We own a 27 foot Jayco Greyhawk Class C RV. We were having issues with clearance in the rear of the vehicle as well as significant bouncing from side to side while going down the road. Vance and Randy are awesome. My Freightliner Cascadia was making a knocking and popping sound everytime I turned left and right. I brought my truck in here. My truck was repaired in less than 25 hours. They found the problem. A loose leaf spring bushing was rubbing up against the leaf spring hanger. They replaced both leaf spring hangers and all the bushings (at my request). Vance called me frequently to give me updates. And Randy was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He answered all my questions. I would rather come here for my suspension issues instead of the dealer. They will get my future business. read more

This is the only quality place in town I've found that does BOTH repairs and alignment, and they can do it for my Class C motorhome. This is a BIG DEAL for an RV owner who needs to get it back on the road and not shuttle it around from place to place. They are centrally located and appreciate your business as well. I didn't get that feeling from the big alignment shop in town that many have referred me to. That other alignment place also messed up when ordering replacement wheels for my Ford Explorer. I've also been to a 3rd highly ranked alignment place, and was underwhelmed by them as well. Skip's did a great job. read more

I needed an extra leaf added to my 15 F350 and Skip's Springs did an awesome job. Fast forward a year or so and I needed an alignment. I took it to a highly recommended off road shop and the guy spent the next hour talking about how awesome he was. The alignment was crap. I called around and they said Skip's springs did alignments. The price was slightly higher than I was uses to, but they went so much further than any other shops would have. The owner took the truck out several times to make sure it was right. He also took me out to make sure I was happy and he explained everything. I can't bring to words, how happy I am with the job. They could align a boat with 7 tires that was wrapped around a tree. If you need an alignment, run away from the big chain shops and go to Skip's Springs. read more

Skip's Spring Service. Pretty catchy name to say the least. Anyway, I needed my worn bushings and ball joints pressed out of my stock front upper and lower control arms (came out of a 2001 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am) as well as having to need the new ones pressed back in. Wasn't really pressed on time (no pun intended) and so there wasn't much pressure on the boss man especially since I caught him in a bad time; his daughter was getting married over the weekend. Regardless, dropped off my control arms around 4pm on a Thursday and then got them back on Monday around the same time. Not sure if that's slow or fast however, the work was done extremely well. The guy was real great too! His name is Randy (I assume the owner) who is an outstanding, down-to-earth individual who truly loves his his company as well as big, loud engines! All-in-all, the work was fantastic and the pricing was as expected. You get what you pay for and I got professionally pressed ball joints and bushings that should last for years to come. On top of that, was outstanding service, decent pricing, and done in a timely manner. I am very pleased about the professionalism and knowledge the owner has and would definitely recommend this shop to anyone who is needing this type of work. read more

I've never given a review this bad. If I could give less that one star I would. I feel it is my personal obligation to warn people about this business. Here is my story. I called to get a quote for new spring bushings in my 2004 f-350. Skip asked me to come in so he could look at the trucks bushings to make the determination on size. After work one evening two weeks ago I went to see him. I have Fabtech aftermarket 8" lift springs and he wasn't sure he knew the correct size? I should have been concerned then, cause I came to his shop for this exact same serve 4 years earlier. Same truck, same spring bushings. He even has the same truck in the parking lot as his personal vehicle??? He doesn't keep records and doesn't use a computer... Sorda brags about not being up to speed when it comes to technology. Yep, that generation... He told me he had the bushings in stock, but suggested I get some new sway bar end links. As the old sway bar bushings were worn out, I said that sounded like a good idea. he said he would have to order them and he would call me. He gave me an estimate of around $250.00 for parts labor and service, but he would know more after he had the job complete. I called him early the next day to let him know I decided to go a different direction with my repairs and to thank him for his time. He informed me that he already had the sway bar end links at his shop and he could not return them. I asked him how he got them so fast, because he told me the previous evening around 4:30pm that he would have to order them and that they would take "a while" to get in. He just changed the subject and got defensive. I also found out that he already billed my credit card for the full amount, not for just the parts like he said. Even though I suspect he had the parts all along. I asked for a refund and to credit back the $250.00 fee to my credit card. He said 'NO'. He wouldn't do that. I asked what he suggested and he said I could come pick up my parts and have someone else do the work. He said the parts are now $250.00. He tried to explain that he had fixed cost in procuring the parts??? I said, "you mean the parts you had in stock?" He then told me there would be at the very least a restocking fee for the sway bar end links and the bushings and maybe he could issue a small refund. But first he would have to deduct out credit card fees and expenses. That would negate out the entire $250.00 fee. He later suggested I could come get the parts for $250.00 with no labor and the job incomplete. I googled fabtech sway bar endlinks and found several shops in las vegas that sell them for $44.99 a set. Skip charged me $250.00. No service ever took place. I was told I would be contacted by this repair company after the 4th of July holiday weekend to schedule an appointment for services previously discussed. I never did receive a call from them to schedule an appointment. I do not intend for this shop to repair my vehicle. They had no authority to bill my card. Please be warned. F-350 read more

I was referred to skip by another company. I am a transportation company out of Phoenix and had an issue with my mini bus that needed immediate attention. I work on cars myself and I hate it when people tell me they have a time frame. But, I had a time constraints that I had to work with and because of the group I had. Now we looked at what the problem was and he said he had the parts in stock so I told him the time I had available to do this and he said he would do the best he can with the limited time frame that was available. I felt secure with him working on my vehicle because he had a brand new 2015 Ford f-550 from Bell Charter who is one of the biggest bus companies in Las Vegas in his parking lot. To me that shows that if the largest company in town uses and trust him with their equipment I should be able to do so as well. I asked him if there was any place to eat around the shop and he suggested a place that was only two blocks away and the food there was awesome. Skip was honest and straightforward with me from the beginning gave me an estimate of about $700 and it only ended up being about $560. I told him I needed to leave by about 2:45 and when I got back they were still finishing it up but I was able to leave about 2:50 pm. He explained that there was a significant amount of rust which I understood because the vehicle had originally been from Colorado and was also / 256000 miles. so even though there were major issues that he resolved he stayed within five minutes of his projected time and under budget as well. I told him that I return the following day when I had time to purchase the other part and would have it installed in Phoenix so that I wouldn't have to put them under any undue time constraints. I know he runs a busy shop and I truly appreciate him assisting me last minute and anytime I need work while I am in Vegas I will make sure that I come to him. skip did a great job and did it in the reasonable amount of time and got me back on the road and my clients as well as myself truly appreciate what he did for us. I would recommend him to anyone that needs spring service, alignments or just a good honest straightforward man who has been in the business many many years and truly knows what he's talking about. it's rare in today's society to find a company that still believes in honesty and integrity and runs their business in an old fashioned way making sure they do the job right the first time and taking care of the customer. I'm sorry to see there are so few businesses like this out there today and know that they will stay in business for many many years to come. read more
