Skydive Delmarva was freaking awesome. I went there for my friend's 30th Birthday Party and it was an absolute blast. The price was totally reasonable for what you are getting, and for the level of expertise you are dealing with, especially considering that your life is on the line. I have wanted to go skydiving for SO LONG and I'm so glad this was the place we chose. The day started off with us getting there and having some time to kill before our dive took off. They have cool old couches, chairs, and benches that we were all able to hang out on and even pass out on for a few minutes here and there. The only reason I didn't give it five stars was because we had to wait for about 3 hours before our jump happened. That being said the wait was worth it, so I consider it a 4.5 star rating! We jumped Tandem, which meant we had a professional strapped on to our backs. My guy, Kevin, had been jumping since 1987. It should be noted that the first thing Kevin said to me was, "I will just say this: I don't buy dinner, and I don't give reach-arounds" This man knew the way to my heart. He was awesome :-) I do wish he let me steer a little bit, and pull the rip chord, because apparently some of my other friends in the jump got to do that, but that is totally small beans. The drop lasted 47 seconds, and I went up to 124mph. The descent was about 5 minutes. All-in-all, the 2.5 hour drive to Laurel, Delaware was 100% worth it. These guys are pros! They provide a thorough explanation, training, coaching and they do all the work to make your jump the most incredible experience ever! Not don't be thrown by the looks of the place or the plane. You're not there for aesthetics, you're there to jump out of a plane, safely. The instructors are wonderful!! The price is also quite reasonable, and highly recommend getting the photography package if this is your first jump. Have a blast! You won't regret a minute of it! I went skydiving here last Saturday the 13 of August and had a blast! Gregor and Tyler were my Tandem jump buddy and videographer. True adrenaline junkies. Skydive Delmarva was wonderful. I did a tandem jump and can't wait to go back and learn how to jump on my own. My tandem parenter had over 7000 jumps and made me feel safe, secure, and calm. There was a little bit of a wait, about an hour until I finially went up. I also splurged on the picture/video package and it was totally worth it. My camera guy was upbeat, fun and made the experience even better. The pictures are great! I left with a cd of pictures the same day. Waiting for the video to come in the mail. Just a heads up on the location. It is in the middle of cornfields. So don't think you'll be driving up to a typical 'airport'. Alot of the staff live on site out of campers and this gives the employees a tight, family feel. It's a very laid back crowd who takes their jobs and your safety seriously. read more

I've been skydiving at a few different places and this was a great spot. I liked that we jumped at 13,000' instead of around 10,000' at the previous places I've been. This means longer free fall (up to 60 seconds instead of 30). My tandem instructor was informative and brief (in a good way) without being boring once he learned that it wasn't my first time jumping. Funny guy, too. Forget his name (Tyler maybe?), but my group had a blast. Not 5 stars due to the price; $225 for a tandem jump is on the expensive side compared to the $180-$200 per jump I'm used to elsewhere. read more

I'd highly recommend this location. After doing much research on several locations in the DC Metro area, Delmarva seemed to have the best staff (friendly, competent and organized), best prices and the best video/photo package (both in price and quality). They also fly higher than most of the other competing companies in the area which was an added bonus. We weren't disappointed! The location is great - on a clear day you can see Ocean City, MD and the Bay-we were able to see as far as Cape May, NJ! Our wait was only about an hour from the time of our arrival and they seem to not take a ton of tandem divers up at one time which I think makes your wait time shorter than other places. Gregor (my tandem buddy) and Tyler (my videographer) were great. Gregor explained everything to me and made me feel completely at ease as a first time jumper- he was professional, super upbeat and lots of fun. Tyler's videography was amazing; I'd highly recommend the photo package especially for a first timer. You get an awesomely edited video of your complete jump including recordings of your flight up, dive, landing and interviews before/after the jump. The pictures were also great and really captured the experience. Our videos were about 6-8 minutes long and we received about 200+ pictures. Check out they're website for samples - I even think ours turned out better! Overall great staff, price, views, height, and photo package- highly recommended! read more
