Their reliability and ease of setting up the packing and move when I was not even able to be present and the timing was truly helpful. It was more expensive than I had ever paid for movers, even without the packing, and that's honestly why I could not give them full 5 stars. As a military member going through an honorable discharge to help my family in crisis while already injured myself, I had to empty out my own savings and my children's I had saved up over a 9-month deployment in the combat zone to move back to my family when they needed my help, not even sure if I could then provide for them. So while I really thank them for the job they did, I never financially recovered from that and I do ask Rock Movers to consider the vets or military members in San Diego and to complete a weight estimate for them to be reimbursed.

Honestly, it got worse from there. The two movers were very slow and you pay by the hour. I started loading and unloading stuff myself. I even unwrapped and moved furniture myself (ending up cracking my Apple Watch screen in the process). They movers left behind a ton of stuff at my old place. It has taken me at least 15 trips in my Honda Civic to get it all. They took my desk but left behind my desk chair, so I had to beast that myself. They left behind my big, heavy bike rack and I had to move it in my car, cracking the center console in the process (the car is brand new). I've called multiple times to try and get some money back but I paid in cash. They got my money so I'm SOL. DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM! Very shady practices, too. They are definitely not insured. I feel so bad for the guy who ended up in the ER. He will definitely be covering that himself (the other movers confirmed this). They didn't have me sign any paperwork beforehand. They showed up on the scheduled day about 8:30 am and we did a walk thru, showing them what was going and what was not. moving from a 4 bdrm to a 2 bdrm takes some downsizing. They started right in, wrapping, filling boxes and moving them out to the truck. Taking apart the furniture that needed it and moving it out to the truck. They are definitely good at their job. It took them till 10:30 at night to get it all packed and stowed in the truck. They were prompt on delivery day too. Showed up at 9 am . started unloading and putting together furniture and placing it where requested. Took till 4pm before they were finished with their part of unpacking . Great job! I also asked upfront if there was an extra cost for packing and they said no it just adds more hours, but then was charged for boxes and packing materials. Two of the crew spent much of the day arguing with each other, and one kept pointing out that they were behind schedule without it actually changing their pace. Two guys left before the job was finished (understandable given how long the day had already run, but not great). They also broke some of my dishes and were told not to tell me. When the crew lead was wrapping up, he told me the truck was empty so I started walking that way to check. He seemed reluctant and insisted it was empty, but I checked and noticed there was still a box inside, which he claimed was his own. The next day I discovered a full box of dishes missing, including a bunch of pottery I'd made myself and a bowl I'd brought back from Japan. I believe that box in the truck was the broken dish box, deliberately held back. The move was literally 10 minutes away from point a to point b with no stops, so it makes no sense how a random box could actually be lost. I contacted the company about the missing box, and after going back and forth having to specify the missing items three separate times, they offered to replace them. Unfortunately most can't be replaced, since the pottery was handmade. I explained this along with my other concerns about the move, and their response time has been incredibly slow. After telling me multiple times they didn't have the box, I wrote a Google review and then 30 mins later got an email they "found" the box and the dishes are indeed broken. They claim they were put in a separate part of the truck to prevent injury and then the movers "forgot". I asked them to return the box of dishes and provide compensation for the broken ones and was ignored. I followed up and was told they don't have the box. At this point I've filed a complaint with the CA Bureau of Household Goods & Services because they are intentionally withholding my own property from me. Do not use Grizzly Movers. I wouldn't use this company again, and definitely would not recommend for your move. I understand everyone has off days but I would expect better customer service after the fact for providing such a poor experience.

I called my fiancé to come speak to them as I felt uncomfortable, my fiancé asked him about his attitude and comments, and he quickly retracted, saying he only gets paid $20 per hour. Why is this my business when I'm getting charged $85/hr? My fiancé then asked if he had any issues with the move that we could just cancel all together. Elmurod never replied, but they proceeded with the move. During the six hours they were there, Elmurod was constantly on his phone. They eventually called a third person to help them move. However, upon arriving at our new house, Elmurod said he couldn't move our couch upstairs, it had the same layout as our previous home. We asked Elmurod and the extra mover to try and move the couch, and the other guys said they would. Not only did Elmurod demanded us to pay each man a $50 tip, but he also wanted to be paid upfront, even though they hadn't completed the job. We asked Elmurod to please work on the couch as the final item to be moved. To our surprise, while we waited for them, they simply left and let our couch in the garage and other furniture with our door open. As well as a bunch of packing trash behind. When I contacted their manager I been getting the run around, I shared photos of damaged furniture and shared the additional $190 I had to pay to get our couch moved upstairs. Still no reply and no resolution. I will be filling a claim. Furthermore, our dining table and chair got damaged during the move, even though you pay additional for their insurance they won't honor it. They contacted me and refused to provide a refund for additional movers to complete the move of the left over furniture and also stated they wouldn't provide any money back due to me leaving a negative review.
