When you sign the lease here about the non-smoking rules, don't trust it, the fact is opposite. Here the sky luxury apartment is a welcome place for all the weed addicts and drug dealers. You know why, because they pay LOW and get HIGH. Besides the only "fancy" lobby, you can smell the marijuana odor almost every where, inside the apartments, the hall ways each floor, the elevators... 24/7. Just image inside your own apartment, you got waked up by the strong marijuana odor in the early morning and you couldn't fall asleep by the sustained weed smell at the midnight. This happened every day from your lease start until the end. Repeat, repeat and again. For sure that totally would ruin your life here like us. In your friends' eyes, you are living in the SKY, but you know you are suffering in the HELL. Then let's talk about the Management Office. I always believe there are no bad students in the world, just bad teachers or irresponsible teachers. The management office here is an amazing transparent team. They will play disappear game after you sign the lease, but they sometimes show up just to remind you to pay for the rent. Due to the marijuana odor issue, they can't take any effective measures, and for sure they won't kick out the drug tenants, instead they will force you, the Non-Fault Party to stay on the old lease until the long end, NO transfer, NO termination. The funny thing is as the "famous" Moinian Group, the management office doesn't even have a phone number to call, they don't provide any office staff's working emails, if you want to reach them, the managementinfo@liveatsky.com is the only access. When you face the small issues, they will tell you to call the front desk. When the issues are big they will say you should call the police. They love to shift responsibilities, and HIDING behind by using the Covid-19 perfect excuse to WATCH you negotiate with the front desk and the police. Every time when you email them, they will say "thank you for your patience, we are working on it", and it usually takes days, weeks, months and no more responses. Just remember, your lease is just 13 or 14 months, if they can't resolve your problem within 6 months, that means like they are working on SHIT. Their plan is literally like NO PLAN. The main reason we got upsets with the management office is because when you got a problem, their starting point is Not Trying to Help to resolve it, instead they are Shirking Responsibilities, Delaying Responses On Purpose until your lease end and Forcing you to Accept and Adapt your problem by the act of omission way. Trust me, living here you will feel helpless and disappointed. That will total destroy the Manhattan's image inside your brain. I understand the Sky Management Team doesn't even care what we are commenting for under their Yelp. Look like other comments, OMG I got shocked to regret that why we didn't check here before signing the stupid lease. However, I'm still writing this long message that trying to remind and warn other the FUTURE RESIDENTS: If you can't accept living with the marijuana odor 24 hours a day like us, please DON'T MOVE IN. Because You Can't Breathe Here!! If you are a weed addict or drug dealer, thanks god WELCOME HOME!!

PSA: I've held back at making any type of announcement on this but for those of you who live in nyc, or show apartments in NYC, this is a must read. I've lived at the Sky building for over 3 years owned by The Moinian Group . Outside of their ridiculous rents that are charged, and pretty mediocre amenities, most of which you have to pay for anyway I've lived here for over three years, have paid rent on time, and even during the pandemic, paid my rent with whatever means I had to do so. What did they do during the pandemic to be compassionate? They waived the 3.5% processing fee to pay rent on your credit card. What a joke. Now, after living here for three years, way prior to covid, what's the thanks I get for living here? A beautiful rent renewal letter... For... ONE THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED dollars more than my already ridiculously expensive rent, a total of a THIRTY THREE percent increase. What a punch in the face to a tenant who paid rent consistently on time, and for what? If there's one thing I'm happy about, is the ability to share this with the thousands of people I know in nyc, their realtors etc. This is the true definition of a large corporation who cares zero about their tenants, how they live or what they suffer through. SHAME on you Moinian. Even though I CAN afford to pay what you're asking, you can go yourself merely for the principal. Avoid at all costs.

Off to the next building disaster

Since I lived on the 15th floor, I cleared the buildings below and had a great view. #1 highlight for sure. My windows are probably 100 years old and they said they would replace them when I moved in. It required some finagling to get them to open, and they can't do bug/safety screens etc so my cat always wanted to climb out. I'd expect once I moved out, they replaced them. They kept saying due to Covid shipments were delayed but I saw new windows sitting in the laundry area so a little skeptical about that. Management is responsive with maintenance issues. I've never had any conflict with the doormen, they are always friendly and helpful especially when I needed to dispose of an old couch. It's very nice having someone receive packages while you're away and sending up food deliveries. As a girl living alone, that definitely makes me feel safer. There is laundry on the first floor and generally the machines worked and there's a good amount of them. The only reason I would not give five stars is that if I had to pay the market price of 2300 for my unit, I don't know if it would be worth it. I guess you're paying for the amenities but not having the windows replaced meant that I never really had good circulation or installed an AC unit and the sun was so direct. In retrospect, I could have done something different, but I'm new to not having central AC and was being cheap. I also had roaches pretty bad in the summer. I definitely got over my fear of creepy crawlers. I think that's more common in this area and in buildings as old as these. So strange that they could nest all the way in the 15th floor.

Since the heat turned on the loudest banging imaginable wakes me up 3-4 times a night. Coming from someone that works 10-12 hr days this is not ok. Not to mention I pay $2550 a month to live like this. I have had to remain in constant contact With the manager and service request system. At first it was the noise, then the heat didn't work at all (for a week) and they never addressed the noise now over a month. So I started recording and reached higher up within the Brodsky organization. They do very minimal and close the work orders without checking back in. So it is a constant process for me to follow up and resubmit work orders. Not to mention nothing has been fixed and I shouldn't have to deal with repair men who are rude coming in on a daily business on top of disregarding that I ask them not to interrupt during hrs I need to go work from home! The first thing that should be done is to drain radiators.....why after a month has this not been done. Additionally, the doormen are polite, however, one in particular never remembers me and can be rude at times. I moved in and no joke a friend of mine came over and they asked him if I knew he was coming over and sent him right up. Really secure thanks! Nonetheless not worth the rent, not secure, and not recommended!!!! Go away from Brodsky and this building in particular. Too bad I can't attach a video the sound is obnoxious!!!!!

As…read moreanyone knows who does the NYC search from afar, it is incredibly difficult to line up showings and act fast on great options. Through several initial calls, Vanessa went above and beyond to initially get to know my needs/wants in the search and would line up several showings for weekend trips I could make it up to NY. When I wasn't available to make the trip, she would go out of her way to do a virtual showings with me, even going so far to walk around the neighborhood on video so I got the lay of the land. Vanessa's reliable, calm and optimistic demeanor keep me going and ultimately we found the perfect spot. I couldn't recommend Vanessa enough and would absolutely use her for any future housing searches I have!

I lived in an east-facing studio on the 4th floor, with views of the UN and the water. Rent was $1,650/month. The laundry room was located in the basement. The building also had an online website setup for residents, where we could submit repair requests, post furniture sales, job requests, etc. I really appreciated this extra bonus! The park in front of the building is especially gorgeous in the winter. Tudor City is a 20 minute walk to Times Square, and about a 15 minute walk to the nearest subway station on Lexington Ave. There's a cute nail salon ("Tudor Garden" I think) within the neighborhood, and it's a block away from a nasty Gristedes. I ended up buying most of my produce from the fruit/veggie guy in front of Gristedes instead. Also, the staff here are great. The doormen were extremely nice, polite, and helped me feel safe at home. There was only one doorman with a terrible attitude but he got a little nicer to me over time. The property management staff were always responsive and took care of any problems I had with the apartment. All in all...25 Tudor is a really, really good memory. I want to move back!

The buildings "solution" was to keep the sink stopper closed so the cockroaches could not come into my apartment through the pipes. That made it better but still had issues. The toilet chain rusted off within the month I was there and had to be replaced because the toilet wouldn't flush. I also had issues in which the fan my neighbor 1 floor above me and my fan were synched to the same remote. So when one of us would turn the light on it would trigger on the ceiling light. I talked to management they came in my apt and told me they had fixed it. Had issues again and now they tell me that they could not fix it. I had an amazon package delivered to my apartment. I had a confirmation email from amazon saying it was delivered. The doorman claimed that I must have picked it up. Later I found out that the doorman gave it to the wrong apartment. Instead of returning my package my neighbor opened it. My neighbor gave me half of the package but I was still missing half of it. Claims that it was never in there. Luckily amazon gave me a refund with no questions asked. I've had issues with the building manager as well. You have to reserve the elevator on move in. The manager put in the wrong week for move in so I had to call her back and sort it out on the day of the move after back and forth with the doorman. On move out I gave the manager permission for movers access to my apartment. She forgot to update it in my computer. As a result, the movers did not have access to my apartment the day of the move. Instead of letting them in the doorman told me to call the manager. I was at work and didn't have time to call the manager and offered to show the email as Proof that they have access. He refused to understand no matter how much I explained. I had to reschedule the movers. I only lived here for a year. The staff is incompetent and there is poor communication.
