This is a very bright and friendly beauty salon which can be found out the back of Castle court…read more The building itself is quite big for a beauty salon and bright pink so you can't miss it. They offer free consultations and are stockists of all the usual brands of spray tan such as Fake Bake, He-Shi and Sun FX. Sun FX would be my brand of choice in this salon - they gave me a really nice even tan with no appointment and no streaks for only £15. As well as offering all the usual services such as facials ad nails they also have semi permanent make up and a male grooming service. The semi permanent make up is £295 for the make up and a revisit and a top up - I personally would not be a fan of this but I have heard people say they do a really good job! I think this is a great place to nip in for a bit of beauty treatment if you are in the center of town - it is good value for money, friendly and convenient. Plus, I love the fact that they advertise all their special offers on the front window so you know what to ask for and how much it will be before you even go into the shop.

However, the quality of my wax has never been great. I've seen several different beauticians, the first girl left my bikini area bruised after every wax I had with her and the rest normally left large patches of hair. I been waxing for 10 years now and know that 6-8 weeks is the right amount of time to leave between my waxes to get the best results. Despite this at my last appointment my hairs were just broken rather than removed. There were also several large patches of hair that had been missed on my legs and part of my bikini area. Including both my knees, ankles and feet. At £45 each visit I'd expect better quality, for this reason I've decided to go else where.

City Centre

The therapists here are such experts that they can somehow do a waxing more gently but just as efficiently so that you don't look like you have been in some sort of fisticuffs brawl during your lunch break! I also had the file and paint done on my finger nails before a big night out. There is a huge range of colours and I managed to get almost a week out of the polish which is longer than usual and a good price at £11. A little bit of indulgence for just over a tenner works for me. Another plus is that you can choose the treatment you want and book and appointment on line and the girls will do their very best to give you that time slot. I also have to confess that a have just started using the 'Boob Tube'!!! It's not some kind of top but a cream which promises to keep me heading north. I live in hope.

I love their text reminder service and they ahve special deals on regularly for their loyal clients (Yay!) It's not the cheapest, but it's worth it for the great location and great service. They are also very happy to squeeze you in whenever you need something urgently... very handy.

East Belfast

First time at this salon yesterday and it most definitely won't be the last…read more I was looked after by one of the co-owners, a really lovely girl called Tracy. I had gel overlays done on both my finger and toe nails and it was a very pleasant experience. So pleasant in fact that I was late for the school run as Tracy and I chatted so much. Sorry kids. Tracy did an excellent job of tidying up my messy cuticles on both hands and trotters and then did my gels in a lovely dark dark purple. Sometimes the gel can be a little smudgy around the edges of the nail, but not when Tracy does it. After the relaxing nails bit came the pain factor - an eyebrow wax. I must say Tracy kept the pain to a minimum and applied a very soothing cream afterwards. Then the bit which I expected to be the most painful - paying the bill. The prices at BT4 are very reasonable to start with - a full £10 cheaper for finger nails than my usual salon. And get this - Tracy gave me a 15% discount as a first time customer!! So the bit I expected to be most painful was actually the best bit! I will most definitely go back to BT4 and would totally recommend it. It's not the most luxurious salon you will find in Belfast but with customer service and prices like I got yesterday, it is fab. One last note - when you have gone in the door off the street, you will have to go through a metal gate, which is unusual to say the least. I was a little taken aback and I'm not sure why it's there, but please don't let it put you off!!

I got a different girl for the nails called tricia and she was just as nice as the girl i had the week before the nails were great perfect shape and they even lasted just as long as nails inc 4 weeks so needless to say i have returned for my nails and saved my self a forture. there is always special offers on and the girls have converted my from decleore to dermalogica products. the girls are so friendly and do go the extra mile. i was slightly confussed when first arriving about the cast iron gate the greeted me but i asked the girls why it was there and they happily explained :D it is there for a gud reason as all things always are. would deffinetly recomment and will be trying other treatments in the future so will keep everyone posted on how they go.

Or when he had to go to the bathroom. Twice. As well as being staffed by lovely therapists, this salon is beautifully fitted out and feels quite luxurious and I love that they open late four nights a week. Unusually for Belfast, Beauty Culture also opens on Sundays which is great for busy professionals and yummy mummies alike. An eye bow wax is priced at £8.50 which is heading towards expensive but the standard of the salon reflects that. I've also had a back, neck and shoulder massage which was 20 minutes of blissful pampering and took the tension out of even my bunched up shoulders. The massage table is a beautifully comfortable leather one and warm towels were used to keep the unexposed bits of me warm. I really didn't want to leave and was so chilled out that I didn't even shout at the children, husband or dog for the rest of the day. What a result! Now I'm saving for the eyelash extensions at a slightly more eye watering £80. I think they're a must have for summer!

The treatments aren't cheap, but I suppose it's about average for a salon of this standard. However, they run a loyalty scheme, and it's easy to rack up money off future treatments.
