Turns out not everything did fit - about 20 boxes had to be left along with several loose items (step stool, vacuum, etc.). I am having to make a return trip to Florida with a rental truck to go get the remainder of our items. I called the company and asked for the owner to call me regarding this situation, and I never received a phone call. It is costing me money out of my pocket: a hotel room, gas, and my time to go get the stuff that they assured me would fit in the truck. It was a definite gross miscalculation on the owner's part. In addition, we sold two large dressers and an ornate saddle that we said we're going on the truck so we should have freed up quite a bit of room and it still didn't fit. (We did not add anything to the move once the estimate had been done.) The next issue was with the deposit - after the owner came and gave us the estimate, he asked me to stop by the office with a credit card to pay for 50% of the move. I went to the office and my credit card was declined twice - no idea why. At this point, I wrote them a check. When I returned home, I called the credit card company who assured me that the charges did indeed go through, and I was given authorization numbers for the charges. They said the charges absolutely did not go through, but as soon as I got my credit card statement, I looked and sure enough, we had been overcharged twice as the two charges did go through. The way this was handled seemed very much like a scam. Company did refund us for the amount of $3000 - the money came out even in the end. The good things I have to say are that everyone in the office is extremely nice and things were addressed in a timely professional manner. The people that actually physically moved us were wonderful and were compensated generously for the hard work that they did - they sent a good moving crew.

Did 2 hours of work and did everything I needed and gave much needed advice on picture placement etc. Honest, helpful, brought all the supplies that were needed to do the work specified. Gave me other peoples information for electrical work, and new flooring. I am in the process of getting pricing on replacing old carpet with new wood flooring. Comparing options. Austin is very easy to work with and certainly likes helping people. Excellent attitude, and would recommend highly.

The…read moreworst experience was Armstrong Movers who left us with unpacked boxes so as to catch their plane, This recent move we paid FL Pro $2,800. to pack and unpack (I found some unpacked boxes stacked in back of walk-in closets) they moved us across town to another assisted living apt. I packed up all our breakable antiques except 2 pieces of English art pottery. They were a 12" high Baby owl and a baby raccoon. I found them on the floor unwrapped with a bunch of pictures (we also have found the glass on some of them broke). The ears on the raccoon were chipped they allowed me $25. credit. Most of the power cables on printers, computer and lamps were pulled out and not packed with the device. They came back and found one of two I could not find. I found the last one today. They are very friendly but the young men are either poorly trained or do not care. Of course we find that in all lines of work nowadays.

They forced me into a cancellation just to get my money without doing any work…read more About 8 months ago, I signed up for their service, chose a date, and provided my bank information. I was told it was only needed as a backup in case anything happened. At the time, I was in a tough situation and needed to move quickly. On the scheduled move day--a Friday--my job had an unexpected delay with my paycheck, and I wouldn't be paid until Monday. That had never happened to me before. I thought everything would be okay since they already had my bank information. I called them right away, explained the situation, and asked if they could simply withdraw the payment from my account, since by the time it processed, the money would be there. They refused. Instead, they said I had to pay with a debit or credit card that same day or cancel--and if I canceled, I'd be charged a cancellation fee. I was shocked. Given my situation, I was practically begging them to just use the bank information they already had. I even spoke with a manager, who told me I had to cancel and that they would charge my bank account for the cancellation. That made no sense to me--they could use my bank account to charge a cancellation fee, but not for the actual service? Then Monday came--and they didn't take the cancellation payment. Weeks went by, and I assumed at that point they would send me a bill. Instead, without any notice, they suddenly withdrew the money--right when I was again just days away from payday. I was already living paycheck to paycheck, and this pushed my account into the negative and caused overdraft fees. I called every number I could find for Two Men and a Truck to try to resolve this, but no one was able to help me. I don't expect charity. But everyone goes through hard times, and if a company already has your bank information and plans to charge you anyway, why not work with the customer instead of putting them in a worse situation? To me, it felt like they just wanted to get paid without doing the work. The cancellation fee was just 160, and all of these months later it still bothers me. Thank God i'm in a much better place, and it's not about the amount, it's about the lack of care. I had heard for years about two men and a truck. I thought they were reputable people. But I was wrong. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

They put tears in three leather chairs, dented a desk, a wall unit and broke the mirrored doors on a cabinet. She sent someone to fill in the dents on my desk and one wall unit and did nothing to fix the tears in three chairs. She even accused me of damaging my own chairs. I advised her I had video of all the furniture before it went on their truck and then she stopped accusing me. She did not repair the mirrored doors on the other wall unit and it is costing me $665 to repair them. She stated they pay $.60 per pound for the damages done. The chairs weighed 19 lbs, 19 lbs, and 31 lbs. The mirrored wall unit was damaged on two sections weighing 212 lbs and 106 lbs. She sent me a check for $41 which I returned since it is not close to the amount owed. 387 lbs. X .60 = $232.20. The $232 does not begin to cover all the furniture that was damaged due to carelessness.

I noticed what seemed to be dripped ice cream down the front of the fridge and opened the freezer (barely bc I immediately closed it shut from the stench!) to find it had broken and was horridly disgusting. I immediately called around to see if I could order a quick replacement fridge and haul away, but nothing was less than 2 days out and we didn't want the fridge sitting there in disgust waiting for a new fridge replacement. Thanks to Google one of the options for haul away in our area was Handy Arms Moving Services. I'm so thankful that I chose to call them. He advised they typically have a minimum 2-hour rate but given we just needed a single appliance haul away he would work with us. We're so glad that Jonathan said yes they could help and that he could come immediately.. Seriously.. he jumped in the truck and came immediately to our rescue. Jonathan and his son were extremely nice and professional. They immediately provided their ETA once we provided our address, and they provided another update when 5 minutes away.
