i have been going to skin care group for several years, dr. faulkner is the only dr., i have seen. she has given me excellent care.
and i have to wonder if the dr's. are aware of how their patients are being treated by the office staff.
7/19/23 i had a scheduled appt., i arrived on time and was advised there was a problem with my insurance not paying...on my previous visit i told the receptionist i no longer had my coverage, but i had my spouse's, which i have always been double covered. nothing was said that i needed to do anything at that time....
last week i'm told i needed to contact his insurance and advise them they were now my primary and i needed to request a form. i had contacted them the week prior, didn't say those exact words, but a jennifer told me to just have them resubmit, as if no problem.
i'm telling the receptionist this, she has to get someone else on the phone, i heard her tell this person what i was being seen for that day, (everyone in the area could hear what she said) the receptionist said to the person on the phone, "do you want to tell her" and hands the phone to me, immediately said, we will have to reschedule you....... by the receptionist telling her what i was to be seen for, she made the decision that my health care need wasn't that important and i could wait until they could receive payment from the insurance co., ...what i was being seen for, was none of her business and the decision not to be seen by the dr. was not hers to make! i had another issue that needed to be addressed that only my dr. knows about, and dr. faulkner told me any time i needed this addressed to call her nurse and they would get me in, i didn't need to, because i already had a exciting appointment and knew i would get an injection that i needed to relieve my pain, once dr. faulkner seen me. i was not about to discuss my health care needs with a receptionist and the waiting area so everyone could hear.. i was not going to argue with the person on the phone, that clearly is not a people person and has no business dealing with the public, much less in health care, when obviously is more concerened about collecting money, inwhich she did say i could pay $600 that day and be reimbursed once the insurance paid, then i could have been seen. i pitched the phone over the window and left, i never argued, cussed or said one word. i left!!!
i received a letter yesterday from lisa, saying i could no longer be a patient there, do to my unprofessionalism..
had someone done their job properly and updated my records on my previous visit, it would have been submitted and paid, also i had over a $400 credit, but nothing was ever mentioned about that, and still ask for a copay.
i have never been treated by any type of health care providers office with such disrespect and a "i don't matter' attitude!!! (all about money)
prople can forget a lot of things, but they will not forget how something made them feel!!!! read more
