It breaks my heart seeing some of these unhappy reviews. I can't speak on their experiences but I can certainly speak on mine. Years ago, I came to this drop zone because not only was it closer than the other one I went to, but it was also a lot more professional and focused on the sport rather than the frat house culture you can find at other DZs. The folks at skydive Philly helped me learn a lot and aided in me getting my A license. I ended up having a baby and could no longer afford to jump and was also having personal issues that were hindering me from pursuing my passions (not because of my child ;) he's a blessing). I just came back to this DZ to show my son the planes and show him where I used to go for fun. Aaron (the guy who runs the business) was there and he remembered me after 6 years!! He was SO sweet to my son and me and it meant the world. He welcomed me back and gave me all the information and support I needed to get back into the sport if I desired. He was so encouraging and understanding. The staff here, even after all this time, remember their students and care for them. It made my day and I'm so sorry for anyone that can't see how great these people are. Please understand skydiving can be SUPER frustrating because it's all dependent on the weather and sometimes plans have to get canceled time and time again. Try not to get mad at the staff for having to cancel a jump. read more

We literally showed up with a group of 6 people had an appointment! Some tall, balled guy was really ignorant and Rude to our whole group & elderlys! They accuse one person in our group of smelling like marijuana! (NOT TRUE) We literally showed up with our three small children and our elderly sick parent to do our bucket list! This place was very rude and inconsiderate, accused us of being on drugs! There Other employees said we look totally fine and smelled fine. They didn't understand where he was coming from. Dude literally kicked us out and said get out of here. Have a good day. So we decided to go to Garden State Sky Diving, right after! They opened us with hugs, drinks and positive vibes! It was way cheaper! They took you higher & let you jump farther and didn't charge you an extra like the Philadelphia skydiving place! Garden Sky made you feel like family and welcomed us with . We will be going back there weekly. Everybody run away from Philadelphia skydiving unless you like getting treated like a POS! Garden Sky went above for our elderly parents and for my 40th birthday party! Also, they were glad to entertain our children, and they also were dog friendly with their own dogs to greet you with love & joy! Totally different atmosphere night and day! We are actually debating whether to put a lawsuit on the Philly people for discrimination! The 1 person they accuse is the one person that didn't sign their $50,000 agreement if you sue them you will owe them $50,000 regardless I politely asked the Rude guy at the Philadelphia skydiving who he thought was under the influence or looked under the influence? I tandem jumped today for the first time at Skydive Philadelphia and it was amazing! I went by myself because I couldn't convince anyone to come with me and was nervous it may be weird doing it alone. The staff were all extremely friendly and I didn't feel weird even a little bit. I paid for the deluxe package so I had my instructor and a camera man jump with me. My instructor was Nicolas and he was amazing. He explained everything after getting me harnessed and then again as we were getting ready to do things which made it so nothing came as a surprise ans helped calm any nerves. Aaron was my camera guy and he was also amazing. I usually hate being on camera but wanted the experience since I was going alone. Aaron was engaging and did it in a way that I didn't feel weird on camera. They both also were very positive people which calmed my nerves immensely and made my experience one I'll remember for forever. My first disappointment in engaging "Skydive Philadelphia" was uncovering the laughable farce that they're anywhere near the city. It's in the hinterlands of something called "Perkasie", a one-horse town so remote that Trenton NJ is actually closer to Philadelphia (map it and see.) Claiming it's anywhere near Philadelphia is like calling the Grand Canyon a New York attraction. But the disappointments were just beginning... After waiting some time the rude cashier responded to our inquiries with "You'll be waiting a while so get used to it." When we asked why they muttered "winds." After waiting hours a young member of our group asked if there was anywhere nearby to eat and was shut down with, "You leave, you lose your jump." I asked about receiving a rain check: "No." I asked if they knew when we would have our jump: "No idea." I asked if we could have a refund: "No." Finally I requested the manager and a balding man with a bad comb-over appeared wearing a soiled onesie. He said, "I'm busy what's your problem?" I sighed and simply asked for a refund. While walking away he said, "If we gave everyone refunds we wouldn't be in business." An outcome as inevitable as it is deserved. read more

Have to agree with everyone saying about the cancellation policy. It's like they enjoy canceling because of "weather." Cancelled two previous times on us, but we called before driving down. This time, you can't get better weather. Drove an hr and a half to sit here 5 hrs (so far). Didn't even warn us that there was going to be a delay. The instructors though are great. read more

I had an amazing time Skydiving with Skydive Philadelphia. My group came 30 mins late and they still were able to take us. I had a coupon and they honored it for everyone on my group. The guys and gals made us feel so comfortable which we needed since it was everyone's first time. Pictures and videos came out great and I will be going back. The only issue I encountered was trying to actually book. I got two different answers on availability when I called. If you can book online, I recommend that and have everyone in your group put down thier deposit. read more

Skydive Philadelphia - I was terrified LMAO - Skydiving Near Me - Perkasie, Pennsylvania

I can't understand why people on here can't understand that the jump is contingent upon the weather. They are very careful and focused on safety, which I completely appreciate. One of their guys were telling me that he went out on a cloudy (not dark clouds, just a lot of them) day. He went through a massive cloud and when he came out the other side (since he couldn't see), he had gotten too near his height to pull the parachute. That kind of stuff makes me happy that Skydive Philadelphia considers among other things. Anyway, onto the experience. I've had to go back 4 times to get a jump, but it was so worth it. My instructor knew I was nervous and actually joked/made fun of me the whole way up, which was so helpful and relaxing. The flight up was just a bunch of us joking around and laughing. When they opened the door after the green light went off, I didn't even have time to think. It was step up to the line, knees bent, arms crossed and go (about 10 seconds). We spun in the air and had an awesome fall. After the parachute was pulled he did some intense turns (for a first timer). I was very happy with my experience here and bought a returners package of $129 (including the extra 25 seconds of free fall) with $25 down that day. These people are so nice and friendly. I will return. Oh, another thing, if you book for a weekend, try and schedule early. They can get a little backlogged (usually caused, depending on the weather). My jump was at 9 am. read more

Skydive Philadelphia is great! The staff on ground was incredibly knowledgeable about the happenings of the weather and wind currents and storms and whatnot. We have had to reschedule a few times which would have been easier if we had smaller groups but nonetheless, they were as accommodating as possible within their means. As for the jump, BEST THING I'VE EVER EXPERIENCED! I have jumped two times now, both with Skydive Philadelphia and I can't wait to go again. My first time I was placed with Matt D. as tandem instructor and he was so incredible that I requested him for my second time this past weekend. I have to admit I was worried about forgetting what I was supposed to do but Matt simply told me the steps as I needed to know them which allowed me to enjoy my jump free of cares. The free-fall itself is the best part, I highly recommend paying the extra $10 to go big, it's dumb not to. As for the rest of the ride, up in the plane and down with the parachute, Matt was able to point different landmarks out and answer any dumb questions I had which was wonderful! As for the landing it was smooth and controlled enough to land standing! The other instructors I was talking with also seemed to enjoy their job. It was unique that they came from all over the world including Chris who my Mom and Boyfriend swear by and requested for their second time as well. I also have to note to ignore the dirty comments of people that weren't happy because of waiting or lack of food. You are waiting for your safety, and you signed up to skydive, not to have a picnic. The one time we did wait longer, we were provided with a list of food in the area and they told us to go and we could call and check in on the weather. I purchased a 2-people jump pass on Groupon for this place. Once I called to schedule a jump, I was informed that the pass cannot be used on weekends. This was never mentioned on Groupon or their website. In order to book an appointment on a weekend, I'd have to pay an additional $50 or something like that. I scheduled an appointment for a Thursday at 9 AM. That morning I was driving from center city and about 20 minutes into my drive, it was raining. I tried calling the center multiple times for the next hour and half but they did not answer the phone. They called me back when I was 10 minutes away from the center and said that I should just arrive anyways and wait. I did ask if I should go back and they said no. After I arrived, they told me they were cancelling operations. Of course they couldn't make the decision earlier even though they knew it would rain since the previous day. I rescheduled my appointment for the following Thursday. There were no apologies for the inconvenience. The day of my new-scheduled jump, I called ahead of time to make sure the weather was good. They said they were performing jumps but were expecting winds to go up later. I asked if I should reschedule and they told me to come because they couldn't make a decision. I drove 1.5 hours again only to be told that they were on a weather hold. It wasn't even windy.... And if that wasn't enough, the screen of their waiver iPad wasn't working properly and changed my answer for a medical question from no to yes. They then told me I had to get a note from my doctor even though I told them I had no problems. I was somehow able to get a doctor's note on such a short notice but the manager said that they wouldn't accept it because my doctor didn't specifically mention skydive even though he said i can participate in ALL physical activities. I asked to reschedule and they said they couldn't because I would need a new doctor's note first. I left the facility and will be stopping my payment for the place. Their professionalism is awful and I do not recommend this place to anyone. read more

Had a great time skydiving for my first time today with Chris, honestly Chris was a fantastic instructor. Made the whole experience so much more enjoyable, insured that this would be the best experience ever and it sure lived up to it. I opted to GO BIG and it was definitely worth it, the free fall feels like your up in the air forever, although I had did have some ear pain after the jump, Chris gave me some tips to get my ears to pop and all was good! You may have to reschedule a bunch of times but I'll tell you from a first hand experience it was all worth the wait! read more

I am never skydiving again. Ever. BUT, if I had to do it again in Pennsylvania, I'd go here. We were supposed to do tandem jumps on Sunday but were delayed because of weather. The key is to call the day before and a few hours before you're scheduled. If they're wary about the weather, you might as well not make the trip. Luckily, Monday was a clear day and we got there, got suited up, and jumped within an hour and a half. The safety video...is this a joke? Dude with a ZZ Top beard talks about the dangers of sky-diving...looks like Al Queda. We barely paid attention to any parts except for him because we were laughing so hard. Maybe it's meant to lighten the mood. So...my skydiving experience? I survived. I was the 2nd to jump and I wasn't like the rest of my plane-mates who were chipper, excited, and happy. I was clutching the sides of the plane and eventually my instructor's legs, clawing him throughout the entire ascent. We bought the "GO BIG" option which I could've killed my boyfriend for...I didn't want to free fall out of a plane in the first place let alone get an extra 45 seconds in...but everybody else said it was worth it. The jump out of the plane takes a second...I think they pushed me out sooner because I was screaming "OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD!" over and over. But you squat down, cross your arms, head back and they do a "1-2-3". I just remember squatting. My free-fall involved me silently staring, terrorized, until the chute came out. I think maybe during one part I thought "ooo cool"...but mostly it was blank stare. Don't buy skydiving as a gift for somebody who isn't ecstatic for jumping out of planes. Just a tip. And take immodium before you go here if the notion of death brings on severe diarrhea...they only have port-a-potties. read more

My friends and I purchased a Groupon for a tandem dive at Skydive Philadelphia. The initial scheduling was a bit wonky; my friend had called in to schedule our jump but was often put on hold and disconnected. We finally were able to arrange a date and time after a few more calls were put in. The jump itself was by far the most terrifying and exhilarating thing that I have ever done in my life. I would give this portion of the experience a straight 5 stars. My instructor Chris was a super chill & scruffy Australian man who made me feel comfortable despite the fact that I was freaking out about jumping out of a perfectly functional aircraft. The free fall was crazy and the parachuting was awesome even though my stomach almost couldn't bear Chris swirling us around in the air. Pro-tip: Prepare for some crazy intense cotton mouth when your parachute goes off and you're done screaming your head off. It doesn't make for good photos :-P. Unfortunately, aside from the jump itself, I wasn't a huge fan of the in-person customer service during the check-in process. The girl at check-in wasn't terribly clear in answering our questions regarding ordering jump photos but they have a flyer downstairs that states the prices. I'll save you some time - essentially you are 3 options. 1) GoPro (handheld by instructor) Video Footage $75 2) GoPro (handheld by instructor) Photography $75 3) Separate Diver Video Footage $100+ I wasn't quite sure if the check-in girl was intentionally trying to upsell us the #3 $100+ option or not but she kept stating that they didn't have enough staff to shoot the handheld GoPro footage but then when we were handing in our paperwork downstairs, the other rep told us that there wasn't going to much of a difference in wait time for any of the 3 options. Needless to say, the staff needs to work on coordinating their communication with customers. Also while handing in our paperwork, I was somewhat irked by their constant push for us to do the "Go Big" for an extra $15 option. The Go Big is where you jump at a higher elevation and have a longer free fall time - my one friend decided to go for it but myself and my other friend opted to stick with the 9000 feet drop. It was just somewhat annoying that even after telling them we were fine with our package, they kept pushing the GoBig over and over. In any case, we spent a total of 2 hours at Skydive Philadelphia...I spent most of it as a nervous wreck but hopping out of that plane and into the clouds was definitely one of the most awesome things I've ever experienced! read more

This place gave the worst possible customer service I have ever experienced. I ended up getting a refund and going elsewhere (Skydive Jersey - its amazing and highly recommended!) because they could not get us up in the air here. I understand that skydiving is contingent on weather but we attempted to dive 6 times and were turned away each time. On the most beautiful days we were told that it was weather. Once we were told that it was malfunctions with the plane (not very reassuring!!!). If other people didn't post on here that they actually dove I would be sure this is a scam and that they don't even own a plane. While we were waiting to skydive the multiple times we went, we met handfuls of other people who were on their 4,5,6th attempt (like us) and kept being sent away. I have yet to meet one single person in real life who had a good experience here. I met plenty who made the drive up and never jumped. On top of the lack of actual skydiving that was happening, their customer service itself was awful. The paperwork girl had absolutely no clue what was going on and was incredibly disorganized. They werent very friendly to begin with and they were never very sympathetic about turning us away, EVEN when it was for the plane malfunctions. Potentially worst of all, the scheduling service was outsourced to another incredibly disorganized company called RushCube based out of Georgia (or something) that had very very poor communication with the actual skydive facility. I spent literally hours on the phone with RushCube trying to organize our jumps (SIX TIMES) and waiting on hold. More than once RushCube told me we were scheduled and good to go, only to have someone from the actual skydiving facility call us and say that time didn't work for them. AKA back to square one with waiting on hold to speak to a RushCube human. It was incredibly frustrating. Don't just take my word for it. There is a reason they only have two stars compared to Skydive Jersey's 4.5 stars. Be smart about where you jump out of a plane from! Getting a refund and going to Skydive Jersey was the best thing I have ever done. Upon arriving at Skydive Jersey it was immediately clear how much more organized and friendly they were. We arrived at 8am and were back on the ground celebrating our first dive by 9:45am. We will be going back there for sure!! read more

The group on certificate was going to expire they would only extend if we drove (1 1/2 hours one way) and cash in. Unfortunately, when spring came we misplaced voucher. We called and they knew we did not use voucher by their system but would not honor the $300 voucher without hard copy. The manager was very condescending. Okay, I totally understand the bad reviews but I think there needs to be some explanation. I purchased the whole skydiving package with my best friend two summers ago while they were having a special deal (a tandem jump, photos, and a professional video all for $275). After purchasing the package and setting the date of our jump I assumed that it would be that easy - show up on the day we scheduled and jump. When we got there the sky was beautiful, blue, and clear, but it was too windy and they had a hold going. We waited around for 5 hours and never got to jump. We had to schedule jumps 8 more times and wait around all day every time before we finally got to actually skydive (a full year after we had originally bought the package). I think a bunch of the people who have written reviews on here had a similar experience and that's why the reviews are so bad. What needs to be understood is that skydiving is all about risk, but it's measured risk. The pros that work here aren't going to put their lives in any extra danger and I'm so glad they weren't willing to put mine in any extra danger either! Yes, it's frustrating to know that scheduling a jump doesn't necessarily mean you'll get to do it that day but that's just the reality of the situation. When I finally did jump last August I had a better experience than I ever could have imagined. I might be an adrenaline junky, but ironically enough I'm also kind of a chicken. I got the best pro (I feel so bad that I forgot his name but I remember he was Australian!) and while he was suiting me up he was joking around with me and making me feel right at ease. I was telling him how I wanted to be the first one out of the plane in passing so he made sure we were the last to board (which means we were the first to jump) and made it happen! On the ride up my best friend and I were both basically saying "what have we done?!" Because the door to the plane, which I was right next to, is basically just covered with this clear sheet of plastic that slides up and down so I could see the ground shrinking below us the whole way up. But my instructor never even let me feel scared and he and my videographer just kept joking around with me the whole time. [As a side note, when you do a tandem jump you're gonna have to sit in your instructors lap on the plane so he can buckle and strap you in and then for the rest of the ride he'll basically be straddling you. I'm not a shy person so I was totally cool with it, but be forewarned that you're gonna get real cozy with the pro you're jumping with.] When we reached our jumping elevation he stood me up walked me to the door, and before I even realized what was happening we were hurtling through the air! My best friend and I both decided to "go big" (you pay an extra $10 bucks cash the day of the jump and get extra free fall time) and it was so worth it. Once the parachute opened it was so quite and peaceful and my pro was pointing all kinds of stuff out to me! It was a clear day so we could see both the Philly and New York skylines! He even let me steer the parachute and taught me how to do these crazy spins that were honestly scarier than the free fall! He kept joking with me the whole way down making it such a fun and carefree experience. Needless to say I was on an adrenaline high the rest of the day and if I ever save up enough money I will definitely be skydiving again!!! read more

While I'm not a fan of skydiving, we all got to do it once in our lifetime right? My friends and I bought a groupon for skydiving and had to make reservations. Even though we had to reschedule another date due to weather (it was raining like crazy on the day of, and I really don't need millions of tiny bullets piercing through me when I free fall). So after 2 months, my friends and I finally returned and it felt like ultimatum. We were told to arrive at 9am because of the paper work and "training" session we need to take that can be around 2 hours long. We walked up to the second floor and started filling out the paper work, while filling it out there was a video playing in the background about the experiences of past jumpers. Once the paperwork was done (took less than 30 minutes) we were told to head on downstairs to get our weights recorded so they can find the right person for you to tandem with (basically they need to know the weight to balance it out when you're in mid air). After that, outside we go and waited for our jumping "partner." My guy was named Chris, really cute accent. He got me strapped into my suit and told me we will be the second group that's going to jump. Truth be told, I'm nervous as heck, I didn't really want to jump but my friends bought the groupon without my knowledge - what a surprise! Chris tries to ease my nervousness and made small talk with me (which I really do appreciate). The take off, I admit, was scary. It was a small plane and when we were about 12,000 feet in the air, Chris said we were ready to jump. I went first out of all the people on the plane. Insanely scared and freaked out (good thing I didn't show much emotions) we jumped. Holy...it was actually quite an amazing feeling. We soared through the air and landed safely. Chris was really professional and catered to me, I like the scenic route and he even showed me a rainbow that reflected off of the clouds from our parachute. Would I do this again? Probably not but I wouldn't technically say no. It was indeed the craziest thing I've done and I don't regret it at all. read more

I made a reservation through Groupon, but was told upon arrival that I couldn't jump until Aaron, the manager, had received his payment from Groupon. There were several other people there at the same time with the same problem. Nevertheless, he made us ALL pay out of pocket, and at a rate inflated above the Groupon cost. Again, everyone there had gone through the proper channels. This place is a scam. This was terrible service, and wasted several hours of everyone's day. Extremely unprofessional guy; steer clear of these guys they are not good to do business with. If you have used Groupon to schedule with these guys, call them and they will cancel your deal. My jump was great and safe, but these folks need some organization and customer service training! Booking my jump was a nightmare- I kept calling and getting voicemail, leaving a message and getting no call back. Finally I contacted GroupOn and then the folks responded. Due to weather, our jump was postponed. When I called to rebook my jump I was put on hold.... for 46 minutes!!!! At no point did they tell me how long the wait would be. Then, 2 weeks before our scheduled jump, I get an email telling me I am jumping "tomorrow". I called and confirmed that I was jumping in 2 weeks. They said it was their error. The email was not sent BCC, so my email address was sent to all the people on the list. While on the phone I asked about a place to change into my jeans for the jump and the man said they had no changing rooms. I said "Well I can change in the bathrooms?" He said "Umm, well I guess." Only when I got there did I discover the "bathrooms" are port-a-potties. (Thank goodness for tinted windows on my car!) The email said that the check in time was 1pm, but you may have to wait SIX HOURS OR MORE for your jump but you can bring your laptop because they have free WiFi. What they failed to tell us was: (1) You will be outside, mostly baking in the sun during the wait (2) There aren't enough chairs for everyone to sit, since many people bring families to watch (3) They sell water bottles, but no other food or beverage is available (4) You will be asked to pay $10 for a higher/longer jump and $69 or more for a video. After about 3 hours waiting, we were called into the office. We thought it was our turn to jump but it was only time to pay for the video! We asked "How much longer" and were told "at least another hour". When we came out of the office, we had lost our chairs to a group of children who had come to watch their parents jump. The "30 minutes of instruction" advertised in the GroupOn was more like "3 minutes". The guy I jumped with "Rom" was obnoxious, but unlike another reviewer, he did stop all the spinning and dips when I said I was feeling nauseous. Given the number of people I hear who get nauseous or sick on the jump, I am surprised they don't sell/recommend Dramamine, Ginger Tablets, wrist-pressure bands or Motion-Eze. To cap it all off, when the jump was over, we waited for our video. When we got home, we discovered we had someone else's video. We called and they said they would mail us the correct one, but it would take 10 business days!!!! I would love to jump again, but I don't want to deal with the folks at this place ever again. Went here for a skydive on 9/1/13 and loved it! I went with my dad (the skydive was his Christmas present). We had been rescheduled 2 times already due to weather, but can't do anything about that. The facility isn't the greatest in terms of accomodations (no snack machines, port-o-potties), but if you read reviews ahead of time, you can handle it. The 1st time we were scheduled, it was cancelled before we even got there (they called us). The 2nd time, we spent the whole day waiting, only to be canceled (but weren't shocked, as the email sent 2-3 days ahead warned us of the wait time on weekends). Prior to the first scheduled day, I looked up reviews and planned ahead - got some picnic food together, a pop-up tent and chairs. No problem. The 2nd time, we took all this stuff with us and the time passed like nothing because we were having a good time regardless. As for jump day, we got there and signed in/completed paperwork @ 800am, jumped by 1030 and LOVED IT! Brian was my jumping buddy and he did a great job. There were a few clouds rolling in, but we were still able to do the "Go Big" option, and it was totally worth it... what a rush! We purchased video/pic packages, and they turned out great as well. It's a once in a lifetime type of experience. My friends and I arrived around 9:30 and it took about an hour to finish the legislation paperwork and wait for our turn. I especially felt safe having my tandem jump with Matt Decesare. He was so cheerful and encouraging me the whole time we were on the plane. Matt was knowledgable, so I had a very enjoyable jump. The free fall was scary as heck but an awesome experience. Once the parachute popped out, I had a chance to enjoy the view. SIMPLY GORGEOUS!!! Love the view. I would suggest Skydive Philadelphia to my friends and definitely go for another time once I regain my gut. read more

Like others here there is nothing good to say about trying to schedule jumps with SkyDive Philadelphia with a GroupOn. I have sky dived before and the experience was great. During the summer and fall I tried 6 times to schedule a jump and here is what happened. 1 time the weather was bad. Rainy. 2 other times the weather was very nice. Partly cloudy skies with a light breeze. They said they were not jumping because of poor weather. 1 time the day of the jump they called and said the plane was in for scheduled maintenance. How would they not know that before scheduling the jumps? 2 other times they said they had no times for 3-4 weeks. So now I am stuck with two expired GroupOns that only have their dollar value. I would never buy one from there again. If you want to jump, SkyDive Jersey is what I have used before and would recommend if you aren't too far. read more

I have always wanted to try skydiving at least once in my lifetime. Always something I had on my "bucketlist" of things to do. This was by far one of the best experiences in my life. There is nothing like it. I had Matt Delesare as my instructor and he was amazing. From the moment he got my gear on and explained exactly what would be happening in the air, to singing who knows what song on the plane ride to relax everyone; he definitely made it a fantastic experience. I went with a group of friends and we all had a fantastic time. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone considering skydiving in the future. Our wait time wasn't bad at all. Did my first tandem jump ever this morning. First of all, it was amazing! Definitely an exhilarating experience. The facilities leave a bit to be desired (i.e. porta potties only) but the jumpers are great guys! I was paired with Ales, who explained everything to me in a very simple manner, making me feel comfortable and at ease before the jump. He, along with the other instructors, were competent and friendly. Our appointment was at 8 AM, which is when the airport opens, and we were in the air around 9:15 after watching the video, filling out the paperwork, and being fitted with our gear. The company offers a jump from an extra 5,000 feet for a mere $10 - I highly recommend this. The free fall is the most exciting part and this adds a decent amount of time on to that experience. I'd also recommend getting there early in the morning because if the weather clouds up, your jump can be cancelled at any time. Even though I had a 5:30 AM wake up call this morning, being the first person (I was actually the first) to jump of the day was great. read more

Woo hoo! The experience was tons of fun. I bought the tickets through Living Social, and due to weather, I had to change my reservation a few times. The staff was very friendly and professional. The day of the jump was perfect - barely any clouds at all. The facilities were sparse (but clean). The introductory video was narrated by a spectacularly serious and bearded man. The jumpers were knowledgeable and professional and did their best to relax their jumping partners once they strapped on the harness. The jump itself was perfect - it was just over too quickly!! The view was 'meh' (green, flat fields, a power plant and waaaaaay off in the distance the philly skyline). However, while falling from an airplane 12,000ft high, you don't much care about particulars of scenery. Would do it again in a heartbeat. read more

Skydiving was the best life decision I ever made hands down. And Skydive Philadelphia was AWESOME. I think a lot of the bad reviews on here are from people with bad weather hold experiences. I know that my best friend and I were put on weather hold at least 5 times in the past year and didn't get to jump until today, but honestly, I think that the fact Skydive Philadelphia wouldn't send us up unless they were sure it was safe says so much about how great they are. I never felt like I was in danger at any point, which made the experience a 100% positive one. On top of how safe I felt, I had SO MUCH FUN, probably because my instructor, Chris was the BEST! Obviously I was freaking out a little on the plane but his jokes at light-heartedness relaxed me and had me laughing the entire time. He and my videographer, Matt, made me feel so safe and excited and made my jump so much better. On top of that Chris was able to point out tons of cool things from the air like the Manhattan and Philly skylines (so cool!!!!), AND he let me steer the parachute which was one of the best parts of the entire experience. I thought I was going to be terrified but Chris made sure that the only things I was feeling were sheer excitement and elation. Obviously, I got the professional video and I'm so glad I did. Matt did such a good job that I've already watched the video like 20 times and made all of my roommates watch it with me the second I got home. He got such awesome shots from the plane and of my free fall on top of keeping me pumped on the plane. In short, skydiving was the most INCREDIBLE thing I have ever experienced and I know I would not have had as amazing a time as I did without Chris, Matt, or Skydive Philadelphia!!!!! read more

I am leaving a 1 star review to get attention to the crappy RushCube Company that handles reservations. I called the phone number on the skydive philadelphia website. You don't actually people to people at Skydive Philadelphia. Your call is routed to georgia, to a place called RushCube. They answer the phone as skydive philadelphia, but they are just a booking agency. They also add 50% to your price of extras. The standard handicam video costs 120 dollars. At the drop zone, the video price is 75 dollars. WTF right? They called it a promotional price. What a ripoff. The tandem jump was 217, the discounted promotional overpriced handicam video was 100. The go big was an extra 15 dollars. That being said, the people at the perkasie airport were very nice, albeit totally swampped with people. If you have questions, you better hope you get a nice person, or a lul in the jumps. I did have fun, But once I found out I was cheated with the reservations, I'm dissapointed. Worst company I've ever dealt with. Had to reschedule our jump multiple times over 4 years!!!!!! We got scheduled for a beautiful day, make a 2 hour drive over and they say we are having plane issues and we cannot jump. We get a raincheck and try scheduling it again and the weather is no good. Asked what happens if the weather is consistently bad before the rain check expires and they said WE WILL LOSE OUR MONEY OR HAVE TO PAY ANOTHER $360!! OVER $300 OUT THE DRAIN. UNBELIEVABLE. Absolutely amazing experience! I'm a bit of a thrill seeker and this was one hell of an adrenaline rush. I would definitely recommend Skydive Philadelphia! I saw a Living Social deal a few months back which led us to Skydive Philadelphia. We made our reservation a few weeks ahead of time and booked our arrival time for noon on a Saturday. The woman that made our reservation was friendly and informative. A day or so before we went, we received an email with all the details. They advised us that we could wait up to 4-6 hours in the email so we came prepared to wait. We also called ahead of time to confirm weather conditions and see if they were running on schedule (they recommended this when we made the reservation). Luckily, we had a beautiful sunny day and did not have to deal with the weather issues some other reviewers wrote about. When we got there we filled out the paperwork and watched a short safety video. Then we headed outside to the picnic tables to watch other skydivers come down. There was a pizza place near by so we brought over a pie and had lunch while we waited. Lucky for us, we were up in the air by 3. All the staff were great and hilarious. I felt safe in the hands of the skydiving pro Matt D. who also filmed a stellar video (totally worth the extra 70 bucks). While strapping me into the harness, Matt went through some of the details of how to jump out of the plane and fall safely. The free fall was the best part. Weather permitted us to go for the "Go Big" option to add on time to the free fall. Once the parachute was opened, Matt handed over the steering to me at one point and assisted with doing a few 360s. The landing was safe and easy. Kudos to Matt for getting me down 12000 ft in one piece! read more

This place in my opinion deserves no stars!!! First, let me start by saying that if your in a business where you have to wait for good weather conditions in order for your clients to jump and there's a possibility that they would be waiting for four plus hours you might want to mention that they should bring something to eat or drink especially, since they don't have any vending machines or near by restaurants. My niece and her bestfriend booked their jump here and been rescheduled twice now; which is understandable due to their safety but, what bothered me was after filling out some legal forums, going over some paperworks and watching a short safety film they had us wait over 4 hours without any clue what we were waiting for. I expect that if the weather conditions were not good they would at least inform us!!! After, waiting in a room full of people I decided to go downstairs and ask the staff what was taking so long and thats when they told me that they don't think anyone would be able to jump today!!! Ugh....really??? So not one staff member thought of saying anything to us within' the four hour stretch from our appointment time? So yes, we were all kinda annoyed! Okay, so that's one complaint I have for this place. Another complaint I have for this company was when we were upstairs in the waiting room they were teaching a group of future assisted jumpers or instructors whatever you want to call them. Now, if you have your clients wait for four - five hours do you really expect them not to talk or entertain themselves? I just think that if your trying to teach a class you should teach them elsewhere where they can focus without interruptions (since they will be dealing with peoples lives here) or at a different time where your company should be focusing on your "PAYING" clients. The last complaint I have is port-a-potties really? You would figure that they would at least invest in a actual bathroom for their clients. Especially, since I'm guessing the thought of jumping out of a plane would make someone want to use the bathroom let alone actually being so close to doing so. Okay, maybe I'm being a little harsh and feeling a little aggravated not only because we had to wait for four plus hours but because we had to drive nearly 2 1/2 hours to get to this location. Meaning on top of the 9am appointment we had to wake up really early just to make it on time. And to be not informed what was going on and to be told to lower our voices because they were teaching a class was a little bit upsetting. I called on August 5th, 2018 to get some more information about possibly going skydiving. The woman on the phone was nice and explained how it would work, asking if I wanted to purchase tickets. I agreed, gave her my card over the phone and boom. $634.98 for two tickets and two videos. Not too awful. I get the email confirming my purchase through a company called Rushcube. I had never heard of it, but the woman on the phone purchased the tickets through them, not me. We go five days later to jump and my boyfriend's license is a couple months expired and I apparently need a doctor's note to dive due to my depression. Annoying, but fine. I get the note. Now there's a different rule suddenly. Ok, here's a new note. They're apparently out of season and I'll have to get a new one to them when they reopen. Ugh. Fine. I called this past week to see if I could bring someone else instead of my now ex-boyfriend. The man on the phone asks which company my tickets have been purchased from and lists a couple. I recognize Rushcube, tell him that and he proceeds to tell me that he thinks they're out of business, so they would not be able to honor my tickets. Said I should try and get a refund through this out-of-business company. First of all, I did not choose to purchase my tickets through this company. They purchased them for me. Second, I was at the drop site, signed all the waivers and was moments away from jumping when they tell me I need a doctor's note. So you'd have to think that if they were going to let us jump, they had our money already, right? Third, the company is out of business, and is not able to take phone calls for refunds. I filed a complaint with the BBB, but I was not the only one. At the end of the day, Skydive Philadelphia has screwed me over and is refusing to accept tickets through a company THEY used and won't give me a refund. Horrible, horrible company. First time reviewer here; my experience was so negative that I signed up for an account to share. The tl;dr version: terrible customer service. A group of 20ish of us bought dives for last fall. We live about an hour and a half away from the center, and, after reading advice from various sites, scheduled our jump very early. Upon arrival, we filled out paperwork and watched the video. Several hours later, we were informed we wouldn't be able to jump due to weather. This happened a second time, in the spring. The third time we drove out, were were able to jump - however, despite having 10:00am appointments on a Wednesday, we didn't jump until about 1pm. I want to be very clear here: I completely understand and endorse the safety precautions this facility takes, especially with regards to weather; obviously that comes first. That being said, there is a customer service component to this experience, and the customer interactions here were horrible; the way they kept us up-to-date about possible delays was deplorable. The individual at the front desk (receptionist? manager?) was frequently brusque, rude, and uninformative regarding what we were supposed to be doing or when we would be jumping. It seemed to us that he purposely obfuscated key information ("Our team is taking a lunch break," "there is a chance you won't jump due to weather, and we'll know more in an hour," "you may be waiting up to three hours for your jump - you may want to bring a lunch or reading material."). After the first time this happened, we asked if we could call ahead the night before or the morning of to confirm weather would be fine. The individual at the other end of the line refused to make a positive or negative prediction around the weather; I respect not wanting to make a predictive statement in case of error, but with a disclaimer, we would have really appreciated an expert's advice. It would have saved us close to 14 hours of scheduling, driving, and waiting around. I understand that, in a customer service role, sometimes you need to deliver bad information. Doing it with grace and tact is an essential skill, and that's not something this facility can claim to have. I bought photos as well; the disk they sent me had a single still shot from the ride up in the airplane. I've skydived with other facilities and had incredible experiences. If this is your first (or second, or third, or whatever) jump, I do not recommend starting here. Working with this team has been nothing short of a disappointing and infuriating experience. If I could give zero stars, I would. I am incredibly disappointed in the customer service. My boyfriend spent $300 on groupons for us to do this and I broke my wrist making it necessary to postpone. We scheduled within the timeframe of the groupon and due to weather, they cancelled our reservation which is fine. However, they can't get us in before the groupon expires and refuse to honor the groupon past the end date. I've used groupons many times and have never encountered this. I'm so disappointed in this experience and consider this extremely bad business. Very much hoping that groupon will refund our money so that we can go anywhere but here to try out something I've always wanted to do. read more

Rude customer service.I called on 8/8/12 at 12pmish in regards to the Living Social deal & inquired about purchasing the deal for mysef and as a gift for others,receptionist referred me to contact Living Social to answer my questions. When I said "I don't understand,I thought your business set the policy & would have the answers", she bounced me right back to Living Social & said "Get it?" No,I don't "get it." I purchased deals through Living Social & Groupon before & was able to call,ask questions directly & get prompt answers by the businesses,NOT Living Social or Groupon.I'm glad I was turned away by the lack of customer service.I read other reviews & am not in the boat alone--mind you,this business was in the news not too long ago for parachute malfunction.A lady ended up breaking her ankle/foot due to this. read more

The office staff = not that great...but OMG my instructor Ned and the whole jump experience was BEYOND!!!! I wasnt so into the free fall, its like trying to breath with your head out the window while speeding down the highway but DOUBLE the speed. Once the parachute opens AMAZING, Ned was amazing n kept explaining/pointing out different things to me. I would TOTALLY do it again. They told me it it usually takes 5 days for them to put together the video but he's the best and did it the same day. Overall amazing experience! Highly recommend it. Ps: there is no insane stomach drop like on a roller coaster like people think. read more
