The food was really good and our waitress was very nice. The atmosphere of the restaurant is cute and fisherman themed.

Judging from the accents I could hear, I think that most of the other diners were locals. I ordered the fish burger which was a very reasonable price at under $9 in 2023. The Mrs ordered pea soup and said it was excellent. Her soup came with a giant bun. That will fill her up. My fish burger was delicious but messy. It was so messy that I gave up trying to hold the bun as it disintegrated in my gentle hands. I resorted to using a knife and fork. There is plenty of parking for regular sized vehicles. The washrooms were okay but the men's room had no towels to dry hands. The have free WiFi that is password protected. This is a place to eat well and save a few dollars. If that appeals to you I can certainly recommend it. There's lots of tables so you should have no difficulty finding one that's the right size.

We thought that the food was far from good, much of the food was late, barely warm and the service was unfriendly. The food was very expensive too. I see no reason to recommend this restaurant to anybody.

The closest experience I can think of after spending a really nice weekend in Trinity was maybe Mendocino, but without the tourist hordes. The Twine Loft Restaurant was very charming, with stellar down home service, and delicious food options that the kitchen was happy to tweak. We both enjoyed the rustic modern dining room, the romantic ambiance, and the view of the water through the window. Our only regret here was that the weekend we were here was cold and foggy, so there was no real sit on the deck at sunset (or sunrise) option. Dinner was extra special at a fixed price of $65 plus beverages. Gayle chose the Moroccan Lamb Shank with Yogurt Mint Sauce (served with Lemon Herb Israeli Pearl Couscous and Roasted Vegetables), while I went for the Atlantic Salmon with Mango & Pickled Onion Salsa (served with lemon roasted potatoes and roasted vegetables). We shared that an a nice bottle of Canadian wine.

The setting is a renovated fishing shack, and is now very nice. The outdoor deck for drinks is lovely, right on the water. Highly recommended. Reservations needed for dinner.

We placed our order at the cashier (there is no table service) and we waited and waited and waited. After 15 minutes one of us went to the cashier and asked. We were told our sandwiches would be ready in 5 minutes. After waiting 30 minutes another one of us went to the cashier and asked. We were told that our order would be ready in 5 more minutes. After 45 minutes we asked again. We were rudely told that "I am only the person who takes orders. "I have no control of how food is prepared and delivered to the tables." We waited 1 hour 15 minutes. We were the only customers left in the restaurant. We asked again and was told the same thing: "I have no control of how food is prepared and delivered to the tables." She checked and was told it was still an open order even though there were no other orders. Finally between 80 minutes and 1.5 hours after we ordered, our three very simple sandwiches were brought to us. Non of the three orders required any cooking at all. They were only sandwiches. IF YOU WANT TO SPEND AN ENTIRE AFTERNOON SITTING WAITING FOR THREE SIMPLE SANDWICHES, THIS PLACE IS FINE FOR YOU.

Perfect beer pairings for all of the menu options, my wife had a Quidi Vidi Bakeapple sour (I opted for a cherry beer from the same Newfoundland brewery) to accompany her lobster feast while my son had a pop with a terrific burger. Shortly after we ordered, one of the servers ran down the few flights of stairs to the docks and then remerged grinning from ear-to-ear with our unbelievably fresh lobsters in a bucket! While on the topic of staff, they strike the perfect balance in attentiveness (present but not pestering) and are knowledgeable and friendly. The ambiance was somewhat casual but would certainly suit a more formal evening of dining as well. The price is a little steep but, considering the quality and portion size of their servings, it is quite understandable. Take it from this gob-smacked prairie boy, if you're in this area, this is a GREAT bet for supper.
