The Stress Free Moose in Greenville is one of our favorite spots to stop for lunch whenever my wife…read moreand I are in town riding our side-by-side. The food is always great--fresh, hearty, and perfect after a day on the trails. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and the staff is consistently friendly. Whether we're grabbing a quick bite or sitting down for a relaxing meal, this place never disappoints. A must-visit whenever you're in Greenville!

Location is great and it's always busy plus a strong hangout for locals or summer folks like us. Service was quick as was the food coming out, but here is the rub. We ordered a single pretzel, 4 beers @ $10 each and a large order of chicken tenders @ $18. They go by weight for the tenders which ended up being 4 in total. We asked if they could do half the order in one sauce & the balance in another which they did. What they failed to mention was a charge of $4 to do so. The total bill for what we ordered was $74 before tax and tip. Food was fine, average pub grub; nothing that would knock your socks off. Would you go back? To come back on a warm day and sit on their deck and have a single beer sure. Beyond that I'm not sure I can bring myself to do it.

Adequate beer menu with numerous mixed drinks available. We opted for just an appetizer and beer. The buffalo chicken dip was good. Just the right amount of stinginess and a good amount of chicken. The chips were delish. I'm taking off one star for the wait. We had a staff member come by twice to assure us a server would be with us soon. We told each other we would wait five more minutes before leaving...

Several things were not available after we ordered them (we should have been told when ordering). We waited so long for drinks, then for one appetizer, then 5 dinners arrived and 1 did not, for another 15 minutes. We had asked about the size of scallops, server said big. When they arrived they may have been big at one time but there was maybe 3 scallops cut into pieces and spread out in a dish. It was terrible. 2 orders of steak tips ordered Medium were served pretty much less than rare and sent back. They came back medium rare. The meat in the reuben was full of gristle. While this restaurant has a great place on the lake it is not worth it any longer. I can say we've been previously and it was good, service has never been quick there though. And we will never come back nor suggest to others.

Canned music a bit mundane. Menu a bit better than the usual bar and nice $25 lobster roll with salad substitute for fries! Not much in Monson so glad it's here.

I would love to give this place a 5 - really would. Lots of reasons for 5 stars, like the food,…read morefriendly waitstaff, camp like ambiance. The only thing holding me back is the crazy wait time on a not so busy Sunday, for the food to be served. Like over an hour wait time for a sandwich and fried fish special. But I digress...on to the good! The fried fish was outstanding! There was a very large amount of flaky fresh haddock that had the perfect coating and was not greasy at all. I would say - some of the best I've had! I opted for the side salad instead of the fries. I'll not make that mistake again. Don't get me wrong, the salad was fresh and very nice...but those fries that came with the Reuben were excellent! I'm not sure, maybe hand cut? They had a great seasoning on them and were so crispy with a soft center. If they are from frozen- I want the company name to figure out where to get some for myself! My husband enjoyed his Reuben as well. Oh, and bonus was that they had my favorite hard cider - freedom's edge, sweet mulled, as well WHICH they served in a chilled glass. Love it! We will definitely be back, but not when we're super hungry or in a hurry to get either upta camp or home. I get things run slower in that neck of the woods, but moving things along in the kitchen a little faster would do wonders for those passing through!
