Skyview Foot & Body takes the award for the worst massage experience. Making a last-minute appointment was the only plus, but the second I stepped foot into the massage room, I was disappointed. It smelled musty, and the mustiness immediately made my brain hyper-alert. I got undressed and thought to myself, only 30mins, so no long-suffering. Damn, was I wrong! When I opened the paper-thin sheet, I wanted to vomit! It smelled like a fabric that'd been washed and dried beyond its capacity giving it a disgusting chemical-like smell. My shoulders were tight, and the massage was supposed to be a last-minute fix-me-up, so I got on the bed and threw the stinky blanket over me only halfway up my back, so the stench was not close to my face. The lady up front then comes in the room to give me the massage. Immediately it was a no, especially when she pulled the blanket all the way up to my neck, which is when I snatched it down and said it stank, which she ignored.10 minutes in, another lady comes in to take over even though lady #1 didn't inform me that the swap was going to happen. So boom, I am lying there just trying to let go and let God so that the experience wouldn't be more traumatic than it needed to be. The 2nd lady tried to upsell me by suggesting more time, but I kindly declined. She was better at massaging compared to the 1st one. Unfortunately not enough for me to leave the place pleased but a bit better. In all honesty, I don't know who these 5stars people are, but it was NOT it for me. Those 30mins spent there will be a core memory for a while until something else takes its place in the memory bank. At the price of $45 plus a tip for 30mins, I would've expected something better than what I got, but that's on me, and I learned a valuable lesson. Tl; Dr? Don't go for a full-body massage. If you are, carry your own towel/blanket and don't have high expectations. The area for the foot massages looked alright, so maybe opt for that. Check out their Google reviews. Purchased a gift certificate for my wife. When I went to sign the credit card receipt I was over charged $20.00 They apologized and said She could apply the $20.00 towards next visit or extend the massage and pay any difference. As a matter of convenience instead getting refund and recharging credit card I agreed. When my wife went for the massage she elected for the credit. Upon leaving she was she was told her tip of 17% was insufficient they wanted a minimum of what was the equivalent of 25%!!! She told them to keep the credit and she will not be back. Upon reading other reviews it seems they have a history of DEMANDING a set tip amount. This doesn't make sense. Why would you pay 25% more for a service. it gives the impression they are pocketing the cash and employees are working for tips if that is the case be honest upfront and let clients decide what the service tip is worth. Tips should be based on good service. I would discourage anyone from using them until they change their policy. read more

This is a very nice place. Friendly staff. Good massage reasonable price. Michelle at the front. Desk is very nice and helpful. Don't forget to tip your girl it is customary. I give it one star because they were open (7pm) and close. I went in for reflexology for my feet and my first mistake was allowing myself to be upsold from 30 minutes to 60 for an additional $10. I was very surprised when I was asked to pay upfront.... For $50 I was expecting more than lotion, one hot towel that was cold by time it was put on my other leg and a mediocre foot massage. As others came in I overheard what treatments they wanted as they were escorted to their rooms but they weren't asked to pay upfront, one person who was leaving asked for change as they were paying (you get where I'm going with this...) Normally I would tip 20% because I get it but I overpaid for an underwhelming foot rub so I gave her $5. Came here when they opened at 10am on a Saturday for the 90 min body and foot massage. We didnt have to wait, but it seems most of the employees dont speak English so there was some confusion over what treatment wanted. I was worried by some reviews because my partner and I got couples massages, but they did put us in the same room. The massage was ok. The hot stones were nice. We used gift cards, but I think regular price was $60. For the price, the quality of the massage was only decent. They gave us water in small plastic cups afterwards. I was going to tip $10 each, like 17%, and the person at the counter happened to know enough English to explain that "for 90 min its so much work." Basically they wanted us to tip $20 each: 30%! It rubbed me the wrong way and I dont think it was worth that big of a tip. But we paid it and left. Honestly I think next time I'd rather pay more for a better quality massage read more

Uhhh .... this place is interesting. We came here for a couples massage that we purchased off of Groupon. We had a 7:30 pm appointment that we had scheduled a week prior. When we originally called to make an appointment it was two weeks out and they said that it was too early to schedule an appointment and we should call the day before we'd like to go or the day of. We found that kind of strange. We showed up around 7:15 and the place looked closed. When we went inside we were informed that our couples massage would be in separate rooms. (Ummmm?...) Well that kind of defeats the purpose of a couples massage but we can roll with it. I was led into the main room where they had numerous beds for their foot massages. They had a room sectioned off with a see-through curtain. Where they took my boyfriend...I'm not sure? Lol. He wasn't nearby and it seemed they took him to the back. The women who led me in there left and kept the curtain open. I wasn't sure what I was supposed to do. She came back and told me I should have been undressed (change in front of the people getting foot massages?). She put a sheet folded on the bed and left. I closed the curtain, while still able to see the people on the other side, and changed and hopped onto the table. (You're welcome for the free show other customers ). There was nothing for me to go under so I tried to cover myself with the folded weird sheet. Oh my word I knew this was gonna be funny. My masseuse came in, covered me a tiny bit more with the sheet, and began her work. I stared at her feet while I tried to figure out if this was the actual massage or she was just prepping. I couldn't figure out what was going on. She left the room three times and I'm not sure why. Each time I was wondering if my time was up? Or what?? The pressure was minimal, seeing as I couldn't tell that I was in the middle of a massage, and I'm not sure there was a specific technique. When it was my turn to flip onto my back she just kept patting my side. I didn't know that was my cue and thought it was part of the massage or pat down I was getting. When I did turn over it was a constant battle with the sheet as I kept being exposed. When it was over she just said ok and left. When I walked out she stood over me waiting for her tip. My boyfriend and I walked out silently. When we were outside we both said in unison "what was that?" . Turned out his experience was similar and he felt awkward the entire time. Two days before my appointment I was called by someone asking if I could move it to 1030 because she was concerned that there would be traffic and that I would have to wait for someone to arrive. So I've never written a review about anything, ever... but this experience was just too unbelievable to not share. I was in the massage room getting undressed and the rooms dont have a door, rather, just a curtain (which is fine). Julie, the massage therapist, asked me through the closed curtain if I was ready and I told her that I needed one minute. She told me she will wait right outside the room. Being that it was dim in the massage room and bright in the hallway I was able to see through the closed curtain. I proceeded to hang my coat on the hook which was placed next to the doorway. While doing so I happened to catch a glance through the curtain at Julie and what I saw was not very pleasant. Julie had her finges half way up her nose. Now, to be clear, I'm not talking about a light brush of the nostril. She was digging so deep and forcefully to try and get the snot out of her nose... in fact, I've never seen anyone pick their nose with such velocity and persistence. The only thing I can compare it to was like watching a kindergartener who doesn't know any better digging deep into their nose. I stood there in horror for what seemed like an eternity to only watch it get worse. Julie pulled out a slimey snot and proceeded to roll it around between her fingers. She then wiped her nose a few times on the palm of her hand. Now I'm in a full blown panic of disgust. I open the curtain still fully clothed and Julie asked me if I was ready. I then asked her if she was going to wash her hands. She responded by giggling and saying "hehehe hands are clean". I then told her and gesticulated that I saw her picking her nose. She was in complete shock and just said "oh!". At this point, the experience was ruined for me so I told her that I cant do this and I'm leaving and not getting a massage. On my way out the receptionist asked me why I was leaving and I told her that Julie basically had her fist up her nose and wanted to rub my body with her unwashed booger hands. Then, I walked out. When you walk in the lady at the front desk was very friendly, took us straight to the rooms without even mentioning the groupon. The place sort of have a spa ambiance. Since it was valentines weekend, they could have at least decorated the place especially the room for the couples massage. Instead we were sent into a dark gloomy room. Our masseuse were very unprofessional! They ruin the whole atmosphere. I had a guy who smelled like cigarettes and was constantly coughing over me. Also his hands were very dry with crust which made my massage uncomfortable. I had to tell him a few times he was hurting me but I don't think he understand English. I was in pain during my massage and after. My husband had a lady who kept burping very loudly, how gross. Also she kept walking out of the room, for long periods of time during the timer. I don't believe they are licensed masseuse and honestly I wouldn't recommend this place. Towards the end I felt pressured to give them a tip and when I finally did, the lady started counting the money right in front of us. This place was ok. I think it has the potential to be better. My friend and I went there mid-afternoon to get the foot reflexology package. All of the lights were off and it was really quiet. There was no music or dim lighting for atmosphere. It felt as if it was closed which seemed awkward. The website said that neck and back rubs were included with the foot reflexology and we did not receive them. A sign inside said hot stone was included and we didn't receive that either. The place is getting worse. I go with my daughter for 1 hour foot massage every now and then. Today they started 15 min later, and ALL the time it was very loud up front. There are no doors, the receptionist was constantly on the phone, talking very loudly. There is NO way you can relax even for a little while..When, after the session, I remarked on that, she said she was taking clients' calls, but the phone rang very loudly as well, only 3 times, the rest of the time she was talking in her native language very loudly on the phone with whoever. I have been for many massages so had an expectation. I realized it wasn't going to be in a inmate spa setting however I didn't expect to first be in a large open room listening to the receptionist on the phone loudly speaking another language constantly. Not very tranquil nor professional. Never had me fill out paper work o ask me of any problems. I had the combo foot and body 2 hour massage. Started with the foot massage where I sat in a a room with a least 10 recliners and had a thick wool blanket put over me. A little grossed out as it has been on others not freshly laundered. The young women spoke very little English other then good, hot thanks you etc. Never asked me what I like other then bringing me a plastic cup with water. She continued doing the same thing over and over to the same foot used a hot stone which burned me. Instead of alternating my foot hurt. Normally I don't want it to end, I asked her to stop and change to the other foot which she didn't understand till I said no more and retracted my foot. At this point I felt as this person was not a licensed therapist at all. I tried to make the best of it she walked me to a small room that had a shear curtain not far from the receptionist. She said nothing and left. The table was a flat table with a make shift head support long sheet of paper on it. After 5 minutes I went out to receptionist and said what am I suppose to be doing she didn't tell me what to take off or anything. She told me leave my underwear on and lay on the table then ripped a hole for my face in the paper. I was ready to bale out but had hoped it would be a real therapist who would give the body massage. The same girl came in again saying nothing. I laid face down and she started to push on my back over the blanket. I thought my 10 year old gives a better massage what happened to oil etc. Literally pushing down on me through a blanket. I sat up and asked her if she went to school to do this she din't understand, asked if she had a license she walked out came back with receptionist who I asked to see her license she said she forgot to bring it with her. I asked for a manager or owner she said was the manger. I said then you must know that license must be posted and that a person claiming to be a therapist must be licensed. I told her I was reporting them that clearly this person was not a therapist. I was more stressed and my foot was burned, she apologized offering me a gift certificate I couldn't believe it. I felt bad for my "therapist" and foolishly left $10. for her to give to her. I doubt she will ever see it. I didn't call anyone as it was the weekend. I will make a report now. I will also note that during the time I was there I watch two gentleman at different times come in and a women from the back would come out they seemed to know each other they would go to the way back.Yes this is true! Yes this is true! I sent a email to Groupons and never heard anything. Decide to finally write a review when it popped up as a recommendation. Rockland County needs to investigate this place. It obvious the pop up of all these good reviews are from them. As after I left I read others having similar experiences. Groupons should not do business with them. They need to be closed down!
