the gate on the north side of the property has been stuck in the closed position for at least the past month. Do not rent from these people.

DO NOT RENT FROM THE CONNER GROUP AT SAXON WOODS IN MCKINNEY!!! I moved into Saxon Woods almost 3 years ago, at the time managed by Cortland. It was a great community - clean, safe, prompt to address service requests; however, in mid to late December of 2019 we received messages that The Conner Group would be taking over the management of the community. Since that time there has been nothing but headache. They immediately started "upgrading" the community by painting. The painters put a cover on my brand new car to protect it from paint, but the cover had a huge whole in it, which I had to go out & duct tape. The painters also moved the items on my patio to paint & did not return them to the original location. The first month The Conner Group was in place I attempted to pay rent online, as I have been since day one & found that a fee would be assessed if paid online. Reluctantly I went ahead & paid only to find that I was charged two months rent because the website did not confirm the payment was received. Most recently - mid March - just before we were sheltered in place due to the Covid-19, I submitted two maintenance requests: 1) for the refrigerator, as it was not cooling or making ice properly & 2) for what looked like black mold in the bathroom, as well as the plank floor in the bathroom by the washer & dryer warping & soapy water coming up through the planks. These requests could not be submitted by phone as had been allowed through Courtland. I called in the request & was told it would be addressed the next day. Next day comes & no response. So I called the following day & there was no record of my requests. I submitted the requests again - meanwhile we had just been told our kids would not be returning to school & my husband would be working from home. I called the office & requested the frig be addressed immediately due to the world circumstances. A repair man came out & spent over 2 hours working on the frig stating it was a timer problem & replaced the timer. The frig started getting cooler & seemed to be working. About a week & a half later we started experiencing the same problems with the frig not cooling properly. On Easter Sunday we woke up to a completely dead frig. We were very reluctant to having anyone come into the apartment with the Covid-19 going on, so I requested a new unit. I was told by the property manager, Tracy, that was not possible & someone would have to come into the apartment to look at the frig. This was very upsetting; however, we allowed it as long as the maintenance person was completely covered in protective gear. He came out & spent over 3 hours. He replaced the timer again. We had to throw away 3 trash bags of food, hundreds of dollars. After 24 hours of the "repair" the frig was still not cooling. I reported it to the office & they refused to bring another unit. Seven days after the "repair" the frig was dying again. I left a message for the office & never received a response. I called Tracy on April 20th again requesting another unit which she refused. AT this point I kind of lost my mind. Demanding a new unit, which she refused. I then found her supervisor, Steve, whom I attempted to contact. This man apparently has no office, only a voicemail. Over a week I left at least 10 voicemails for him, with no responses. I was told there was no one above him. On April 25th the frig was completely dead. I called the after hours repair number to report in one last attempt to get a new unit - as I was going to buy a frig. I came into contact with the most wonderful maintenance man, Kevin, whom was able to get us a new unit by noon on Saturday. I have retained an attorney, as I am refusing to pay any rent until I am compensated for the loss of hundreds of dollars of food that was wasted. I started reading reviews after this & there are many of the same type of experiences. This complex has definitely gone downhill since the change in management. I will be leaving ASAP!! Again DO NOT RENT here!!! June 5th - UPDATE ON THE DRAMA AT SAXON WOODS.....Please note of you live at Saxon Woods in McKinney....the manager told me this morning they didn't have to make requested repairs!! As some of you know I submitted work requests on March 15th & they have not been completed - see pics on my previous posts. As a result of non-repairs I have not paid rent for April, May & June. She gave me an eviction notice this morning & asked if I was going to pay rent to which I responded "are you going to repair the apartment?" Her response was she didn't have too. I would not open the door for her because she refused to wear a mask. Then while talking to her through the door she put in the master key & attempted to enter the apartment!!! And if I had shot her??? GET OUT & TELL YOUR FRIENDS NOT TO RENT HERE...HELL I WOULDN'T EVEN WANT MY ENEMIES TO RENT HERE.

Honestly folks, go somewhere else. The customer service is dismal. I've lived here for about 1.5…read moreyears, in a lease that they didn't explain well when I moved in. I moved in after a fire in my home. When I moved in I was told that I was receiving a discounted rent rate because my apartment was not remodeled like many of the others. what a joke that was, I found out later that was never true and that renter amounts change based on occupancy. I've tried to get my ice maker fixed more than 10 times. work order after work order just to have a maintenance person come and "fix" and then immediately have the same problem. At what point do they replace the damn refrigerator? I also met with management after being treated like "dirt" by one of the employees when I tried to discuss a concern. The manager listened but everything she told me were lies. She told me they would come look at our carpets...hasn't happened and it's been about 3 months. She said they would replace our countertops with the upgraded counters. now she said "we are not doing that". I finally did get my refrigerator bottom piece that was missing since I moved in but that took over a year and again my ice maker has never worked properly. Before I moved in they asked what I thought would qualify them as luxury. sounds dumb but the ice maker was one of my musts, and I've never had it function properly. Additionally, I'm in the military and was deployed overseas for a couple of months. While gone my bank accounts were hacked and I had to call the bank to shut down any debit cards, credit cards etc. My rent is automatically debited and of course that stopped. Now I wasn't aware until about 6 days after the due date this had happened. As soon as I learned of the fraud alert I called the apartment complex. Keep in mind I pay around $2400 a month to live here. More than my house payment for a crappy out of date apartment. When I contacted the apartment complex from overseas I thought they understood and I paid them as soon as I received my new account information. I returned from overseas a week later and found an eviction notice on my door and they charged me about $600 in late fees. Again, I have never been late so you would think due to the situation of my fraud alert and all accounts being shut down while I was overseas thy would have some mercy. but nope... no care at all by management yet they can lie, not answer my requests. treat their tenants rudely and there is no recourse. I can't get out of here fast enough, unfortunately that won't be until April when my lease expires.Know that there's no such thing as living here a year and then moving out once you're ready. You have to sign another year lease. All kidding aside, you're better off in a low income apartment because that's how this "luxury" apartment complex takes care of you.

Bottom line: do not move in here…read more Management was very friendly and helpful while living at Austin Springs, but they are also very pushy and when we gave our notice that we were leaving, they became very rude to us. They up the rent more than $100 every year. They try to sell you on a "special deal" when it's time to renew your lease, but you only have 4 days to consider it and it's still increased by at least $100. I think it's ridiculous that you have to pay for the trash valet, even if you don't use it. They will charge you additional cleaning fees when you move out, even if you clean the apartment. They have a clause in their contract that says they can keep your security deposit AND charge you excess. We didn't read the fine print. However, the apartment was not cleaned well when we moved in. The dryer vent was smashed and filled with lint, the microwave was cracked, there was a hunk out of one of our doors, the toilet seat was broken, and there was some sticky substance spilled under our sink. When we reported this to the office, they tried to come out 2 weeks later at 9pm to clean it up, but we had already cleaned by then. Maintenance does is fairly quick to respond but they do a sloppy job. Parking is extremely difficult. People end up parking wherever they can and blocking cars in. The office does not do anything about it. There are other places near there that are just as nice, less expensive and less shady.

This is not a place to raise a family or live you're day to day life , Me and my wife lived here…read morefor not even 2 months and we had multiple noise complaints even when we weren't home and the dogs were caged to the point of being asked to move or be evicted. We have a disabled daughter as my wife Odessa Romine stated and 2 dogs , My disabled daughter walks alittle hard as she has a spinal issue that she cannot fix. The only time she was every "loud" is if she would walk up the stairs and if my dogs had to go potty they would get excited other than that which are uncontrollable we were quite and did not cause excessive noise. There were banging noises that we could hear from other apartments that surround but we did not complain , however we kept getting hurrassed by bs complaints so I made some of my own our neighbors would smoke in there garage every day and it was disgusting to smell , we made complaints about that and nothing ever changed. I even got a call from the manager in the office screaming at me at 10am " what the hell is going on over there ! " mind you i just woke up and my wife was in the shower this incident was because a neighbor complained that there walls were shaking , which is utter bs . As far as there statement goes to my wife about factual evidence we were the tenants that had to suffer with this . DO NOT RENT HERE IF YOU HAVE DOGS OR KIDS We only vacated because they let us cancel our lease without penalty and I was tired of being hurrassed daily This apartment has paper thin walls so unless your 80 years old HIGHLY DONT RECOMMEND READ WASHINGTON PLACE POLICES

TLDR: extremely overpriced not even including hidden fees, unprofessional staff, unresolved…read moremaintenance, horrible unit upon move in Hunters chase continually disappointed us during our year of living there. The staff are poorly trained and not knowledgeable. The apartments are the epitome of landlord special with an additional touch of neglect. The problems started before move in. The staff said there was a "mix up" with our unit assignment, and made us drop everything to change all of our utilities and resign a different lease the same day of move in. When we moved in, in February, there was a paper on the counter that said they have a "white glove guarantee"- the apartment was so disgusting we had to deep clean before moving our stuff in, and in addition, the windows were stuck OPEN with a full 2 inch gap above the windowsill. Open windows in winter, which weren't fixed for 2 weeks, uninhabitable conditions. We were offered no discount on rent or lost utilities. When I called to talk to office staff, a sexist member of the office staff told me I should try harder to shut the windows--FYI the windows required entire replacements, which could not be resolved by trying harder to shut them. In addition to the price gauged rent, you can expect to pay up to $400 monthly in additional utilities, including a required internet and cable package. As if anyone needs to pay for cable these days, you are REQUIRED to pay for it. The monthly charges on top of rent also include various fees that are deceptively snuck in. The entire time we lived there we also had maintenance requests unanswered- staff were not receptive of these things and they were not resolved. The cherry on top was my move out process. They asked us on 10 separate occasions to renew our lease. They were weird about us having a roommate. The manager accused me of not turning in the keys, which she later found, after several accusatory calls and texts, and then asked for my forwarding address after I had provided it 3 separate times, just confirming that they hadn't been reading any of my messages documenting things. One last thing-- a member of the office staff, Katie, spread rumors about us both within the leasing office and to other residents. A neighbor told me that Katie had been discussing our personal lives to other residents, and when I called to discuss this, a man in the office confirmed this and told me she had been transferred anyways. Extremely rude and unprofessional. Disgusting behavior.

Terrible ownership, worked there as maintenance with one other guy for an almost 300 unit complex…read morefor 3 years, they were terrible, constantly behind on our bills, took two to three weeks to get appliances approved, management was constantly late to work and pushing unrealistic work goals while video chatting friends in the office, dudes had us painting 3-4 units a week while taking care of a pool, same week I'd do 3-4 ac repairs and 20-30 work orders, have to take a day of overtime, and they'd still find the one day you clocked in 2 minutes behind on accident, don't live here, you'll be wanting to strangle the office staff by your second or third visit, and none of you're issues will ever actually be fixed because the staff doesn't have the man power to run the building properly

This place has fallen from grace. This used to be an upstanding place but since the new management…read morecame in it's now basically section 8 at high rate prices. Constant fighting in hallways. Fire alarms going off. Doors broken. They claim you can't smoke here but the sweet smell of weed fills the halls all day. They have not met their landlord obligations under Ohio revised code 5321.04. I do not feel safe here any longer. The garage parking that you pay for should and needs to be pro-rated since the garage has been broken all of 2023. We now have break-ins. This is from people coming in through the unsecured garage. Another violation of the Ohio revised code including the amount of trash and unsanitary conditions in the garage. As this is a contract that is broken. I think 450.00 taken off rent for the 6 months of garage parking that the garage hasn't worked. I think anyone that lives and pays for the garage should be asking for their proration. I believe that management here is more concerned about stupid stuff such as events and posting on their Facebook page instead of the real issues. Maybe this company is way over its head and really doesn't need to be in the rental industry.

The very first day I moved in the water heater died, and leaked water all over the kitchen. It would have killed my computer had I not rushed to move it out of the way! The emergency maintenance person didn't respond to the call, and I had to wait over 24 hours for running water! When they replaced the water heater, they left the old one up in the attic storage along with yet another old / dead unit! So basically the storage that I paid for was mostly taken up by 3 water heaters supported by a questionable attic / ceiling structure! 2. The garbage disposal died, and leaked water all over the under sink cabinet area until the wood finally rotted, and mold set in! I made several attempts to let them know the severity of the situation, and they did nothing to fix it! I am guessing it's because they are too cheap to afford more than one maintenance guy, and he was always way behind on calls / problems! 3. I literally lived next door to a crackhead (he admitted it, and I had seen him do it on one occasion!) They'll let anyone move in there so have fun playing Russian roulette with your possessions, and loved ones! On multiple occasions the crackhead neighbor would come to my door beating and screaming to the point where I was about to call the cops. I had also brought this to their attention (really early in my lease) and the office manager almost seemed to not even take me seriously when I would complain about this guy. This guy would literally get into multiple fights in and around his apartment, and cops were called on multiple occasions! Don't rent from this place, it was the worst renting experience ever! The place was dangerous, it smelled, there was disruptive noise 24/7, and the staff were completely uncooperative!!!
