It was amazing!!! Went here for my first tandem jump and it was seriously the most exciting experience in my life. The team here was kind and professional. John was my Tandem Instructor - he was caring and knowledgeable, and he did everything in his power to make my experience comfortable, exciting, and (most importantly) safe. Their location is also great - the view that you get to see at 14,000 feet is breathtaking! If skydiving is on your bucket list, I highly recommend this place, as I seriously can't wait to be back and do it again!

Props to my tandem instructor, Will Pesek, as well as the other 3 instructors jumping with our group. They were all super high energy, and made it really easy to lose the nerves and have an absolute blast! The whole team did an excellent job making sure safety was top priority. They explained in detail everything we needed to know about things like how to position your legs and head (but let's be honest, I was having so much fun that I forgot half of that stuff as soon as we jumped). Everyone on staff here was really friendly and helpful, too. All the gals in the office looked like they were enjoying their work. My only complaint is that we were waiting about an hour and a half after we checked in before we got up in the plane, but I think that's just the nature of the business. They do have plenty of shaded areas with outdoor seating for jumpers and spectators to wait, as well as easily accessible restrooms. I came here with my dad and brother for my bachelor party, not knowing what we were going to do that day, but I'm sure glad they picked this place. I'm definitely going to come back with the wife some time soon for round two.

Getting ready to jump - Multiple skydivers are seated inside a small aircraft, wearing harnesses and ready for a tandem jump, with some smiling and others looking out the window.

This was one of the best experiences of my life!! I had never jumped but the person who jumped with me was great at making me feel relaxed and confident!! Thank you!!

A woman and an instructor are skydiving together, with the woman smiling and wearing goggles, while the instructor is behind her, holding her securely.

In my 66 years of life this has to be my number one exciting experiences ever. I felt completely safe during the whole jump with my instructor Tim. I am definitely going to do this again. I have already recruited my son and daughter in law to join me on my next jump.

One of the best days of my life. Can not recommend this enough. All the staff were amazing. I jumped with Derek and he was nothing but kind, funny, professional. Zero awkwardness which I was initially a little worried about. Everything ran exceptionally smooth start to finish. Only advice I have is to be aware that if you want to do the photo/video it is cash only. Rates may vary with time but at the time I jumped it was $100 cash. Also after some of my own research I discovered skydiving is considered a service industry and therefore tipping if you have a positive experience is a good idea. Keep that in mind. If you have a good experience please consider tipping your partner. I saw small envelopes for this near the jump door. If you've ever considered skydiving I can not recommend this place enough as the place to start.

Really amazing people and experience here! I had Bret as a tandem instructor and he was awesome. I felt so safe with him. I still can't believe I jumped out of an airplane. So glad I did though! I think I'll eventually do it again. :)

My instructor, Tim, and I. Obviously we survived!

After seeing The Bucket List movie, I knew my first order of business would be to sky dive. Luckily I was able to get a group of friends to share in my terror. I'd told the girls we were jumping "The height of Portland City Grill", which is 536 feet, but was informed upon arriving at Skydive Oregon that we were jumping from 13,000 feet. That squashed the little bit of peace I had about it and made me anxious to get it over with. Our appointment was at 10 am, but the weather wasn't optimal. 4 hours later it was. Regardless of the wait, I'd rather be safe than sorry. Before jumping onto our plane, we had a short meeting with an instructor, to go over the jump details and get our consent form signatures (signing away our families' right to sue if you die is scary in itself!). We then met our tandem partners (the professional jumpers) and got all suited up. My BFF"s guy put hair into braids and connected them to her helmet, like Pippy Longstocking. I got the cool guy - who let me go glam, with my long air, as is. Once on the plane, our instructors got us into our positions by straddling behind us on one of the 2 benches and then connected our backs to their fronts. At that, we were in it for real! As we neared the 13,000 feet jump altitude, I started having 2nd thoughts, only I was too scared to voice that. Thank God! I had asked to jump first, to get to over with first, but I'd rushed onto the plane ahead of everyone, which put me and my instructor at the back. That meant my 2 friends were jumping ahead of me and I wouldn't know if they made it alive until I landed. A fun distraction was the photographer I'd hired to film me. MY BFF hired one too, so we got to ham it up, pretending not to be scared to death about leaping from a perfectly good plane. Sensing my fear, my instructor didn't say when we were going to jump, but just told me to put my feet on his. When I did - too scared not to - he stood up and pretty much bolted us to the door. We may have paused for a 2nd, but my eyes were closed. Only when we were free falling and my photographer - who'd jumped when we did - told me to open my eyes and smile, was I able to. I wasn't exactly thrilled about hurdling through a cold, damp abyss of clouds and swirling in space, but I faked it for the camera. My instructor tried spinning us into circles (not summersaults) but I freaked and yelled "Stop! I'll get sick!" to which he immediately stopped. Tumbling to the ground, I was not happy with my choice to do this and wanted back in the plane....until the chute was pulled. Strangely, the yank was exciting - and since we'd passed the clouds - we now I could see all of lovely Molalla, as well as Mt. Hood. I know it sounds weird that I preferred seeing the ground, but every inch closer meant I was going back to the safety of Mother Earth. Not at warp speeds. No, they can slow you down quite a bit, to where you almost feel like you are floating. Which my instructor did - in order to give me a 180 degree visual tour of the entire area. As we came down to land, the instructors have you raise your feet. That way, if anyone gets a sprained ankle, it ain't you. lol Safely landed, my instructor unhooked me. I then threw myself into the grass - unable to help myself from hug the ground. At the time we jumped, I wasn't stoked about my decision, but once landed, I was SOOOO glad I did it!!! I think every person should do something adventurous at least once in their lives. And if you are going to, I think this is actually one of the safer activities. trust me, I did my research!

Skydive Oregon is amazing! TREVOR was truly a great tandem instructor! I He walked me through everything making me feel safe and comfortable the entire time! He was determined to make sure I had a good time and he succeeded. This dude was so casual about everything and we had so much fun! I certainly suggest the video package the first time because the video and pictures turned out perfect! The girls at the front desk were nice and quick to get me on my way out. Only took 2 hours! I will be coming back and requesting TREVOR for sure! If you've ever wanted to go skydiving.... DO IT!!!!!!

I can't say enough good things about my experience at Skydive Oregon. My sister has been wanting to go skydiving here for years and this was the year we finally pulled the trigger. There was a group of 6 of us and everything from start to finish was beyond my expectations and very smooth. I jumped with Turtle and he was awesome! Made me feel very comfortable and safe. All of our instructors were really friendly and super amazing! They where the ones that really made this experience unforgettable for all of us!!! If you have been wanting to skydive go here I promise you will have the time of your life and walk away with a big smile. I will definitely be going back again!!!

Awesome team-building activity!…read more An amazing supplier sponsored this activity for my team, and we were so happy with the cleanliness, instructions, experience, everything. I highly recommend adding on the high fly, and taking advantage of the add-on flights as they're an amazing deal. I had gone actual skydiving and didn't know what to expect, but this was so fun. It was a great activity for even nervous flyers because they witnessed their teammates do it safely while they worked up the courage to do it themselves. Highly recommend! Chad, our instructor, was fabulous.

We are so glad we found a present our family loved!!! Some people can empathize with my plight -…read morewhat do you get for people that can pretty much get anything they want for themselves? Our only hope was to find something they had not yet found for themselves. Enter iFLY Portland. This place is really cool. You get to try "skydiving" without all the sticky wicket business of falling to your doom at roughly180 feet/sec. A giant transparent tube sits in the center of the building. Below a springy mesh floor is an enormous fan system that can be adjusted to an RPM adequate to create lifting body force. So long as you are below 270 lbs, you should be able to try this out. I saw some VERY healthy sized patrons take flight. Ultimately, our family lucked out. All the instructors are great. There is one gentlemen who clearly does this activity at a highly competitive level. I could scarcely keep up with his speed as he raced up and down the vertical shaft with the ease of a swallow. I guess our gift was a winner because no sooner had our family exited their session then they were signing up for another package (at a rather favorable discount). If you are looking for an exciting and safe indoor activity, I highly recommend iFLY.
