The nail color selection is limited and flat (none of the new stuff). The manicurist were great - took their time and polished well. Upon check out I presented both cards, one for my mom to use and one for myself. The reception said they didn't take Spa Week, I told her when I called the receptionist said they did. Whatevs, but I know what I was told. On my second visit (2 weeks later), I booked a mani and pedi, but the manicurist I booked with was no longer employed there, so I was very surprised because I wasn't notified. The new girl was good too, so I was satisfied, but normally a call with the option to keep or cancel appointment is my practice. The business sends frequent email blasts that let you know about specials and pricing, which the prices have spiked, as of April. A regular manicure will now cost $30, color gel mani $55, basic pedi $55. These new prices will determine the frequency of my visits.

Compared to waxing, sugaring is gentler on my skin and is a natural exfoliant, so I have less irritation, breakage, and ingrown hairs. I've also noticed slower and minimal growth. My skin just looks and feels so much better! Sugaring NYC has a convenient scheduling system. Because it's a franchise, you can choose from multiple locations. You can book online and choose from a lot of time slots. I was able to make an appointment the day of and booked a Brazilian wax ($65). Service was great from start to finish. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by a friendly receptionist. The waiting area is SUPER CUTE and a pink lover's dream. Alexis was my esthetician, and she made my experience as comfortable as possible. Let's be real... getting your lady bits waxed isn't exactly the best feeling on Earth. But I felt like I was chatting with a close girlfriend! She was informative, personable, and took her time. The whole process was 10-15 minutes. I loved how clean and sanitary the facility was.
