Came in a group and we bought 1 hour. Came out to a little over $80. The staff was friendly and informative. The girl with the braces who work there had some cute lashes and let us know not to ride on the sidewalks. I agreed not to ride on the sidewalks but when I saw Club Island 1515, I rode on the side walk but don't tell the police ‍ lol. We got on our scooters and I was like Ooooooh THEY GOT A BLUETOOTH SPEAKER! My entire ride felt like the club. I had my Apple Music playlist on Go! I ride motorcycles so wind blowing on me is everything while in motion. Like it really means something to me. I was so looking forward to this. Now this was my first time and I didn't know what I was doing. My cousin crashed one time but eventually got the hang of it lol. I was a little rusty starting off but got it down pretty fast. I had no idea they can go that fast. It was like 25mph which SOUNDS slow but uhm... rest assured it was not. Pressing the gas all the way down too fast will send you souring quickly. We rode around downtown for about 45 minutes then made our way back to Glyders using GPS of course. I don't know my way around the downtown of any city. They gave us free margaritas when we got back! They really rocked my world! Once we turned in our scooters, WE DIDNT REMEMBER WHERE WE PARKED . Glyders has a ATV they gave us a lift to where "we thought" my car was. We got off the ATV only to discover we were lost in the middle of downtown Houston lmao. We walked around hopelessly and hot. Lol It became exhausting and stressful. We looked and looked and walked and walked. Finally I was like HOLD UP I didn't sign up for this! I called Glyders and told them I was at the corner of Travis and Bell. They pulled up on us and picked us back up lol. They were like where did you park? US: "uhmmm... it was like a square parking lot that said $10 parking and we parked on the side so we didn't have to pay $10" lmao. This describes every parking lot downtown hahahaha. I took a picture in my iPhone on the walk to Glyders after we parked and it had Fannin street on the sign in the pic. The pic location told us it was taken off Fannin and Walker St. so Glyders took us there. I have never been So Happy to see my car ever in all of my life. I wanted to kiss the car window. GLYDERZ GETS 5 STARS only because they can't get 10 stars. We will definitely be back and I will definitely be bringing more people with me

Why 4 stars? Because I really enjoyed seeing this side of Houston…read more --- --- --- Since moving back to the Houston area nearly a year and a half ago, I've remained as unimpressed as I was during my first 22 years here. The cost of living and weather are great, but we much preferred our time living in Tampa. One reason is the beauty, or lack thereof when driving on most interstates. Billboards, car dealerships and businesses stacked on top of businesses are basically all that one sees. What does all of that have to do with Bike Barn Bayou Rental? Well, my friend was coming to visit Houston for the first time and I wanted to showcase the city in the best way that I could. Since I know he loves cycling, I figured that would be pretty ideal, and it ended up really working out! I called ahead since I'd never been here before and was told that there were plenty of bikes available to rent and that I could just show up. A couple of hours later, we arrived and the process was pretty easy. We filled out waivers and were given a quick explanation of where the trail would take us, and then we headed out. We had the bikes for 2 hours, but completed the entire main trail in about 30 minutes. I stopped back in the shop to ask where else they would recommend we ride, but I also requested a new bike. Every time I downshifted below the highest gear, the chain would consistently pop whenever I'd push slightly harder than normal. I was given an alternate bike and suggestions on where to ride next, which was great. But unfortunately, the new bike had the exact same problem. I sucked it up and just dealt with the chain popping, but it was definitely annoying. However, the overall experience was still a great one, as I was able to see a ton of Houston from an angle I'd never experienced before. The entire ride along the Buffalo Bayou was great, but also, we ended up riding all through downtown and came across some cool parks and other really nice spots. It helped give me an appreciation for Houston that I've definitely never had before. So thanks, BBBR!

The trails are well used. Bikers, runners, and walkers alike are all welcome. Any day of the week you can use the path and be assured that you won't be the only one. The paths are flat and free of garbage. Here's what I don't like...dog poop and lack of bathrooms. The dog poop I blame on the dog owners. Come on people...just bring a baggie and pick up your dogs poop! Every couple of feet there are big dog turds just off the side of the path, and sometimes on the path. I like to go for long runs sometimes, but without bathrooms it is almost impossible. There are trees off the path, and if nature calls then I sometimes find myself having to make use of them. Enjoy this gem of a trail!

I've attended several competing boxing/kickboxing classes in the Houston area lately, and I have to say - the teaching is the real differentiator here. Training was personalized (equally distributing periods of 1-on-1 focus/training amongst all class members). Corrections/suggestions were often provided to ensure proper form and technique. I feel it important to mention that these corrections were given in a respectful and encouraging way - never high-pressure nor discouraging. If you're looking to get in a great, fighting-based workout, but also actually learn the best methods to do it properly, this is the place for you. My daughter and I have been dealing with an issue at the GlyderWorld establishment in downtown Houston all day and night September 3rd. Glyder World held my daughters license without cause. She rented from them yesterday to ride in the streets of Houston. She was with 2 other college students and they were celebrating her birthday. They were robbed by a homeless man and he took one of the scooters to get away. A security guard chased him.   Distraught, they walked back to the Glyderworld location only to be met by non-caring or concerned bunch of employees. The scooter that was taken was not my daughter's scooter. She brought her scooter back but since the robbery occurred without them having ID on them, when they went to Glyder world to return her scooter and let them know of the robbery Glyderworld did not help them. Instead the GlyderWorld manager told my daughter they were not going to return her license even though she returned her scooter and needed her license to return home to Virginia. My daughter turned in the scooter from her contract but her friends scooter was stolen during the robbery, so Glyderworld kept my daughter's license that was not part of her friend's contract . The friend paid an extra (no ID) fee contract to rent her scooter. I am upset that GlyderWorld did not help them or provide aid to the girls. They left them to fend for themselves, knowing they were robbed. We were out of town and flew in to deal with this. We ended up getting the police to step in and file a police report and GlyderWorld still has not returned my daughter's license and her scooter was returned. Glyder world is an endangerment to the lives of City of Houston Residents using the streets and sidewalks. The patron is operating a motorized vehicle in the city of Houston at night without a license and if anything happens to those patrons (mostly young people) or the people on the street they have no identification to identify themselves.  The fact that there was a robbery and this establishment kept her license when she was not the one that got her scooter robbed yesterday, however was among the group that endured the robbery is egregious.  This story must be told to the public. My daughter is a college student who was here for the weekend celebrating her birthday when the incident occurred. She has no license to get on the plane to return to college in Virginia after the holiday. This could have been worse and can happen to many of our young people and I want to make it public since this could have been a lot worse. Houston wants to be a top tourist city but we need to make our businesses step their practices up to manage like a city with tourists traffic. We are thankful that all the girls are alive and well. We support our Houston small businesses but this is one business that is endangering our young people's lives daily.
