Do not get laser hair removal here, it is both over priced and needlessly painful. Previously back…read morehome I was getting lasering on my face and neck for $40 per treatment. There was slight to no pain, it was over in 1-2 mins and any inflammation disappeared by the end of the day. It was gorgeous, clean, and knowledgeable while this looked like somewhere I'd get a regretful back tattoo. On the topic of tattoos, I have plenty, on my arms, back, collar bone, and not a single one of those compared to the pain I felt here. As a matter of fact even breaking my leg or toe and walking / running on them was more bearable than this. The only pain worse than this was when my appendix ruptured. Regardless I sucked it up, and dealt with the pain (and smell of my burned face which is a uniquely awful and disgusting smell btw). There was apparently no way to turn down the Candella settings or she simply didn't care. When I finished there was definitely a moment of shock on her face, perhaps at the fact that I looked like I'd had acid poured on my skin. She sprayed some sunscreen on (which burned and also not a single spray spf is FDA approved in the United States because they mostly don't offer full or completely needed spf coverage). I paid and was sent on my merry way. It cost $215.00 not including tip... $215.00 for the worst pain imaginable. The best part, is this is simply the precursor to the fact that now 5 days later my face is STILL erupting in red, swollen cystic acne and burns, with no signs of slowing down. I'm Asian, so I also know my skin if it does ever heal will be covered in dark marks / spots (post inflammatory hyper pigmentation) that I will then have to spend $100's-$1000's of dollars to get rid of either through more treatments OR topical products. Every other Derm and Esthi I have talked to / facetimed to show the now lunar landscape that is my face has an audible gasp and cringe. I used to have good skin, my job involves me being on camera, and now my face is so screwed up I have barely left my house in 5 days, and am embarrassed to be around any other human being. As someone who had previously gotten FIVE rounds of laser and never had a problem, this is a particularly awful experience, and now I am forced to deal with intense pain, and semi-permanent scarring. Do Not Get Laser here, I promise you the pain is not worth it, at all. PS: I'd just like to throw in stop trying to sell people the coffee scrub too, the claims made about it on the website aren't even scientifically or biologically possible... No activated charcoal does not "make your pores smaller" (that's actually physically impossible!) nor does it "suck out dirt or toxins" re: There is "little to no" evidence to substantiate the claims skincare companies are making, according to a July 2019 article by researchers at the University of Miami. Beyond that, they write, the use of activated charcoal in skincare products is unregulated. Because these products don't claim to treat or cure a diagnosable medical condition, the FDA isn't forced to regulate what goes in them or how else they advertise themselves. - https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0738081X19301361 Further claiming it can help cellulite is also a BS claim, the only scientifically proven procedures involve lasers, liposuctions, or cryofreezing application. "No over-the-counter remedy has been shown to be effective in treating cellulite. That includes creams marketed to cure cellulite that have ingredients such as caffeine, antioxidants and herbal supplements," -- Dr. Dawn Davis, Dermatology, Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota Maybe I'm the idiot for not doing my due diligence, and reading reviews vs seeing a website chockfull of pseudo science, but either way I cannot express emphatically enough how horrible this experience has been. If you have scars (which if you go here you most likely will) a scrub wont fix your face, at least not the coffee scrub in a plastic bag. Alpha Hydroxy, Beta Hydroxy, or Poly Hydroxy acids, Vitamin C, or topical Retinoids are your best bet.

Laser Hair Removal of Ithaca - Bridal Updo by Bridget

We had a pretty early wedding (at 11am) and needed to get 8 of us through hair and makeup so we had to find a place that would start at 7am! Some sleuthing led us to Hair Etc (another option was Transfomations but they were a bit out of our price range) and we're so happy with the service we received. In my bridal party we had a number of girls waiver on the amount of services they wanted (mostly wanting to add makeup/upgrade to updos) and Bridget was wonderful about working with me to make sure we had enough stylists there to accommodate everyone. Bridget was responsible for both my updo and my sister's updo as my maid of honor. There were both awesome curly updos just as we requested and we received many compliments throughout the day! They also withstood hours of dancing at the reception (and when I say dancing this includes lots of rocking to Springsteen). It may have taken 40 minutes to take my hair our, but it was totally worth it for a hairdo that could withstand over 12 hours of wedding festivities. In general my bridal party tends not to wear a lot of makeup, so we did need to request a more natural look for some of the bridesmaids and myself (the default was to a more heavily defined eye), but they were good at encouraging us to go a little further with the makeup (with the help of our photographer) and I was really happy with the results! They really let us take over the salon that morning, even setting up a table for us to have coffee and scones laid out for breakfast. Towards the end of our primping there were a few other customers, so it wasn't fully private, but they did make sure to have us completely done and out of there by 10am to head up to the chapel. I would definitely recommend Hair Etc to any bride in the Ithaca area looking for affordable quality service!

Any concerns, to include billing and scheduling, have to be addressed through their patient portal. If you're not set up for that, or if the technology is difficult for you, I guess you're out of luck because of their desire for the almighty profit. Also, they indicated that I was 30 days overdue on a bill, but after calling insurance, Insurance said that Ageless never sent the invoice to them. They said they would gladly pay once they receive the invoice. And to add insult to injury, they added a finance charge to another the first invoice they sent me.

Do yourself a favor and find a privately practicing massage therapist instead of this sham. The…read more"manager" simply got her role because she married the owner- she knows absolutely nothing about being a massage therapist, esthetician or manicurist. You can expect a 3 minute "intake" (this is where the therapist is SUPPOSED to learn about your medical history, medications and current physical/mental state in order to develop a custom treatment plan and keep YOU safe... The management in this spa couldn't care less about your safety or you as a person in general. You are simply a wallet with legs that they're looking to gather their fee from and hustle through the turnstile.) Staff turnover is rampant- as is client turnover. I've been there several times- then found a REAL therapist who actually cares about their clients and listens to my needs- not someone who spends 3 minutes pretending to listen and then does as they please. No good massage therapists work here any longer than they have to- mainly because you can't work here AND care about your clients/give them the quality they're paying their hard earned money for. This place is a joke... Trying to make a place APPEAR nice in no way means that the management OR staff are caring or competent... Each time I had a different therapist, and yet the massages were all the same (way too rough- I felt like I'd been hit with a bag of rocks for several days afterward each time and had my muscles forcefully "cracked" with deep elbow strokes despite informing the therapist that I DON'T LIKE FEELING BEAT UP AFTER A SESSION). The therapist told me herself that she "loves really digging in there and getting at those muscles". Again, despite my requests to both the reception staff AND the massage therapists, only one actually listened- and, like all the good caring ones, she left and opened her own practice less than a year later (which, incidentally, is how it usually works out. Good therapists just plain don't stay here more than a year). They also employ therapists that can't even pass their State Board Exams- and have them working the front desk and giving people recommendations on treatments, products, which therapists are "good"... WHY would they continue to employ people who prove themselves to be incompetent & ignorant in the most obvious & formal way possible?? Because they can't keep good help, and because no decent massage therapist wants to work there. If you like paying your hard-earned dollars to be ignored, beat up, and generally receive bottom-of-the-barrel "service", this is the pit for you!
