my first time in colorado, and i still think about this latte :,)…read morei wasn't too familiar with the coffee scene in denver, but some locals point out this spot, and i'm glad i went! it's inside a quaint mini mall with small businesses, which i always love to support. the barista there was super friendly (i wish i caught his name, super chill guy!) and asked for a "barista's choice" since i was indecisive. we chatted about my taste and preferences, and settled on a jam sesh latte with an affogato on the side. ordering the affogato was funny since they hardly made any before but i was his fourth affogato order in a row lol. it was definitely summer heat outside so it was a perfect choice! the affogato was smooth, i believe they used a tillamook vanilla. the jam sesh latte was very interesting, in a good way! the cardamom and strawberry were perfect together, and the black pepper gave it a nice kick, and i like that it wasn't overpowering. a perfect balance! if i'm ever in downtown denver again, i would come back. highly recommend for those out of town and exploring the downtown area! with love, from california!

Music is at a good volume so it's not overly loud, fine for both hanging out and getting some work done. Easy to get to and find parking as well, making it much simpler to get in and out compared to other shops. Sometimes they'll have a food truck where you can buy food too. I've only had one pastry here (smashed croissant) but it's pretty good. Excellent service, super friendly and kind people. Coffee is alright, but the drinks come out a little weak sometimes. The flavored drinks are good, but a regular latte came out less strong than I usually prefer. I also learned that they make Vietnamese coffee by cold-brew batching it, and while there's no bitterness (from cold brewing), it does make the drink less strong. Usually Vietnamese coffee is strong and bitter because the sweetened condensed milk softens it and you pour it over ice. If it's already weak, putting it over ice further waters it down. Hope to see them keep experimenting with their drinks.
