They are NEVER on time. The last time I went, I called and asked if the doctor was running on time I was told yes. It was still a 30 minute wait so I got up and left. I was the only one in there. My doctor referred me here for a case of hives. While my experience in the office was good - everyone was friendly - my post-office experience left me wanting. First, Dr. Jacobson wrote me a prescription for a dosage of medication that doesn't exist. The pharmacist was very confused, and even if she could've made the dosage (by having me take 2 of a smaller dosage), my insurance company wouldn't cover it. Second, Dr. Jacobson asked me to have some blood tests run. She suggested I have them run at my regular doctor to save money. Sounds great, right? But after having the results sent to her office and then re-sent to her office AND calling to inquire about the results, I never received any communication from her office about them. The tests were expensive, and I regret having them done, because she never took the time to even tell me the outcome! I would not return to this office. I spent a lot of money and got ZERO benefit. I still have the hives, no prescription, and no test results. read more

I'm having trouble coming up with the right words to describe such a poor overall experience. I would never go back to this doctor, nor would I ever recommend it to a friend (unless they were somehow looking for a way to throw away money for no results). I met with the doctor to address an issue and was prescribed both antibiotics and injections. As a grad student, I made sure to ask how much this would cost. The doctor said "probably nothing" and I believed her. In reality, the antibiotics were $115 per month (which I simply couldn't afford) and the total amount for the office visit and the follow up visit was another $$400+!! (Of course I didn't find this out until later). Needless to say, these tactics fooled me and I will end up paying the price, but if I can do anything to pay them back I will make sure to. *Do not give your money to these thieves. *Do not believe when they tell you what insurance will cover *This place doesn't care about you. Beware - I have been a loyal repeat patient for years. I show up today for my annual appointment and they surprised me by telling me they are cash only now. I was not called, emailed or mailed this ahead of time. To make it right, I gave them the option to see me for free and they declined. So many healthcare providers don't recognize they are a competitive business and therefore must drive a customer-oriented experience. I appreciate some humor with a pinch of sensitivity in addition to professionalism. Appointments are made, confirmed and they always take me in early if they can. I was very happy that (I thought) Dr. Jacobsen and her staff had actually listened to my needs. Even after telling them 5 times what my needs were it apparently never sank in with any of them. I go to my injection appointment and not only did they not listen to what I stated repeatedly were my areas in need, they did not order enough Botox to cover these areas, then insisted on charging me for what was DEFINITELY less desirable work. How does this place stay in business? If you are considering coming to Dr. Jacobsen's office for anything, please do yourself a favor and go somewhere else, especially if you are being "treated" for Hyperhidrosis. You will be beyond "less than pleased". What a waste of money, a total scam!! There are not enough adjectives to describe how awful a place this is. I had bad burns from an IPL treatment done here. During the treatment, I was worried about how badly it was hurting and repeatedly asked the nurse if she should lower the settings, but she assured me this was "normal". The result was blistering 2nd degree burns on my my neck and chest that took several weeks to heal. The nurse and the doctor were dismissive of my burns and never called to check on me despite knowing about my outcome. I will not be returning due to the poor customer service and incompetence of the staff. read more

To make an extremely long and involved story short, she is rude, and I received multiple bills for painful and exhausting treatments that did not improve my symptoms. I can't review the actual doctors because I'm still waiting for their office to call me back. I called Monday December, 3 and left 2 messages with all the required information they asked for and called a few more times and nobody would answer. It appears you have to leave a message for any of their options and can't actually speak to anyone. It's especially frustrating when their message says they will call you back within the hour. It's been over a week now and no call back. Very disappointing and frustrating! I was referred to this office by a friend and will mention to her my experience and maybe suggest she NOT recommend this office to anyone in the future. Fortunately, I was able to find a place that picked up the phone when I called and they were very nice, professional and made an appointment for me for this past Wednesday. I was referred to SkinMD for a wart removal. After the freezing treatment proved unsuccessful, they decided to remove the wart. During the removal, the nurse practitioner cut herself and me (not close to the wart) by accident. Six weeks after having the wart removed it was obvious the removal was not successful. The edges of the wart were missed and had grown larger. To make things worse, their only advice was to return to the doctor who referred me there in the first place. I would expect them to take ownership and not refer me back to an unsuccessful doctor. Two weeks later, I got a bill for the treatment that simply caused pain and was unsuccessful. After calling and talking to them, they told me their policy is to charge the client for the work done and have no guarantees on outcomes. I would understand that policy if it involved some complicated medical procedure, but not a basic procedure of getting a wart removed. I cannot express my frustration enough and would strongly advice anyone from seeking treatment at SkinMD. read more
