This is February. As the light was not on in the shower it took a couple of minutes to adjust temperature. Still no heat on the couch. Was told it should be warm as it was on all day. I was offered another blanket as asked if I wanted the heat switched on. After another few minutes I honestly just wanted to leave. This was more like an endurance test. Was given another blanket. 3rd and Although still no electric blanket I was a bit warmer. Anyway I was glad when treatment ended. I wasoff the bed and dressed quickly. Told the lady in reception. Next day got a call and to add insult to injury was asked if I was still cold when I moved room??? Which didn't happen. Was then offered an extended complimentary treatment when I Next booked a treatment. Really??? I was just sooo annoyed I suggested that I wouldn't be attending again and they could donate to the Turkey Syria Earthquake Appeal. Reply was Are you sure?? I admit that I got another call from them at 7pm but I was about to eat and didn't want another night upset. Seriously Aura I am 60 years old. I work full-time in health care. My

Tucked away at the back of the lower ground floor of House of Fraser, the Clarins spa is ab fab…read moredarling! I started to use this salon when my lovely husband gave me a gift voucher for Christmas and once the voucher ran out I liked it so much I began forking out actual cash. My favourite treatment is the fake tan application. Unlike most salons which use cold spray tan machines, the Clarins girls, who are all really friendly, use a tan which has to be rubbed in. The good news is that they do so carefully and slowly so you actually feel like you're getting a massage in the process. The other benefit of this kind of tan is that you get a really natural colour and no-one will use the 'hilarious' line 'Have you been tangoed?' Something else I noticed is that these therapists are super professional, asking all about allergies and reactions and giving clear instructions about how to look after your skin after a treatment. Despite the spa's location in the upmarket House of Fraser, prices are competitive, for example £8 for an eyebrow wax and so it's pretty busy. If I had to talk about a drawback to the spa's location, I would mention the one and only time I have had a pedicure and toenail polish there. Not being forward thinking enough to bring along a pair of flip flops or sandals for going home in , I had to walk through the store to the car park in my smart work clothes and a pair of paper flip flops. Sooo not a good look sweetie, but a lesson learned!

The therapists here are such experts that they can somehow do a waxing more gently but just as efficiently so that you don't look like you have been in some sort of fisticuffs brawl during your lunch break! I also had the file and paint done on my finger nails before a big night out. There is a huge range of colours and I managed to get almost a week out of the polish which is longer than usual and a good price at £11. A little bit of indulgence for just over a tenner works for me. Another plus is that you can choose the treatment you want and book and appointment on line and the girls will do their very best to give you that time slot. I also have to confess that a have just started using the 'Boob Tube'!!! It's not some kind of top but a cream which promises to keep me heading north. I live in hope.

I love their text reminder service and they ahve special deals on regularly for their loyal clients (Yay!) It's not the cheapest, but it's worth it for the great location and great service. They are also very happy to squeeze you in whenever you need something urgently... very handy.
