A friend of mine towed her vehicle there and was told that he was not going to fix a water hose because she has rusted pipes and she just needs to send it to a junkyard. When she just asked if he could fix the leak water part he told her he charges 150.00 hour and he refused to try to fix it and over holidays he told her she had till 1/2/2026 to get the vehicle out of there or he would have it towed. He has the key and was closed over the holidays and now in the 2nd he has not answered the phone so she could make the arrangements to get the vehicle. She has been stressed out over it. Well, first off Gerard and his father Lou own the shop and run it. As busy as they can be at times they are always so helpful and make the time to talk to you and address any concerns and very politely at that. They were recommended to me by good friends as they couldn't stress enough the trust they have in this father and son business. This has been my third time coming to Gerard and ALWAYS GIVES ME A FAIR PRICE! I know this because I always call around to ask for quotes and price for labor. He NEVER FAILS ME. Well this last time my engine light came on and I took the jeep to him. He informed me it was the catalytic converter & how expensive the part was and if I wanted to search for a better price he was ok with that. Quoted me an excellent price for the labor as well Turns out one of his customers had the same issue with her jeep and told him that the jeep had a recall for the exact issue my jeep was having and the same year. He advised me to call the dealership to see if my jeep qualified for the recall. So I have an appointment to take the jeep in tomorrow and if it is the catalytic converter (which I already know it is) they will replace at no cost to me. I was stressing out at how much this was going to be over $900 out of pocket just for the part. Mind you by Gerard recommending me to get it done for free because of the recall, he's out of the job/labor But that just goes to show the integrity he has and his father. They run a legitimate HONEST BUSINESS I definitely recommend Gerard and Louie at LAST STOP AUTO to give you an honest inspection of your car and price to fix it. They should actually be called "honest" auto but I know that business already exist and they probably don't live up to that name like "last stop auto" does! read more

Being a retired mechanic it is hard to find someone you can trust and I can tell you Gerard and Lou are it. They replaced the thermostat and housing as promised at the price Gerard said. No micky mouse shop fees or added on crap. Changing it is not like the old days of two bolts and done, A V six engine today like everything else is a pain in the ass, which is why I didn't do it. Go see these guys when you need work done even if it is just an oil change. It is best to try and see them before noon as they really busy as the day goes on. I think I found an honest mechanic. Gerard and Louie were amazing! They went above and beyond and saved me thousands of dollars. They're no-nonsense guys that tells you if your car really needs a certain repair item or not. I took my car in for an oil change in another shop and they started saying that my water pump was leaking and something about the suspension system had to be replaced. I was considering buying a used car from a friend but didn't know anything about cars and also had a bad feeling since there was already a brake lamp light on and the side mirror glass needed to be replaced. I can't tell anyone reading this how many times I brought my wife's old 99 Ford Ranger (156,000 miles on original engine and transmission) in for any issue and they knew what the problem was right as I drove in.
