I am totally disappointed in the Skyline on Rt 125 and 10 Mile. The food is inconsistent. The 3, 4 and 5 ways almost never have the proper amount of chili on them. Tonight, 4-16-26,I ordered a large juicy 5 way with onions on the side.. What I received was a 4 way. The onions were on the side but no beans. I always pull off about 25% of the spaghetti on the large so I get the proper chili/spaghetti ratio that I like. Even after reducing the spaghetti the amount of chili was ridiculously low. I know I did not receive 8 oz of chili on this order which I was told was the amount in their large ladle. Corporate Skyline should audit this location for proper procedures on a regular basis. I ordered a cheese coney (no onions or mustard) and the chili cheese fries. The hot dog bun was a little hard, but the hot dog and chili were good, and the cheese tasted fresh. The chili cheese fries were a bit soggy, and the texture of the fries threw me off a little. The service, however, was excellent. Our server stayed on top of everything -- drinks, taking our order, refills, and checking in to make sure everything was to our liking. Skyline Chili's famous three way has been rated by USA Today the top regional fast food in America....two years running! Since Skyline has a few clueless detractors I'm going to tell you what Skyline Chili is and is not. First, Cincinnati chili is not a meal in itself, a meal you would eat as a stew all by itself in a bowl. Cincinnati chili is more a condiment or a sauce. It enhances other food and takes it to another level much as a meaty spaghetti sauce does to plain spaghetti. A normal person would not want to slurp spaghetti sauce in a bowl all by itself. Nor would one expect to eat Cincinnati chili by itself. That is not its purpose. If you are looking for "regular" chili...more like a stew with large chunks of vegetables and meat...look somewhere else. Secondly, Cincinnati chili has more exotic ingredients among which are allspice, cinnamon, and sometimes chocolate. This is chili handed down by Greek immigrants. Third, the Cincinnati chili hotdogs are found in a steamed bun. The dogs are specially made to agree with the chili sauce. They have no hard casing and have no "snap." I recently saw some numbskull on YouTube who reviews food around the country complaining that the Skyline hotdogs had no "snap." That shows just how clueless he is. The last thing you want in a Skyline chili dog is a hard casing around your dog or a greasy hotdog. Yuck! For people with the acquired taste the Skyline three way or four way or five way and the Skyline chili dog are pure heaven. Today in Amelia my three way was wonderful. The very thinly shaved cheddar cheese was great on the dish and the Cincinnati chili was fabulous. I rate it an "A." The chili dog was delicious also. Yeah, they're a little on the small side and one can eat three or four of them, but they are so good. Rate them an "A" also. Today the restaurant was really hopping, but the service was quick and the waitress pleasant and efficient. A great experience for fast food. I cannot think of another fast food restaurant I would rather go to. I rate this fast food joint FOUR AND A QUARTER STARS...that being the highest rating I've ever given a fast food restaurant. One of the worst skyline's in all of Cincinnati. Every time I rarely eat there it's a let down . Its consistently bad , who ever owns it or has been running it for a while sucks. They give old chilito's they keep luke warm in tin foil. We frequently visit usually always in the evening and it's great. Evening servers are always genuine and friendly because they enjoy the job. Stopped today for lunch and ordered our typical orders but when the server who seemed to be pretending to be nice the whole time brought the bill my child's items were all rang in separately instead of how it usually is being a kids meal (he's 3) I asked her genuinely confused if what he ordered was the same thang as on the kids meal just without a bun. She responded "technically yes" as she shrugged her shoulders and said "I can change it if you want me to" I said no it's okay and she walked away. I was going back and forth with my little one telling him to eat his food and she came back with a new bill loudly announcing "here's a new bill I changed it and it took off $1.48" I said oh okay thank you and attempted asking her for a box for my little ones food and she walked away ignoring me completely. Location is great and night shift is nothing shy of a pleasure to dine with but this day shift could use some work. I really like this location. They have a convenient drive thru (I actually have never been inside). They are quite speedy even if there is a line and they have never forgotten any aspect of my go-to order which is a large 5 way with habanero cheese and a large sweet tea. My mother and I have been regulars here for years. This was our first time having issues at this location. We walked in and were greeted by more than 3 employees telling us to sit anywhere we like. They were really busy and there was only 1 booth clean that was a larger one for 6 people. We sat down and watched as 4 other new tables came in, ordered, and received their food. Multiple servers looked at us and just kept working. Obviously no one knew who was supposed to wait on us. We decided to leave and no one even noticed that we didn't get service. We went to the Eastgate location and got great service. That may be our last time at this location. It will be for a while for sure. read more

I had a bittersweet experience today. I gave four stars because usually I come here and have no problem, however the young woman that took my order at the drive thru was not the nicest today. Firstly, as I ordered at the speaker, after every item I announced she responded with "anything else?," which led me to feel slightly rushed. Once I proceeded with my third item she responded with my total. The question that ran through my head was - what if I wanted more? I shook it off. Shortly after, I arrived at the second window as no one occupied the first window, which was not verbally established at the drive thru speaker, as would be preferred. I waited about 5 minutes, which was no problem for me. The transaction occurred in few words, as I was not greeted until my food appeared to be ready and the 5 minutes were concluding, nor was I asked if I wanted crackers or hot sauce. They gave my wife and me Dr. Pepper instead of Diet Pepsi. I told the waiter it tasted like cherry. He brought us two more glasses of the same thing. We told him again it tasted like cherry. He got angry and said, "We don't have Cherry Pepsi." I took the two glasses over to the manager. She said the same thing, and in a particularly hostile way. Both the waiter and the manager told me that they don't drink pop. I said you could smell the cherry. She sniffed the glass and nastily said she didn't smell it. I told them to taste it. The waiter poured some pop out of a different dispenser and said it tasted fine. Neither of these clowns seemed to know that Dr. Pepper looks just like Diet Pepsi but has a cherry flavor. When born and raised on Skylne Chili, you learn which stores have the best and which ones don't meet the mark. The Skyline in Amelia has been a favorite of my family and mine for years now. It's close to home and always offers a friendly staff. I also have to give this Skyline my own "Most Improved" award. For a few years the restaurant always smelled of cleaning product and was quite humid inside (to the point where the windows were foggy) and its chili was not at its peak. However in the past few months this location has taken a turn for the better! I'm pleased to say this Skyline now lives up to the memories of my favorite childhood restaurant! This is the location I now take all of my friends from out of town when they come to visit! A great place to share and make memories with those you care for. read more
