It's my wax place in Tucson! The ONLY reason I don't give it 5 stars is that I think the price should be discounted for pre-booking writhing a timeframe! A facial experience with Beauty Republic is really unlike anything else out there. One of the things that drew me to them is that they were willing to use only products that contained plant ingredients. I'm unable to use products with synthetic chemicals because my body is very sensitive to them. Many skincare businesses have a problem with this because so many products that are out there are not actually clean and non-toxic. This was not a problem at Beauty Republic though. Not only did my skin feel fantastic post-facial, they sell products that I can buy to use at home, and there are so many options to choose from that meet my criteria of being clean and non-toxic! We are so lucky to have this business in our city.

Beauty Republic is now located at the address reflected on their business page here on Yelp. The studio is actually located on a residential property, but it is NOT inside the main house. They make sure to provide you with instructions via text message the day of your appointment, which is very helpful. The studio is now officially a team of two, lead by founder Marissa Duarte and her sister in law Vanessa. The services no longer include nails services. Their focus is entirely on skincare. Vanessa does offer waxing and lash lift/tinting services though! So, if you are looking for a place that is entirely dedicated to facials of various kinds with a holistic approach, this is it! And it's LOVELY. The studio is cozy and super well appointed. I was super relaxed the entire time. I went in for a facial that included gua sha with Vanessa. Vanessa is incredibly sweet and fun to talk to before and after your session. She keeps the session chat free so that you can indulge in all the relaxation possible and I loved it! Another nice aspect to their business is that it is a gratuity free zone, meaning that the pricing on their website is what you pay for and that's it. So you can think of it as the gratuity is included. I've never experienced that before and I must say it's a really nice way to enjoy a treatment. After my facial, Vanessa was gracious with her time and gave me some tips on how to use my gua sha stone at home. Her energy is wonderful and both she and Marissa seem to be super dedicated to continuing their education and developing all the skills they need to be the best! I will definitely we returning again for another facial and plan on booking one for my husband as well.

Melissa's schedule is perfect for people who work, and she has appointments available to accommodate anyone's schedule. Good ole Groupon brought me here to enjoy a 90-min massage for a great price. Chelsea offers five different types of massage: swedish, lymphatic, deep-tissue, neuromuscular and aromatherapy (Aromatherapy is $10 extra). I received a deep tissue/swedish massage and can honestly say it was one of the best massages I've ever received. You know it's a great massage when you drift into that state of semi-consciousness somewhere around the 30 minute mark. Customer service was top notch and I will most definitely be back to visit again. Overall, not only was this a great massage experience, but I love to support new small businesses. It is obvious that Chelsea is passionate about her little spa and her profession as a massage therapist. *Note: due to the popularity of this Groupon deal, Chelsea is booking into late March now. However, if you want a quality massage experience she is definitely worth the wait. *Right next to Sunflower Markets, perfect for a nice little walk around for yummy goodies after your massage.
