Love this candy store for all their retro candies along with the more fancy chocolates. Was disappointed this trip as they seemed picked over and no Carmel apples but it could have been we went later in the day on Sunday. A good time was had and we managed to pick up a few goodies.

The Candy Corner was unbelievable. My 2 great nieces 7 & 11 were overwhelmed with the variety of candy they have including some oldies but goodies from my era. They filled their shopping baskets and their aunt (me) treated them to an assortment of treats. I also bought fudge for my husband (the big kid). Both the traditional and chocolate peanut butter were delish! We'll be back for sure!

This candy store is so adorable and the store owner was very accommodating. We were able to choose a box of truffles even though the store was busy, so I really appreciated the staff's willingness to meet the customer's needs! The truffles tasted amazing and there were so many candy options!

How can you give anything less than 4 stars to any candy store. The store was very spacious and the shelves were stacked with plenty of options. All types of chocolate, you can't go wrong. Staff was friendly even though it was a bit packed.

The chocolate from here is legit. I loved the ones with the caramel inside. The caramel wasn't too chewy so it doesn't get stuck in your teeth. I also love the salt on the outside that adds a nice contrast to the sweet chocolate. I love little candy stores like this. Check it out!

Great place to get lost in your childhood memories of the corner candy store. Giant selection of chocolate covered goodies. I recommend the chocolate covered pretzels and blueberries or chocolate covered toffee. Some really neat gift ideas too!

I spent more time in here today than one might expect. My mom was on a hunt for jelly beans and we found this shop in Peddler's Village as we were getting ready to leave for the day. Two seconds later -- and I literally mean two seconds later -- the sky opened up and hoards of people raced inside for shelter. Meanwhile, my mom could be found on the lower level of the shop happily filling up a custom bag of jelly beans from the wide selection. Skip's also sells a bunch of soda, chocolate creations, fudge, and classic candies and mints. If you want to gain a few pounds or buy someone a sweet gift, you've found your spot! And if you need help, you'll get it. Despite the crowd, all staff members we encountered were on the ball and extra friendly. I even caught one smiling toward the window at the brewing storm. They were THAT happy. Eventually we gave up on snagging a break from the rain and ran for the car. Skip's isn't all too far from the main parking lot, so that's a big plus.

A yummy cream soda from the shop.

Always a cute spot to go check out in Peddler's Village. they have more candy than you can dream of and even have a behind the counter set of specialty made chocolates. You can find nostalgic candy here too. We always manage to find something sweet towards the end of our night. there's definitely something here for everybody.

They have a nice variety of chocolates and fudge in the case and they have a ton of brand named packaged candy in the bottom area of the store along with single packaged candies sold by the pound. Nice little candy store!

We visited the store two times before ordering, and both times they took their time with us, giving us an education on the various types and options. Although they have MANY clocks in stock, when we made our decision they had to order our clock, and it was shipped directly from Germany to our house. When we hung it up, several of the moving parts were not working. The owner worked with me over the phone (using Facetime) trying to get it working. It was decided that I would take the clock to them the next morning, and they would look at it in person. John looked at it, and within 20 minutes spotted the problem AND had it corrected! It seems that a small string from the horse and wagon got tangled up in a gear, probably during shipping. From my first contact with them about the clock not working, I felt very good about trusting them to work with me. They did that without question. They seemed to be concerned about it and I feel they went above and beyond what I expected! If you are thinking about buying a clock from them, do NOT hesitate! They stand behind their sales, and do everything they can to make the customer happy!!!

First, and foremost, the staff here are wonderful. They are patient, kind, attentive, and answered our questions (trust me, we had A LOT of them). The shop specializes in high quality German items, such as steins, wooden goods, gifts, Christmas ornaments, hand-made items, German meats and treats, and most importantly: hand-made cuckoo clocks. This is what we were here for. We picked up some gifts for loved ones before visiting their VAST cuckoo clock collection. The staff gave us demonstrations of each, pointing out the features and differences. They were truly incredible works of hand-made art. Needless to say, we purchased our very own hand-made clock and were absolutely thrilled to own it. Are prices a little steep? I guess some would say so. However, I'd remind them of the immense quality of everything in this shop, most of it being hand-made. Such types of items rarely exist anymore, and we were pleased to support such a business. Check it out! You won't be sorry!

Small selection of clothing without many sizes (almost no plus sizes - was looking for a gift). Was informed that there was an increase in prices because of an Jrish tax. I've been to other Irish stores - most memorably Donegal Square in Bethlehem. If you're familiar, this store is a fraction of the size but has some more unique pieces. Donegal Square has more variety and options. Purchased a hat for $21 as a gift, a magnet for $5 and some candy. Pretty standard pricing. Nothing extreme or unreasonable. Most of the sweatshirts were $40-$50. Didn't look at any specialty items like sweaters or capes. Unfortunately the hat I got as a gift doesn't work for the recipient so I'll be calling about their return policy since their online website only states online return policy. I'll probably keep the hat myself since it would cost more for me to drive back there since I'm in Jersey. Reason for 4 stars is mostly due to the experience I had I came at 4:30 on a Sunday night. The store closes at 5. The lady working really didn't want me there and didn't say anything to me until I approached her after a few minutes needing help. We started chatting but she was very wishy washy not giving me clear answers, telling me that I can call back when the manager is there. It was probably a one off thing and she was just tired from the night but it rubbed me the wrong way.

I purchased several one pound and half-pound boxes of chocolates. I specified for each box, that I wanted the boxes filled. I did not care what the weight or prices were. Each box contained assorted chocolate-covered fruits and truffles. I buy the same candy varieties each year, so I am speaking from experience. Every year, the boxes are filled with the chocolate-covered fruits overlapping each other and small paper cups, each with one truffle. The boxes look impressive, when opened. This year, the woman who helped me did not overlap the fruit and put them in the box piece by piece. One chocolate-covered orange slice took up one entire row!! Every year, there are easily three orange slices per row and four pieces of other fruit, I.e. apricots/peaches, per row. When my recipients opened their boxes, the candy looked awful. The boxes were half full. Once again, I explicitly said I did not care about weight and/or price. I wanted the boxes FILLED!!! I have never been so embarrassed! The candy was good, but the presentation was just awful. I am a very loyal and dissatisfied customer. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Edited to say- I also purchase the solid milk chocolate, foil-wrapped balls. Let me tell you, they were smaller than half their usual size. The foil is so hard to remove, I needed my 5 year old's little fingers to unwrap them! Smaller in size, higher in price.

It is a must stop whenever I am in the area, have never had a complaint. Their meltaway chocolates are outstanding. If you don't buy anything just the aroma in the store is a delight. I travel around the area and make a point of stopping in chocolate stores as my wife likes chocolate. No complaints from anything I have brought home from Pierre's. When I say they are tops, it is because I have been to many chocolate stores, stores that have been around for decades. These other stores make some chocolate and also resell other chocolate, not the highest quality. I will not mention these other stores as they obviously have a loyal following to be open for decades, I just want better. This shop has 35 years history and is operated under the second owner, they are not the new kid on the block for sure. But you want high end chocolate you have to stop in this rather non-descript store and give their wares a try. They also ship for a flat fee which I recently tried and the goods came earlier than expected, although I really rather prefer to visit the shop.
