I explained it healed but was coming back. The derm scoffed at the fungal cream I was using and suggested using a steroid cream for hives. After a week my rash had come back worse than ever. I sent pics to their email, as they suggested,of how horrible the rash was getting and never heard back. I went to another derm and he was able to correctly identify my problem as a fungal one and treated it. The steroid cream I was given was the wrong move! It's fine that it was misdiagnosed but the problem is they didn't communicate back to me at all. I do not recommend this place.

My son went to dermatology of West Florida was seen by a dermatologist and spent a few minutes with…read morehim not listening to his past history of the skin rash that he had developed over his eyebrow instead of looking at his photographs and listening to him explain what has been happening to him for nearly 2 months she scoffed at his prior diagnosis of a fungal infection, and diagnosed him with a hive. The doctor prescribed steroid cream, which made his rash extremely worse. My son called and emailed photographs to the doctor and received no response. By this time he had traveled to another state. Made another appointment with another dermatologist, who took the time to listen and review all of his photographs of his rash and listen to the diagnosis. This dermatologist with 100 percent confidence diagnosed and confirmed it was a fungal infection, and that the steroid cream prescribed by Dermatology of west Florida was THE ABSOLUTE WRONG THING TO DO!! It made it WORSE!!!!! Now he's treating it for fungus, and is now improving. So disappointed with Dermatology of west Florida. How can a doctor misdiagnosis a fungal infection? Plus not offer a follow up? Grossly negligent. I sure wouldn't go there for anything!!!! If they can get this wrong, what other harm are they doing to other patients? My advice? Don't go there!!!! I wish I could give 0 stars.
