This was the last stop on my 2 day vacation before we went home…read more It was a Very big park with a lot of different attractions and exhibits and other things to see and do! My friend and I went on a few of the rides. They're definitely a lot of fun when you're able to get on them! Very fun and enjoyable experiences! The workers are very good at what they do as well! Very friendly and professional! They were kind enough to allow my friend and I to stay on one of the rides when there was no one else in line, even on a Saturday! We also went to many different exhibits, like the shark area and the sea lions. They were all really cool to see and watch swim around. My friend pointed out for many of the animal exhibits that they were way too small for the animals and could be problematic, leading to things like stress and negative behaviors. While I'm not too sure about all of them, some of them I definitely agree with, like the sea lions, the sting rays, and the lions. There was a few attractions that were shut down that was very disappointing to see, especially the otter enclosure which was one of the main things I was looking forward to. Overall, it was a nice experience with a lot of fun things to see and do. I wouldn't recommend going on a weekend if you want to go on the rides as hour + long lines started appearing everywhere after about 2 or so, I'm still surprised our line was empty when we went on the water ride when we did! However, even with that, I still recommend this place for sure! But I hope they will give those animals some bigger enclosures someday.

I'm more zoos national parks, and museums than a theme park guy. Good things; Theme Park Rides: All the rides we went on were great( we went on a few of the smaller rides( Monkey Business and Thrilla Gorilla) as well as the water ride (White Water Safari). It was awesome plus at Water Safari they had a good walk in drier that got most of our closes dried off. Animal Attractions; The Shark Experience was a cool aquarium space with a nice tank for several shark species. Me and my friend had a lot fun going through it. Rainforest Trails was a beautiful greenhouse full of dozens of different types of butterflies. It was so beautiful seeing them flutter through the mini jungle. Aside from the sloth habitat being a bit small it was a good attraction. Among the most impressive habitats we saw was the cheetah habitat, there was plenty of space for the five cats on display with some extensive view of the enclosure. Very beautiful. Improvement needed: In there Marine life area all the animals we saw( California Sea Lion, Harbor Seal, Stingrays, and African Penguins) could us some new, expanded habitats. They all appear like they were built back in the 1980s and need to be updated. While at the Stingray touch pool I saw multiple individuals that appeared to have injuries on the side of their fins from with each other or from rubbing against the side of the pool to much, I am not sure. Many of the larger animals( Lions, Cougars, Wolves, and Giraffe) could definitely benefit from larger and more natural habitat similar to those at nearby zoos such as the Oakland Zoo, San Francisco Zoo, or Sacramento Zoo. I was a bit disappointed with these habitat after seeing those that house some of the smaller animals that live at the park (Rainforest Trail, the Cheetah habitat and Shark Expeditions. I can understand that theme park rides eat up a lot of cost but the animals could use some bigger habitat spaces Over all I had a good time but I hope the animals I mentioned get better habitats

Overall I personally would not wait more than 40 mins for this ride, because on days where the park is empty, you could get on in under 20. Something I would recommend is if there's only 2-3 people in your party and the line is super long, just go to the single rider line (on the left side when you enter the ride line) - who cares if you don't get to sit RIGHT next to your friend haha, don't wait an hour plus for this ride. The best thing about this ride is that it's a LONG one - I think it's like almost 3 minutes so it's worth your time, and it's a pretty fun floorless roller coaster that has a lot of twists, turns, and upside down moments. Very snake-like fitting for its name. Super smooth, NOT rough like Kong (the worst ride at this park LOL). Definitely this ranks as top 2 roller coasters in this park for me (the first one being Joker). The only con is it does occasionally have technical difficulties, but they usually get it up and running again in 10-15 minutes. Also has a dippin' dots close by haha.

You launch forward and then momentum slows down, and then it speeds up again as you go backwards, upside down - I think the scariest part is that because the momentum does slow, you are literally hanging upside down for parts of it and definitely get a head rush. It's a newer ride that came out in 2012 ish. The only unfortunate thing is the wait can be long, since it only runs 1 car that fits one group of people at a time. The ride is pretty short though, about 45 seconds ish, so it's definitely a fast one. It's also a strict no bag ride, and I've witnessed someone's phone fall out of their pocket during the upside down portion -so I definitely recommend keeping your hat, sunglasses, and phone in the cubby space they have next to the car near the exit after the ride. The one thing I don't like is the line waiting area is often super wet on the ground with lots of puddles and stagnant water regardless, definitely will be back, and its proximity to Joker and Batman make it really easy to just add in to your park itinerary

I think my aging body has a harder time riding rides like these and I prefer actual "roller coasters" like Medusa and Joker. If you ride in the seats facing the dolphin area (facing RIGHT when you are looking at the ride at the entrance of the line), I feel like it's way scarier LOL. It's just so spinny (and I think you swing more if you and your seat mate are heavier maybe? Someone who's good at physics pls weigh in). I felt like I had to close my eyes to not be so scared haha. I would say this is worth going on if the wait is shorter than 15 minutes, otherwise I don't love it. Also I would recommend not wearing sandals to the park because they do make you take off slides flip flops if you're wearing them (since your shoes would probably just fly off with all the rotation), but sometimes after raining, the floor below this ride can be very wet and have lots of puddles (so good luck getting off without getting your feet/socks wet lol).

Superman is the other one and I personally think that one is better than The Flash, but that does not mean The Flash has no presence in Discovery Kingdom here. It reminded me a lot like the now defunct Deja Vu in some ways.
