I ended up getting several pastries and some bagels (as why would you not), as well as their broccoli salad, cheese sandwich and some cherry pie. Yum! She wanted to take a Rueben home to her husband but it was a flight away, so the staff let her buy all the fixings and then make it at home. Amazing! It traveled well that way and got to be enjoyed by others. Will always go back to this spot as it has a special place in my heart as my Dad loved it, and it is an I su classic!

Great spot to hit for quick bite when you're running errands around Castleton. They have a variety of meat options, quite an assortment of veggie/plant-based options, sweet and hot peppers, and cold and hot options - so there's something for everyone. The Bobbie is their award-winning Thanksgiving-inspired sandwich and it is wonderful in the winter with a side of mashed potatoes and gravy. They roast a whole turkey fresh every day! For a time they had a chopped cheese, like the classic in Brooklyn. Staff here is kind, friendly, and quick. Ambiance is standard. However, you'd be remiss if you didn't make a stop in at some point. They primarily have table service but also a small bar "inside" - when the weather is nice, they open up the garage doors to make the entire establishment be outdoors. The staff that we encountered were all very friendly. Food is fantastic here, we ordered from the Devour menu back in August and got the burger and pulled pork sandwich with fries. They bring your food out on a giant sheet of butcher paper, so you're more than welcome to make a mess at the table! Everything was scrumptious, and the fries home as leftovers are as delicious as when you get them fresh. Perhaps that's why they're called the Best Fries in the World! I'm sure if a good sports game is on TV, you'll find me here soon enough!

I went with a Malibu and ginger ale, and it was served in this cute glass, I loved it! We were all so hungry, so we started out with a large order of fries, and they are a standout. They disappeared fast, came served on paper, and were crispy, hot, and delicious. We ordered the 2 10-piece wings (the biggest order available), including one batch cooked extra crispy. The wings were good, and I especially enjoyed the Fat Dan's hot BBQ sauce over the regular BBQ. I really liked the extra crispy wings. My boys also wanted burgers. One ordered the Wake N Bake Burger and the other got the Fat Dan's Burger. Both looked tasty, and neither of them complained. The ambiance strikes a nice balance between sports bar and family friendly restaurant. There is seating both inside and outside, and when the weather is nice, they open the large doors to create an open-air feel. That's where we sat, and I enjoyed it. Service was quick and efficient, which was much appreciated since my family arrived hungry. This is a solid spot for burgers, wings, and fries.

It's very cool on the inside with vintage and Indiana-themed decor, tin ceilings, and, of course, a potbelly stove. The staff were friendly. But brother and I were very confused about the ordering process. There wasn't a lot of directional signage showing where to start and each step of the process. I watched a few other customers go through and they didn't seem like they had a problem so maybe it was just us. Next time I would probably just order online and pick it up so I could avoid the in-person ordering process altogether. I had the turkey sandwich and it was pretty good. I would say definitely a step up from your typical sub sandwich chain in terms of flavor and toppings options. I tried the chili mac as well. The chili is definitely à la Wendy's but I enjoyed it. The mac and cheese was good as well. I'd probably get either on its own but not together again. I also tried the Potbelly/Zapp's collab chips, the Hot Pepper flavor. They were good but are definitely not for everyone. When I visited, most of their fountain soda options were out of order so I settled on a no sugar added Pineapple Passionfruit juice/soda which was actually pretty good. We'll definitely be back - especially to try out their milkshakes!

The sandwich is about as long as my humerus, and I ate the whole dang thing in one sitting. New York Gourmet Deli is not to be confused with NY Gourmet Deli, also in Indy. New York Gourmet Deli is located on East 21st Street on the near east side; NY Gourmet Deli is on Ruckle Street, near The Children's Museum. Are they owned by the same people? I don't know, but someone needs to change their name so I'm less confused. Anyway, New York Gourmet Deli, on the east side, is great and located in an unassuming parking lot full of potholes. It looks like a liquor store from the outside, but step inside and you'll see the large deli counter where you order sandwiches, burgers, fries and other foods. The joint is also a convenience store, of sorts, with a wall full of refrigerated beverages, aisles of chips, candy, and lots of Mexican snacks. There's also a little corner of the store with goods like laundry detergent and other necessities. The hustle here is unmatched. The fellows behind the counter were flying all over the kitchen to fulfill the orders. I visited around noon on a weekday, which seemed to be a busy time because there were lots of people from all walks of life here, either waiting to order or waiting for their orders. The guys behind the counter were unflappable and took orders and made sandwiches at a speedy pace. Even if there's a line, you won't wait long for your food.
