Not sure the hype of this place. I'm sure it is the best in town. Arrived early, no signage visible from road. They open 5pm. Did fill up quite quickly. I ordered the prime rib, probably the worst I've had. It had so much fat, hardly any edible meat. Comes with ajus sauce. The sweet potato fries were very tasty. My MIL wasn't impressed with her meal either. Probably the best of the three meals was my daughters kids meal. She loved the mac and cheese, the pretzels and package of Scooby Doo fruit snacks. They also charge for soda pop refills. I travel so much, small and large cities/towns. First restraunt I've seen charge for a cola refill. We drove 110 each way to this place. I definitely would drive that far to the dish room in Burlington, CO...but not this place again. read more

So of course I had the steak the steak sandwich with curly fries and it was amazing as always. Monica the server, who always has a smile on her face, informed me that at night after 5 pm they can serve rib-eye steak any size you like because the cut the steak per order! Is that not amazing! That is why the steak sandwich is so amazing because this is the place to come to if you want steak. Let's also talk about a small detail that I think is actually a big deal. They do not water down the ranch dressing here. It is so think you could stand a fork in it. Thank you for another amazing meal. read more

For a small town, this place was awesome! Working in town for several days I ate a couple of meals here and was not once disappointed. The cobb, the pizza, the fajitas, and the steak...all amazing! We've been hunting in Benkleman for over ten years and have always loved eating at Zeke's down off main--but the Skyline is great because we can just walk from the Circle B. Service is ways great, staff polite, and food as good as anything I've had around Denver. Steaks are great--steak sandwich is awesome for the price. Best restaurant within 200 mile radius. Service is done right. I've had just about everything on the menu and never been dissapointed. From hamburgers to steaks, from pizza to sea food. My fiance and I live in Denver and were visiting family for the Holiday weekend. We stopped by the Skyline Grill to check out the new digs. I will have to say I was blown away by the quality of food, the service and the lovely decor of the restaurant! I had a Philly Cheesesteak and it was amazing! This place is actually a treasure for a town the size of Benkelman. If you had stumbled upon this place while just passing through you'd say wow. A newly built modern looking restaurant, a trained chef/manager, and a menu beyond bar food. They have a few creative appetizers, a variety of steaks, and several sandwiches, salads, etc. everything is pretty good, really good for a small town restaurant. Couple of things though; the menu could use an update. I don't think it's changed since they opened. The wait staff seems more diner than Steakhouse. But those are small gripes. It's really the nicest place within a 50-mile radius and worthwhile to try if you're anywhere close. read more

What a great restaurant. We ordered the skyline burger. It had a great sauce and was delicious. It came with sweet pickles on it which wasn't the best but still good. The side of mashed potatoes were also good. We also orders the black and bleu salad. The steak on the salad was cooked perfectly. The wine infused pears were a little strong but the garlic "chips" on the salad were different and also delicious. Would definitely recommend this place. While in NE over the weekend we had dinner here Saturday night. First, the wait was insane, like a minimum of an hour I think. After we were seated it took 15 minutes before someone came and asked us what we wanted to drink and take our order. It then took another 15 minutes to get our salads and our food arrived almost an hour after we were seated. The kicker was for the price of the food which is premium, the portions were way small. I had chicken fried steak and it came out on a lunch sized plate? I did not get full on it which is a first having it with mashed potatoes and gravy. Service was horribly slow and very unorganized in all phases here we noticed. You have to go up front to pay your bill where no one was around to do so. Finally had to flag someone down to pay our bill. Also, the salad and rolls that came with our dinner were pretty average. A very nicely built place but the service here is way below average. read more

This is just what Benkelman needed! The service was good and the food was great. Service was quick and friendly on a Saturday night. We had 2 small kids with us and they had some fun stencils, paper and pencils to keep them occupied. I was also very impressed by the quality of the kids meal for the price. read more

Had waited about a year to come here because I'd heard the prices were steep. The prices turned out to be very reasonable and the food was excellent. I got the chicken-fried steak and my wife got the prime-rib. Both were excellent. Service was good..atmosphere was pleasant. read more

Very disappointing. Had heard great things, but received a waitress with an attitude, when one of our party asked if she had a recommendation between two dishes she replied with a snarky laugh and said "those are totally different things, you have to decide what you want" & shortly after there was an altercation before our meals arrived, where they were very rude and we all wanted to leave, but we decided to stay because we had already driven out of our way to eat here. After that, we received two of our meals so overdone they were inedible by our standards, and we let the manager know when she walked around and asked us how our food was, and instead of offering a re-make or a discount, she simply said "okay." Very disappointing for somewhere that you pay $29 for a steak. Will definitely NOT go back, and will for sure spread the bad word to others. Terrible experience and absolutely rude customer service. read more
