We came to hear a band on a beautiful afternoon. We arrived @ 6:15pm ... Most tables on the deck were empty, but we were told that they were reserved. Only place for us to sit was on the lawn, where there was no service. we would need to get food and drinks @ the bar and take them out... tried to order food ... TWO servers said they couldn't take our order.. including the OWNER... while we sat on the lawn, they set 3 picnic tables up for a "special" crowd and provided service for them. On a positive note the band was great and the sunset was beautiful but service sucked. read more

Would give 0 stars if I could. Second time here and won't return. Went with a group of friends to listen to music last night. When entering we were told that there are not any tables left for the rest of the night and we could "fend or ourselves" on the grass by the band. We went outside and brought some chairs from the car understanding that we would have to order drinks inside. We waited at the bar for 33 minutes for the first round. The bartender was miserable and rude and the owner was looked equally as miserable. After we took our drinks outside, a large group showed up and the owner had her staff set up tables for this group and provided them service. Maybe they had reservations but it was not cool considering we had to wait inside for 33 minutes for our first round even missing the bands first set. We decided not to even go inside and try to order food that we then would have to serve ourselves. One of the guys in our group ordered a pizza and wings from Pizza House and had it delivered. It took less time then ordering our second round inside did. . I understand that many restaurants are short staffed but please don't ever make me feel like you are doing me a favor when I visit your establishment. read more

We have used this marina for the past two seasons and my wife refuses to go any where else ! The facility's are clean and well kept, the staff is friendly, Lee the lead mechanic is always helpful. The fuel is a bit pricey but has easy access. The pool is awesome, parking is all macadam, the snacks and food have been good. Plenty of space to enjoy the area and hang out. Everyone has been very friendly, from the staff to other slip holders who are always willing to lend a hand. We intend to move up to a 40' boat this year and are lookng forward to returning to ShipJack again. I have never had a bad experience with management so Im perplexed with the negative comments. I recently reached out to Dawn for information, which has gone days without response. When I first came across this Marina a few years back, I was determined when I do get a boat this will be the place to be. Now ready to purchase one I wanted to confirm whether there is a slip available to accommodate the purchase. ​I reached out back in July to Dawn, and although slow, she did respond. However, health issues surfaced taking me out of the market. Now ready to make a go I reached out to her once again. Days have again passed without any response. I am now wondering if the new management/owner has created such a change where staff is given the freedom to provide at best, poor service to newly interested potential clients. If so, ​I would need to be grateful to learn this in advance. Certainly, my experienced is shared as a warning to others. As this Marina might not be what it used to be. read more

I would give a minus if this app allows me, we had really hard time and bad experience with their manager Rich, if you are looking for a nice and relaxing new place to park your boat, don't go this one, otherwise, you will be sorry for all the aggravations later, I am wondering why the marina's owner allows such bad manager work there, but it is what it is... save yourself a trouble. avoid this one. read more

After several years as slip holders we are leaving this year. There have been several things over the years. When replacing pump out system raw sewage pipes were put in the carts leaking in them and on the dock. Rude service from office worker Mary Lou. Corporate owned and Rich who is running it is running it into the ground. Half of the slips are empty because of dissatisfied slip holders. Restaurant/bar only one hard worker you wait for hours and they close whenever they want. Few people ever go. wait forever for fuel during the week. pumpout always down(we use another marina for both)over charged several customers for electricity. Robberies a few years back and electricity out before 4th a few seasons ago and they never contacted slipholders. We come down for the 4th with rotten food and water from defrosted refrigerators in our boats. There are only a few employees who actually care about the slipholders or transients. Every year large amounts of people leave because of slipholder treatment and we tried to stay but it has gotten so bad and disfunctional we will be leaving as well. It used to be a great place to boat but isn't anymore. The River is beautiful and being at Skipjack with the way things are done there takes away from it. Don't be fooled when you visit. I highly recommend any other marina in the area over skipjack!!!!! read more
