WONDERFUL service from start to finish! I wanted to treat my best friend for her birthday and we were both HIGHLY satisfied!! We recommend Ben Ben and plan to come back next time I am back in town! Let me start by saying that: the reception area, massage room AND bathroom were all VERY clean and sanitary! Very important to me- Especially during COVID! I am aware that NY has different masking requirements but our therapists DID wear masks the Whole time!! :) The ambiance was VERY peaceful right down to the mellow background music that was set to a perfect ( to me at least) volume. I came with my boyfriend at 6:30 for an hour and a half couples massage. He has never gotten one and I had never been to Ben Ben so I figured we go together. I had Jack, he doesn't remember the name of the woman he had. His experience he said was wonderful. He was a little thrown off that they were thorough during a full body massage (thighs, calves etc) but he wasn't uncomfortable. He said he almost fell asleep because he was so relaxed. He had an awesome first experience.. Jack was great and I never felt uncomfortable by any means. I know someone else mentioned that their arms were lifted above their head and they were exposed. That didn't happen to me, I would suggest moving the blanket closer to your chest so that doesn't happen. I wish they used the hot stones a little longer. Personally, I thought they did a good job but it wasn't the most amazing massage I've ever gotten. I would gladly return though! I visited BenBen twice in the last two weeks. I needed a massage for stubborn neck pain. The first time was great, Jen concentrated on my problem area. Tonight it was also a great experience, Jen wasn't available but the lady was also nice and pay special attention to my problem area, without me saying anything. I came to Ben Ben Foot Spa this evening, a lazy Monday. I have been meaning to come to this location for a while, enticed by the $28 dollar 60 min foot reflexology special. I did my due research and I was happy to see good reviews for this unassuming location tucked away on Middletown Road. Today it was $30 but my feet were aching. I walked in at around 08:35 and was quickly greeted and set up for my massage which started promptly at 08:50. The beds are sectioned off with curtains and the spa is dimly lit with relaxing music playing. The Good: The entire experience was a delight. For $30 I got the foot massage and then some. My massage therapist started with a mini back and head massage. She went on to the feet which was soothing and included hot stones! They massage you over a towel, which I approve of for those body conscious. Leaving, I felt so relaxed and limber. The Not So Good: Honestly I have nothing to say. My therapist was sweet and committed. A minimum $10 tip is required which I think is more than fair! People may have their issues with that but I feel that is fair considering the time spent and attention. Overall: I will be back for more certainly! Maybe once or twice a month. My foot ache has dissipated and I am so relieved. Gentle but firm massage and I will be a repeat customer. They offer more than just foot massages though and again their prices are more than fair considering a massage starts at $60 in most places in Rockland County and beyond. read more

I did enjoy the 1 hour foot reflexology.... my therapist used the right amount of pressure and did check with me if it was ok. This is the first place like this that I've been to where they actually spent time on my ankles! (Yay finally!) She also applied pressure to my calf muscles and not pressed down along the bone as they do in the two spas in New City. I wasn't bothered by the small curtained off areas but wish there was better continuity of service - she did have to stop quite a few times to either get or return something. It wasn't horrible but it would've been nicer without those long pauses. The one thing that did put me off was the sign on the desk stating that there was a $10 gratuity on any hour-long service. Most would miss that coming in so beware! For a $28 service, that would mean a 35% tip!!! I always tip over 20% but I found it outrageous to be forced to give this gratuity. As another reviewer stated, this amount should be decided by the customer based on the service given. If you want more money, then raise your prices. So I would've given more stars for the reflexology but you've lost me with the forced gratuity. read more

I will not be going back here!!! I left feeling very uncomfortable and ripped off!!! 1. I asked for a 30 minute massage and they gave me an hour massage and made me pay for it 2. They require you to tip $10 on an hour massage that cost $40 so they are making you tip more than 20% 3. The man that massaged me pulled the towel passed my butt and exposed my butt and pulled my underwear partially down and kept adjusting my underwear throughout my massage which I've never had happen before and made me feel uncomfortable 4. The massage itself was not great and he kept stopping the massage to go leave the room to get supplies i.e. Towels and oils (which smelled unpleasant) 5. As I finished my massage and was walking back to the front to pay, a customer was waiting for his massage and thought I was going to be his masseuse and he made some very inappropriate comments towards me in a sexual content and not one of the workers or manager sad anything to him I figured I would try this place bc it has great reviews and it's close to my house and was very disappointed! This was my first time at Ben Ben. I was recommended to go by a friend. When I had already been laid on the massage table a male masseuse walked in. I was upset that I was not pre-warned that a male was going to massage me, but I figured let me give this a try. The massage was going okay until about the 45 minute mark where he was stretching my arms and then tricked me to put my arms behind my head and he scooped his arms into my arms and lifted me up off the table in a "Superman" position. My breasts were exposed for him to see, and I was mortified that he had tricked me into this position. This is my body and I have the right to it. He should've never done what he did to lift my body off the table exposing my breasts. He was an older Asian male my whose name I didn't get but I heard that his name could have been "jack". They said there were no girls available, however I called hours before and was guaranteed a women. During my massage I felt drops of water on my back, turns out it was the masseuses SWEAT dripping from his face on to my back. After the massage I've been sick for two weeks with flu like symptoms and sores . As my masseuse had difficulty understanding English, he couldn't understand the areas I told him to avoid during my massage. Needless to say, he massaged areas I did not want touched. Despite sub-par service, I gave a 15% tip for mediocre service but was publicly shamed for not giving at least 20%. Things you need to know: an appointment is not necessary but they are busy, we had to come back a couple of hours later, this place is clean but it's no frills so don't expect a spa experience, the one hour foot massage is WORTH EVERY PENNY because they actually wind up giving you a short full body before and after your feet, a $10 gratuity per person is expected so have cash. If you're looking for a painful reflexology foot massage, this is the place for you! Do they understand English? No. Do they go softer if you ask? No. 60 minute foot massage was really only 30 after they give you a nice head, shoulder and arm rub. Be careful and learn from my mistake. In the past, I would have given this place a rave review, but after my last visit there this past Sunday they will never get business from me again. I went pay and the owner told me that the minimum tip was $10, when I was tipping over 20 percent. I was embarrassed in front of other patrons and explained to her that she cannot force me to leave any amount as a tip is optional and I was already tipping over 20 percent. If they want more of a tip, then I think they should charge more. I don't think it's okay to attempt to force someone to tip a certain amount let alone in front of other patrons. read more
