Once received, the second "new" motor didn't work properly. Dane once again refused to take responsibility and said that they no longer service a boat as old as mine. (They did when they took my money) Now the scone "new motor" from them needs to be replaced. I have a motor that has been in the boat since before I bought it in 2017 that works perfectly, and 2 of Lakeside Marine's motors have gone bad under the exact same conditions. Mary was delightful, and the service manager went above and beyond for me. The cost of service was less than I expected. Buying a boat is not quite like buying a car, who you buy your boat from really matters. First off, repairs on a used boat can be a costly surprise. Secondly, I keep boats for a long time (last Nautique for 20 years), thus you need a partner to help service through the years.
