Too bad, customer service is OK, but it's hard to find something affordable and in decent shape to get.

There's a review from January 17, 2023 describing a "Beautiful set up" - the pictures speak for themselves. If this record shop were just disorganized, that's forgivable. However, it is incredibly dirty, dusty, and smelly. Unbearably. Water from the pipes dropped on my body multiple times, I imagine that the records also experience this. I didn't buy anything. But I did book my wellness visit with my PCP so I can get a tetanus booster.

They also have a ton of discount boxes, so if you have time to browse, you can really find some absolute gems there at excellent prices. The guy who was working there was really cool too and actually let me know that a record I had saved on Discogs had just arrived so I was able to score it. When I shared that I was visiting from Jersey, he shared a place closer to home that was one of his favorite spots to go and source some hard to find records. It was genuine kindness and connection that was really cool and will make me return to MRL next time I'm in town.

There's a reason they've been in business so long. The owner explained to me that he's happy when a record finds a good a home, so the used stock is usually below Discogs. New stuff is also retail price and there's plenty of both used and new. He's also super helpful and knows exactly where an album is on the shelf if he has it. Online stock is pretty reliable, too, so you can pre-shop. Just email them if you want them to hold something and don't use the online checkout. They also have a shop in Providence and can move stock around quickly if you see something there but can't drive down. Dig here, you won't be disappointed!

The shop was extremely busy, so Chris asked if I already had a price for them in mind... I hadn't thought about it much, so I shouted out a random number and after a few minutes he came back to me with A HIGHER offer than I originally asked. I am not basing my experience solely on this matter, as nearly everything about the vibe and atmosphere was perfect, however, I absolutely believe this sets a giant precedent that most people need to know about Armageddon; there is honesty and true costumer relations. I cannot recommend this shop highly enough, and I will absolutely be back every time I come to Boston!

I emailed this company twice to clean a record I have, finally got a response today, the owner named Dave tells me to call him. I call him and tell him how I have this record I just received that needs a deep clean as it's very important to me and I've been looking for it for 10+ years (probably won't see another copy again) and it arrived to me dirty & figure the play could improve with a clean. He says he doesn't do one record, he does batches of nine. I told him I'm not interested in doing a batch of nine but I will pay him whatever it cost for a batch of nine or whatever just to clean this ONE record. Literally ready to pay whatever with no problem. Apparently money wasn't talking in this situation because he still doesn't care for or answer my concern or offer his service but proceeds to ask me 21 questions about my WHOLE collection (like he's trying to clean all of my records to get more money) and is more concerned with retaining me as a returning customer before I even paid a dime. He even asks me how do I clean all my records? What tools do I use? Why is that your concern? I'm calling to pay YOU for a service to clean ONE record ‍ After being annoyed & pitched all these different things for 10 minutes straight which I didn't want and kept telling him that, I proceeded to just say I'll send you nine records if you really want just so I can get this one record cleaned to which he replies now he's scared to work with me because I "sound aggressive" & he doesn't want any problems?
