    I was terrified LMAO
    Natasha C.

I had an amazing time Skydiving with Skydive Philadelphia. My group came 30 mins late and they still were able to take us. I had a coupon and they honored it for everyone on my group. The guys and gals made us feel so comfortable which we needed since it was everyone's first time. Pictures and videos came out great and I will be going back. The only issue I encountered was trying to actually book. I got two different answers on availability when I called. If you can book online, I recommend that and have everyone in your group put down thier deposit.

I can't understand why people on here can't understand that the jump is contingent upon the weather. They are very careful and focused on safety, which I completely appreciate. One of their guys were telling me that he went out on a cloudy (not dark clouds, just a lot of them) day. He went through a massive cloud and when he came out the other side (since he couldn't see), he had gotten too near his height to pull the parachute. That kind of stuff makes me happy that Skydive Philadelphia considers among other things. Anyway, onto the experience. I've had to go back 4 times to get a jump, but it was so worth it. My instructor knew I was nervous and actually joked/made fun of me the whole way up, which was so helpful and relaxing. The flight up was just a bunch of us joking around and laughing. When they opened the door after the green light went off, I didn't even have time to think. It was step up to the line, knees bent, arms crossed and go (about 10 seconds). We spun in the air and had an awesome fall. After the parachute was pulled he did some intense turns (for a first timer). I was very happy with my experience here and bought a returners package of $129 (including the extra 25 seconds of free fall) with $25 down that day. These people are so nice and friendly. I will return. Oh, another thing, if you book for a weekend, try and schedule early. They can get a little backlogged (usually caused, depending on the weather). My jump was at 9 am.

    Whooo!

Skydive Philadelphia is great! The staff on ground was incredibly knowledgeable about the happenings of the weather and wind currents and storms and whatnot. We have had to reschedule a few times which would have been easier if we had smaller groups but nonetheless, they were as accommodating as possible within their means. As for the jump, BEST THING I'VE EVER EXPERIENCED! I have jumped two times now, both with Skydive Philadelphia and I can't wait to go again. My first time I was placed with Matt D. as tandem instructor and he was so incredible that I requested him for my second time this past weekend. I have to admit I was worried about forgetting what I was supposed to do but Matt simply told me the steps as I needed to know them which allowed me to enjoy my jump free of cares. The free-fall itself is the best part, I highly recommend paying the extra $10 to go big, it's dumb not to. As for the rest of the ride, up in the plane and down with the parachute, Matt was able to point different landmarks out and answer any dumb questions I had which was wonderful! As for the landing it was smooth and controlled enough to land standing! The other instructors I was talking with also seemed to enjoy their job. It was unique that they came from all over the world including Chris who my Mom and Boyfriend swear by and requested for their second time as well. I also have to note to ignore the dirty comments of people that weren't happy because of waiting or lack of food. You are waiting for your safety, and you signed up to skydive, not to have a picnic. The one time we did wait longer, we were provided with a list of food in the area and they told us to go and we could call and check in on the weather. I will absolutely be going again and as long as I am in the area, I will no doubt be jumping in Perkasie again!

Bought a deal through LivingSocial and have to say that I am really pleased! Matt D was my instructor and was awesome to work with. One tip would be to book for the first appointment, I hear wait times can vary. Also, be mindful of the weather - they wait until conditions are safe. The jump was exhilarating and definitely worth doing at least once in your life. Bring a group of friends, some snacks, and have a blast!

My friends and I purchased a Groupon for a tandem dive at Skydive Philadelphia. The initial scheduling was a bit wonky; my friend had called in to schedule our jump but was often put on hold and disconnected. We finally were able to arrange a date and time after a few more calls were put in. The jump itself was by far the most terrifying and exhilarating thing that I have ever done in my life. I would give this portion of the experience a straight 5 stars. My instructor Chris was a super chill & scruffy Australian man who made me feel comfortable despite the fact that I was freaking out about jumping out of a perfectly functional aircraft. The free fall was crazy and the parachuting was awesome even though my stomach almost couldn't bear Chris swirling us around in the air. Pro-tip: Prepare for some crazy intense cotton mouth when your parachute goes off and you're done screaming your head off. It doesn't make for good photos :-P. Unfortunately, aside from the jump itself, I wasn't a huge fan of the in-person customer service during the check-in process. The girl at check-in wasn't terribly clear in answering our questions regarding ordering jump photos but they have a flyer downstairs that states the prices. I'll save you some time - essentially you are 3 options. 1) GoPro (handheld by instructor) Video Footage $75 2) GoPro (handheld by instructor) Photography $75 3) Separate Diver Video Footage $100+ I wasn't quite sure if the check-in girl was intentionally trying to upsell us the #3 $100+ option or not but she kept stating that they didn't have enough staff to shoot the handheld GoPro footage but then when we were handing in our paperwork downstairs, the other rep told us that there wasn't going to much of a difference in wait time for any of the 3 options. Needless to say, the staff needs to work on coordinating their communication with customers. Also while handing in our paperwork, I was somewhat irked by their constant push for us to do the "Go Big" for an extra $15 option. The Go Big is where you jump at a higher elevation and have a longer free fall time - my one friend decided to go for it but myself and my other friend opted to stick with the 9000 feet drop. It was just somewhat annoying that even after telling them we were fine with our package, they kept pushing the GoBig over and over. In any case, we spent a total of 2 hours at Skydive Philadelphia...I spent most of it as a nervous wreck but hopping out of that plane and into the clouds was definitely one of the most awesome things I've ever experienced!

They told me I would get an email explaining what I need to bring and wear "in a couple of days". Five days later, the day before my jump, I hadn't gotten the email. I called and the girl told me they sent the email. I told her I didn't get it. She said she'd send it right away. 2 hours later I hadn't gotten it. I called again...3 times. No answer. I called a few more times and got another girl at 2 pm. She said they send their emails at 2:30 the day before the jump (that's not what the other girl said). I waited until 3. No email. I called again. This time the girl said their internet was down and they'd email me as soon as it was working again. I very sternly told her to give me the info over the phone because I have no faith that they will send it. This company is so unprofessional and disorganized. I haven't jumped yet. I really truly hope the people flying the plane and jumping out with first timers do their job better than the people in the office. By the way, their website does not tell you what you need to bring. Maybe they should just put that info on their website so they don't have to go through "all the trouble" of sending emails. Clearly sending emails is too complicated for them. Do yourself a huge favor. Book your jump with some other company. These clowns don't deserve your business. I wish I could get my money back. Guess what? They don't give refunds! Run run run to some other skydiving company who will actually take the time to explain what you need to know so you can enjoy your jump AND have what you need so you can actually go through with the jump.

This was my first attempt and I think it was good for a height-phobic person like me to not have the option of standing on a separate ledge and deliberately jump. In the plane here, you kind of just tip over the edge, and that has to be initiated (thankfully) by your tandem instructor. Those 60 seconds of free falling were the longest of my life, I couldn't wait for the parachute to open. My heart was in my throat, I was wriggling like a cockroach, and I couldn't breathe because of the air pressure assaulting my face. CAUTION TO THOSE WITH PELVIC PAIN: as soon as the parachute opens, the pelvic harness tightens up considerably as you're basically vertical, being completely supported by the harness. You're "hanging by a thread (aka harness)". Think about how that would affect you during and after the activity, since I was in pain hanging vertically in the air. It made it tough to enjoy the slow gliding in such a beautiful weather. Pancake advised that I try and reposition myself so as to almost sit within the harness but I couldn't manage that. The staff is nothing but incredible, they ensure as much safety as possible, and the environment is so Hollywood-y with these sporty gals and guys preparing to jump one after the other from the plane. You can't help but feel the thrill of being surrounded by adventurers. I would like the option of a face shield and/or helmet for tandem jumpers like us so we can enjoy that free fall sensation without struggling to breathe. Also the videography package is worth it!

It was as fun/nervous as expected but what I'm gonna tell you here was the video taping service that I bought. Worst $100+ ever spent and I think I'm gonna dispute it. I don't wanna start with how unprofessional the guy who took my video was - especially comparing to the one who took for my friend. Well I'm assuming you are supposed to catch as much valuable moment as possible since it's the first ever skydiving experience for most of the people who order the video taping. The guy named Kramer didn't pay much attention to me he held the camera in his hand without turning it on most of the time! The most upsetting part wasn't even that. One month after the jump, FOUR calls asking for the tape, I still haven't received ANYTHING. I called and called and called everytime they say they are sending it to me but never received. Oh and I forgot to mention after the jump the guy ( in my case Kramer) should ask me to put my address on the envelope for him to send it. HE FORGOT. Seeing my friend being asked to sign did I know that I was supposed to put mine too....maybe that also led to the missing of my tape. Or he never taped. Overall very upset experience. This is not something you do every weekend. Most of the people only do it once in a lifetime. Avoid this place. Go somewhere else.

The location is great, with rocking chairs and a great view while you wait for your plane. The only downfall, is that you have to check in and may have to wait for 2 to 4 hours before it is your turn to get suited up and get into the plane. While this is probably normal and it was reassuring to see that so many people were in line to do this at this location, it definitely gave you way too much time to get anxious and worry about what you were about to do! The tandem jumping instructors and the photographers were all very professional, kind, and entertaining to work with. I'm looking forward to going back for a second jump in the Spring!

The feeling is BLISSFUL. This is free fall and all you can do is appreciate this minute in a state of pure joy. It's awesome!!! If there's anything skydiving does, it opens up your world and makes you consider the possibilities. Skydiving is so much more than an adventure. For many, it's a life-changing experience! So above was my experience, now coming to this establishment (Sky is the limit) As it was COVID time, they check your temperature, make you sign 10 pages waivers ( including COVID one), you pay the amount at their counter (which has no shade). Then you wait for your instructor to call your name and then you wear the gears. On their website and also when I called they said, the jump would be from 13000 feet height. I was under the impression it would be 40-50 seconds of free fall following by 4-5 minutes of para-gliding. Lots of people mentioned the same in the review as well. But sadly, it was not the case with me. Was I disappointed after landing? Yes, feeling of free fall, rushing to earth 120 Miles/hr, all is okay but it was ended in 3 minutes. Freefall was hardly 20-25 seconds and 3 minutes of paragliding. The weather was good, it was not windy or cloudy. I don't care they took me to 2 seater plane which took 30+ minutes to reach an altitude of 10000 feet. All I wanted was, what they claim or promise, my 50 secs of free fall and 4-5 min of gliding. I Paid 225+95 (Video) for this and the whole experience was very short. I feel like cheated. When I further researched, got to know, people who are Groupon customers, they get a service like this (short height jump- short time duration). My 2 star is only for a short duration of the whole experience. The service was good, my instructor was good. No issues in that. Coming to photos and videos, they were not satisfactory. 5/10 on that.
