I originally chose this lodge because I loved the beautiful wood features in the rooms, and it was just as cozy in person. Our room was very spacious, clean, and comfortable. The bed was great, although the pillows weren't quite our favorite, but that's really just a personal preference. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay, and having the restaurant right on the property was such a convenience. We had brunch there, and it was absolutely delicious. The potatoes were my favorite! We also loved the peaceful wooded setting. It made for a relaxing getaway, although there were quite a few mosquitoes, so definitely bring bug spray if you plan to spend time outside. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would absolutely stay here again. It's a cozy, relaxing place that's perfect for a weekend getaway or a special occasion.

We were told it would take a half an hour after our dinner to split the bill? What?!? But okay we understand that splitting bills could take time and we were enjoying the atmosphere and company. Placed orders for beverages. My son and I ordered apple cider - the beverages that we received were clearly orange juice. One of our guests didn't receive their beverage for 45 minutes and two of them finally got their diet cokes after multiple asks. Then the food.... Out of 11 people 7 got their meals. My sister and brother in law - he got only a bowl of soup from his steak meal that he ordered. My sister didn't get her salad her meal or anything... My son ordered the beet salad and a side of broccolini - did get the salad, broccolini was never brought out. I had a house salad and a French onion soup ordered - never got the onion soup! My sister went and asked for the manager and the manager came to our table - asked what we were missing - never saw her again until we went back to show that somehow our credit card had been charged twice for two different amounts. Waiter claimed that the machine went offline and he ran it through again. With different totals? Make that make sense... For those that did get their food they said it was very good but for those who didn't get anything or part of their meal, it was unacceptable. They made no effort to make things right for those who hadn't gotten things or took too long. We were looking forward to a great birthday dinner for my daughter and got anything but.
