Last to first, the blueberry pie is exceptional!

We came for lunch (cod burgers and lemonade), which was exceptional, so came back for dinner. Their cod bites, scallops wrapped in bacon, caesar salad, seafood stew (with cheddar biscuit), and blueberry pie (a la mode) were exceptional. We're stuffed... and happy! The staff were warm and helpful. The owners could not have been more hospitable (including driving us boat people around to fill jerry cans with diesel, buy ice, buy groceries, and get it all back to our boat on a rainy day). Our best meal in NF after five weeks circumnavigating the island!

Great spot! They have an outside patio too for when the weather is nice. Really enjoyed the homemade partridge berry jelly

Seafood chowder with a cheese biscuit/scone. Tons of ingredients and a generous entree size

We were staying in Bonavista for a few nights and our Airbnb hosts recommended Mifflin's for dinner. We dropped by at just the right time, as a table for two was getting cleared up. This is a cute, family run restaurant, with homestyle meals. The portions were very generous and we left feeling full and satisfied. The mussels in marinara sauce were the special of the day and just amazing. This was by far the best dish we had on our Newfoundland adventure. We also had the chowder and Newfie sampler. The chowder had a ton of ingredients. The sampler wasn't really our style as we weren't familiar with Nl food. Both were good, but the mussels were the real star!

Breakfast Toutons, fried bologna, baked beans. Highly recommend this local tradition and also recommend the molasses over using maple syrup

The closest experience I can think of after spending a really nice weekend in Trinity was maybe Mendocino, but without the tourist hordes. The Twine Loft Restaurant was very charming, with stellar down home service, and delicious food options that the kitchen was happy to tweak. We both enjoyed the rustic modern dining room, the romantic ambiance, and the view of the water through the window. Our only regret here was that the weekend we were here was cold and foggy, so there was no real sit on the deck at sunset (or sunrise) option. Dinner was extra special at a fixed price of $65 plus beverages. Gayle chose the Moroccan Lamb Shank with Yogurt Mint Sauce (served with Lemon Herb Israeli Pearl Couscous and Roasted Vegetables), while I went for the Atlantic Salmon with Mango & Pickled Onion Salsa (served with lemon roasted potatoes and roasted vegetables). We shared that an a nice bottle of Canadian wine.

The setting is a renovated fishing shack, and is now very nice. The outdoor deck for drinks is lovely, right on the water. Highly recommended. Reservations needed for dinner.
