I called ahead and…read morewas told the diagnostic fee would be about $100, so I went in expecting the vehicle to be diagnosed first. When I arrived and explained the issue with my 2018 Honda Civic--passenger side blowing cold air while the driver side was blowing warm--I spoke directly with the owner. Instead of performing the diagnostic I was told about over the phone, I was told they were not going to diagnose it and was pushed toward a $275 A/C service to recover and recharge the refrigerant. As a customer, I wanted the problem identified before authorizing hundreds of dollars in work. I specifically described symptoms that could point to something other than refrigerant, but the recommendation remained the same. I later took the vehicle to another shop, where they performed an actual diagnostic and found a B1235 code related to the driver-side blend door actuator. That diagnosis matched the symptoms exactly and led to a targeted repair instead of an expensive refrigerant service. I was disappointed because I went there based on the positive reviews and expected a diagnostic approach. Being quoted a diagnostic fee over the phone and then being steered away from a diagnosis once I arrived left me feeling like my concerns weren't being taken seriously. For that reason, I chose to have the repair done elsewhere.

I am writing to formally document and report serious concerns regarding Roadhaus Automotive &…read moreDiesel Specialist, with whom I had been a customer for a little over two years. Unfortunately, I recently experienced what I believe to be fraudulent and potentially illegal practices. In July, I was charged in advance for a part that was never delivered. I was told it would arrive in three days, but after multiple follow-ups, my calls were ignored and I was treated dismissively when I reached out. Despite already having charged my card, no part was ever received. More recently, Roadhaus requested $935 via Zelle for repairs they claimed to have performed on my vehicle. When AAA towed my car back, it was clear no repairs had been made--every warning light remained on, and the same issues persisted. I also have texts showing confirmation of payment and repair claims that were never fulfilled. AAA staff even reported seeing concerning activity ("smoking" my car) while it was in Roadhaus's possession, which raises additional red flags. When questioned, the shop rushed payment, citing that they "owed people money." No itemized invoice was ever provided, and despite paying in full, no legitimate work was performed. I have since filed a fraudulent charge dispute with my bank to recover these funds. This company and its representative present themselves with kindness, but in my experience, this has been a tactic to disarm and take advantage of customers. Based on my interactions and the documentation I hold, I strongly caution others to beware of this business. I am prepared to provide copies of texts, bank records, and AAA statements to support my claims. Please let me know how best to proceed in formally escalating this matter.

I called maybe 7-8 places when I needed to replace my G-Wagon (Mercedes G63) water pump. I could tell immediately that Carlos was an honest guy. Very soft spoken. Very transparent. 1. He got it done FAST... 2.5 days! 4. His pricing was fair and of course ... honest!! 5. He even cleaned my engine bay for free for me. 6. I was able to pick up the car on a Saturday. Taking all my cars to Carlos, period. The fact that he can work on a G-Wagon says it all. I can't stress this enough. With how shady the auto mechanic business can be, it is a gem to find someone with integrity. Glad I did. Energy doesn't lie and I am happy that I went with my instinct.

I'm not saying these guys are bad, but I wouldn't chance it at this mechanic, had high hopes but sloppy workmanship, and poor quality work and ethics for customer safety make me disappointed that this can easily be taken as shady mechanics. Maybe they had a bad day, but that's why they are paid to do their job, I did consider doing a chargeback with my bank because the value of work and damage done were equivalent of the bad job they did on my car, but I'll let fate and karma do their job, don't take my word for it. When I called, I specifically asked whether installation was included in the quoted price, and I was told yes, which is pretty standard at tire shops in the area. When I arrived, I was told my car would be ready around 1:00 PM. I also asked if they could put the new tires on the front and move the existing front tires to the rear. The employee at the counter agreed without mentioning any additional charge. I came back at 1:00 PM, only to find that my car hadn't even been moved yet. They didn't actually start working on it until around 1:30 PM. The biggest issue came when I paid. I was charged an additional $40 for mounting and balancing, despite being told over the phone that it was included. While I was trying to ask about the discrepancy, the employee handling my payment was on the phone and never addressed my question, which felt unprofessional. If the extra charge was actually for rotating the tires, I wish they had told me before agreeing to do it. I would have declined since I can get tire rotations done for free at Costco. If the charge was for mounting and balancing, then the information I was given over the phone was simply incorrect. The tires themselves are fine, but the miscommunication, delayed service, and lack of explanation left a bad impression. Better communication and transparency about pricing would have made this a much better experience.
