Lee Jackson, manager, was attentive, responsive, and thoughtful through the planning process, rehearsal, ceremony, and reception. Like the good event manager he is, he was proactive, anticipating concerns in advance--he even arranged for my nieces and nephews to have a space of their own to play during the reception. The space itself is a beautiful throwback to Frank Lloyd Wright's take on modernism. The staff was responsive to the needs of our guests, and the food was excellent--more than one person commented that it didn't taste like "wedding food." When entering the side door of the theatre I felt like I was going back in time with all 1920's antique furniture, rugs and decor. Absolutely stunning. They kindly ushered us in from the cold and showed us the screening room where old vaudeville acts were performed in days gone by. On the other side of the entry they had refreshments set up, popcorn, which was delicious and drinks. Again I was brought back to a time where hospitality and kindness seemed to be in vogue. The theatre itself is a beautiful small room with chairs on top of an oriental rug facing the old stage. I can not think of a better place to watch a Twin Peaks screening. When we got there, our greeter told us that they had tried to do something different than your average haunted house. They were definitely right! No spoilers here, but I screamed a lot, and it was pretty entertaining. More engaging than the average jump out and scare you scenario typical of most haunted attractions, and some very unique bits. It only lasted 15-20 min but it was entertaining for sure. And no chainsaws! :) We went on a Sunday night and it wasn't busy - but it was still cheaper to buy the Groupon than to pay the "at the door" price. And if it's busy, the Groupon lets you skip the line. Highly recommend as one of the better haunted attractions in the area!
